Blarney Castle Hotel

The location was right next to the castle which made it a fantastic place to say if you're going to spend a day at the castle. The rooms were a pretty good size and the food was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and treated us well.

My dad found a nice large spider in his room and it's probably because they leave the windows open most of the time. It would be nice to have screens on the windows but that might not be something that is common in Ireland. The rooms had a lot of dust behind the furniture. Wifi was hard to find a stable connection. Parking is very very tight and limited. Supposed to be for guests only but no one monitors it and with only 5 spots, we weren't able to always park there.

The hotel was within a 2 minute walk to Blarney Castle. The restaurant was superb for evening dining, lots of choices and food was presented well, very tasty and a great selection of breakfast choices. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The room was big, a lovely walk-in shower and the usual amenities. Nothing was a bother to the staff. We got the room for an excellent price for the 3rd week in August. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The only downside is there are only 5 parking spaces at the back of the hotel and a 6th very tiny space for a very small car. There is only 2 hour parking on the main road opposite the hotel and the town is very busy.

The staff the morning after our arrival was amazing!!! We went down for breakfast and they were so attentive and answering all our questions. Room was nice and spacious very clean. Window opened out to the front so you could look out at the park across the street. Blarney castle is literally a five minute walk which was perfect! I honestly cannot say enough how wonderful the owners are and even with the few bumps we had they were extremely apologetic. This property really is beautiful and u would stay here again.

The evening we arrived they were having a birthday party at the bar inside so trying to check in was really chaotic just trying to figure out where to go then getting 7 people’s luggage up three flights of stairs when it was elbow to elbow people. It worked out in the end just wish we would have been aware about limited parking that night and the noise until about 2am.

The accommodation albeit very nice was rather small for two! the surroundings though were fantastic.

The bedroom we were allocated was quite small. The car parking was not available to us albeit booked due to the car park being to small. The venue had a function on and the attendees used all the parking that was available to guests staying overnight. This resulted in us having to park around the corner at the Woollen Mills. However it is only two minutes around the corner. Breakfast was a let down, there seemed to be a lack of staff and our order was forgotten.

Parking was very limited for guests. The shower in one of the rooms wouldn’t switch on. When we mentioned it the man was quite rude saying it does work. After breakfast the maintainance man (who had already been up to the room) took me up to show me it was working. I didn’t want to argue but as 4 of us had previously tried this it had definitely been adjusted when he showed me as you can appreciate if 4 of us tried it short of us all being thick it was definitely NOT working earlier.

The services were excellent. Breakfast, lunch, dinner menus were exceptional and at a reasonable price. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Bonus car park at no extra cost for those traveling via car. The room was very clean, the shower was hot, and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend anyone to stay here. It is right across the street from Blarney Castle. Could not have been better location or experience. To boot, on our day leaving, the owner brought us to-go coffees. Cannot say enough great things about our stay here.

Everything about the Blarney Castle Hotel is exceptional. Hotel staff is so friendly and helpful...just amazing. The food served for breakfast, and for dinners, are nicely prepared and taste so good...just amazing. The accommodations are very clean, have been recently renovated, and the rooms are perfect...just amazing. The owner of the Hotel is so nice and he wants to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. We stayed 2 nights.

3 Night stay - Set in the beautiful village of Blarney this hotel is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Our room was spacious and clean with all amenities including Tea/coffee/water. Toiletries included. Safe, iron etc. The restaurant serves local fresh food and breakfast was delicious with lots of options. This hotel has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and I would definitely recommend. Friendly staff. Stone's throw from Blarney castle and some nice independent bars and restaurants in the village. We are glad we made the decision to stay in Blarney rather than Cork city, as it was lovely to return to after a busy day sightseeing around the southwest of Ireland.

It would have been nice to have a dedicated reception staff member. All staff were able to manage check in or out requests, but they were often busy doing tasks around the restaurant or bar areas and so we didn't feel able to ask for local information etc.

Blarney Castle Hotel is a truly wonderful place to stay. The location is so scenic and only 10 minutes on a bus from Cork City Centre. The staff are all really pleasant and the breakfast was extraodinary. Although it looks very old fashioned from the outside, our room was stunning and really modern. Cannot recommend enough

Getting service could be a small bit slow, for exampling checking in and checking out. However this seemed to be due to staff being very busy and wouldn't stop me recommending this location.

Location to Blarney castle was perfect , within close walking distance .

We were required to book 2 separate rooms due to having a 12 year old child , even though there was 2 beds ( a double and a single ) so our family had to sleep separately . We defintely could’ve just stayed in one room with 2 beds but h th is seems to be common in Ireland ?
