Old Town Quito Suites, Apartments & Boutique Hotel

What a welcome to Quito. Really, it could not be better than landing in Old Town Suites after along flight with a warm welcome by extremely friendly staff. The rooms are a successful mixture between antique furniture and modern equipment. And most of all: The suite was extraordinary clean. Thanks for filling up our fridge for a nice breakfast before exploring Quitos old town only 2-3 blocks away. The staff was very helpful with their advices for sightseeing, restaurants etc. What a wonderful place for our little family. Why does booking.com not allows 11 points? Thanks for everything! We’ll be back!

This was an interesting approach for breakfast. The breakfast was included but you had to make it in your own room. They supplied quite a bit of things for your meal. In the refrigerator they had yogurt, eggs, ham, juice, jam, and perhaps milk. They also provided a good size loaf of french bread and fresh fruit. It was very clean!

Although, I did like all the things that were provided for breakfast. I would much rather not make it myself. We are a family of 5 and the last thing I want to worry about is making breakfast for everyone. We specifically booked hotels that had an option to include breakfast for a reason. I wouldn't mind paying extra for the fruit so we have something to snack on throughout the day.

Loved, loved, loved this property! The pictures don't do justice to this beautiful apartment hotel. We had a perfect stay in one of the apartments - we had initially booked a deluxe apartment but were upgraded to a larger apartment (nice!). The apartment was VERY large and just stunning, with a bedroom, kitchen area and a living room. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved that they provided the apartment with a loaf of bread, eggs, butter, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit, coffee, teas, etc... which were replenished daily. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this has to be one of the most memorable properties - just so beautifully appointed with so many thoughtful and lovely details, super spacious and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and would have loved to stay longer. We also loved the location, about a 10-minute walk from the Grande Plaza, on a street that has cafes, pizzerias and brew pubs right next to the property (so you can just grab something to eat right next door after a long day of sightseeing) - but still quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved Old Town Quito Suites. The inner atrium was so peaceful, and I felt very safe staying here. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. We also scheduled a food tour through them, which ended up being a highlight of our trip. Getting new fresh bread, drinking water, and fruits in our room every day was a really nice touch. The rooms and atrium were also all very beautiful. We stayed here prior to our group tour starting, and moved to Hotel Mercure at the start of the tour. I preferred Old Town Quito Suites by far over Hotel Mercure.

Beautifully restored quiet property. Very generously stocked 2 bedroom apartment - blankets, towels, water, breakfast (delicious bread, butter, beverages, ham, cheese, milk) daily. Fast laundry service. Taxi stand close by. 10 minute walk downhill to colonial city centre. Safe area. Staff were informative, responsive, helpful and genuinely caring. They helped arrange our daily tours. I was ill for a couple of days. They were attentive, and even went out to get me chicken soup and bananas. Our stay went far beyond our expectations in every way. So glad we chose this. The staff elevated what would have already been a great stay. Highly recommend.

Liked everything, no complaints!

Old Town Quito Suites is tastefully decorated with a mix of vintage and rustic designs. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very helpful. They did an excellent job with accommodating our food allergies for breakfast and were always a pleasure to interact with. It was an excellent spot to be for our first time ever in Ecuador and we have only positive things to say. We loved that our teenagers could have their own room and even their own beds within their room. We would highly recommend this property to other travelers, including families.

Possibly one of the greatest stays I have ever had while traveling, and I've been all over Europe and Asia staying in 4/5 star as well as houseboats in Amsterdam. Old Town Quito Suites is very central to all of the Old Town sites worth seeing. Public transportation is ample and the Uber/taxi options widely available. Dirk (owner), Jhon, Joz and Edison were on top of every single aspect of our stay (from airport pick-up/drop-off) and nothing was too odd to ask for or request denied. The housekeeping staff was excellent and welcoming and the room was immaculate every time we returned from being out. The breakfast offerings every morning were ample for us and local restaurants abundant, as well as UberEats being available. (Get a pizza across the street at Pizzeria Boschetti and tell Martin that Jonanthan sent you, you will not be disappointed.) I have already booked for next fall as we have fallen deeply in love with Quito and Old Town Quito Suites.

Absolutely nothing

The hotel is in a historic building, and the suite is very nice and spacious. Complementary food and coffee were sufficient for having a good breakfast in the suite. The hotel is located in the historic center and is close to many sightseeing attractions. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The weather was unusually cold during our stay, and the rooms were rather cold as well (as far as I understand, the suite does not have a heating system). There were extra blankets in the rooms, though. Also, the beds and pillows were not to our taste.

Everything - the place was huge and really clean. Bathroom was super modern with good toiletries. Really appreciated the fresh bread and water provided (along with lots of other bits like cheese, ham, eggs etc.) Apartments are just across the road from Sushi and Drinks which had the best sushi of our whole 6 month trip - highly recommended. I believe the apartments are manned 24/7 by reception so it feels really safe and staff are super friendly.

One of the nicest spots we’ve stayed. From the beautiful facilities to the incredibly helpful staff, everything was absolutely perfect! And ideal for families with kids. We were only there for 2 nights and I want to go back just to stay here longer. They booked us a car from the airport (seamless). And they even stocked our kitchen with gf and peanut-free foods to have for our late arrival. Truly next level service!
