The reception especially the man with Glasses and Beards. When I complained about the TV in my room, they immediately changed my room to a better one. Also i bought some african food from outside, and they allowed to eat it in the hotel after preserving and warming it up for me everytime during my stay.

The Shower was a little slower in my new room after the change, maybe because it was on the last floor.

The staff was very good, friendly and helpful except one. I was very upset about a man with the name of Atilla.(working the evening of 28 December). I asked relevant questions about transport to the airport and he treated me like a stupid schoolboy. I know Hungary use Forint as a currency but when I ask if i could use Euro to pay the taxi to the airport he was very rude and gave me a lesson about countries where the euro can be used. He was also very unhelpful about the time the taxi could pick us up, it MUST be exactly 3 hours before the flight and not anything else, and then we had to wait for other passengers more than 30 minutes at a next hotel. I don't think this behavior is good to a lovely hotel

The staff was super friendly and the bed was very comfy. Everything was clean.

The furniture is pretty old and the toilet flush was broken but after talking to the staff they fixed it. The location is good, close to bus and metro station, but a little outside of the center area. The breakfast was average and definitely not worth the money. I honestly expected a better breakfast in a hotel, as I usually stay in hostels and they all had better breakfasts so far. The taste of the food was average and the options were very limited. Luckily I'm a vegetarian, if you're a vegan there's hardly anything to eat for you.

A nice new budget hotel. It is pretty basic, but the rooms are clean, quiet, and the breakfast was OK. Metro line M3 is a few minutes away, and a trolleybus stops in front of the hotel, providing easy access to downtown. The city zoo, Szechenyi bath, and Heroes' square is nearby. I will most likely return during future visits to Budapest.

The location is outside the main tourist areas, and travelers will have to use public transport to get to the heart of the city. As expected, essentially no free amenities were provided in the room, apart from body wash/hand soap. Which, considering the price, was okay-ish. However, I surprised to learn that the front desk ran out of toothbrushes. Also, the reception area had a rather vibrant atmosphere. Staff members seemed to be young, and the overall feeling was as if I arrived to a backpacker's hostel. For price-sensitive travelers, this could be an excellent choice, with the noted shortcomings.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to Szechenyi Baths a great place to enjoy thermal pools and saunas.

In my reservation I requested a view of Heroes square and the hotel agree to grant my request right away. But when I arrived there was no mention of this request and my room was facing the rear of the hotel overlooking a parking lot. A women named Trebecka checked me in but I guess she didn't see the request. But Trebecka was generally very helpful in helping me find directions and other information during my stay. I would give her a high rating.

Ibis is a large international chain of no frills hotels with a "moderate" image. At least in my mind. This one was a good example of the chain. It was pretty large and professionally managed, with efficient staff at check-in. Everything was well programmed. Room was clean and well equipped. There was a large tour group checking in right after I arrived. It has a terrace for breakfast and a bar. I didn't use them, but I saw others relaxing on the terrace in the morning. It seemed totally fine. Heroes Square is one of the big tourist sights in Budapest. The hotel was right there. It was also easy to catch the Metro into town - just 100 meters to the entrance. I'd stay there again for value and location.

I had no complaints other than the "corporate" and "mass touristm" aspect of Ibis. You wouldn't stay here for the charm or atmosphere. It was "all business." Although I wouldn't describe it as a "business hotel."

This hotel delivers absolutely everything it promises. It's clean, has very fast wi-fi connection, comfortable beds (bit on the firmer side). Breakfast had a lot of variety and was very tasty. If you intend to use public transport, you can take a bus, which stops right next to the hotel and goes to the Nyugati train station, other buses and metro are very close too. Hotel staff is also very pleasant and accomodating, we had one small request of them, which we were absolutely ready to pay for, but they readily helped us and didn't want anything.

The drain in the shower stall in our bathroom was probably clogged, since it drained the water very slowly and one had to stop showering a few times, so that it didn't overflow, but I believe this is just a one-off situation, that wasn't that much of a problem, just a bit annoying.

Location was ideal, 20 min bus ride to city centre and few min walk from Hero's Square and the thermal spa. The breakfast was good and available until 10am weekdays and 11am weekends. Reception is a sociable area where you can work or enjoy something from the bar. Can't fault it for a few nights stay. Bus stops right outside too. AC was powerful and cooled everything down. A fridge in the room for water etc would have been ideal.

I arrived at 11pm and was woken at 9am the next morning by cleaners asking if I needed the room cleaned. I would have thought theyd be aware I had not long checked in and wouldn't need cleaning already. They knocked several times and tried to open the door before I had a chance to wake up and answer. Apart from this nothing to dislike.

- Good location across from Heroes Square and a minutes walk from the metro station. - Room was decent and the bed was very comfortable, cleaners laid out fresh towels daily. - Staff were lovely.

- Very thin walls, could hear the phone in the next room to us vibrating for hours. Think the alarm was going off while they were out. - No drinks facilities in the room. - only one TV channel available Chinese 🤣

I chose this hotel because it was close to the venue of the congress I was attending and also relatively cheap and comfortable. I got a spacious room with a balcony and everything I needed. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast is quite good (and it is good that it starts at 6.30).

At the third day of my stay a huge group of Polish tourists arrived. They had their breakfast together at the same time, making breakfast time almost intolerable for the other guests (e.g. one had to queue for the coffee for quite a long time, there was not enough plates, forks, seats etc.), especially those who had to go to the congress. And the hotel staff was also under considerable pressure.
