Hotel Bolivariana Plaza

This Hotel really met all my needs for a great price. I wish I would have discovered it sooner as I was previously staying in a hotel in poblado paying almost double. Now, this hotel isn't super luxurious or anything but the room is very comfortable. AC works great, keeps the room nice and cold throughout the night, TV has plenty of channels, shower has plenty of hot water, and theres a safe to store valuables. The location is perfect because it's far enough away from 70th street so you dont hear any noise but at the same time it's only 4 blocks away so you can easily walk there. I also really enjoyed the breakfast they cook it up for you on the spot from kitchen to table. I definitely plan to come back!

Veronica @ they front desk was a dream! She is AMAZING and very helpful. I was able to check-in early and get situated comfortably, rather quickly after leaving an awful situation at another "hotel". The shower kicked out hot water, which after climbing the rock @ Piedra del Peñol, was much appreciated. The cleaning staff was extraordinarily thorough and exemple. The price for my three nights was more than reasonable, especially for the location, adding three mornings of breakfast and the short notice for switching hotels. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful, especially from late nights getting to know the area. If you state "2 guests" on the reservation there's no problems with overnight guests, as they just copy their identification. Just a final note about the customer service at Hotel Bolivariana Plaza, the day is checked out, I wasnt able to immediately go to my new lodgings. It was a few years hours between the two and Veronica happily stored the baggage in a secure room with a smile. Obviously most, to all places do this, but it was especially relieving.

The phone didn't work, and neither did two of lights. The floor noise was loud on the last evening.

The ladies in the restaurant went out of their way to make things a more memorable experience

Told staff the refrigerator didn't work within 15 minutes of being in my room. They told me it's attached to power run by door key. Unfortunately not the case, no fridge all 6 nights. Besides, why have a mini fridge in the room if it only runs while you're in the room and then turns off while out all day? Makes zero sense, can't keep anything cold...in a refrigerator, it's sole purpose. I understand rest of room being linked to key card, but if you're that adamant about conserving energy, remove the refrigerator from the room. 3rd or 4th stay here and didn't have this issue in other stays with the other rooms 🙄

The location is good and peaceful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Compared to other Colombian hotels this was better than average. Hot water from shower.

The Junior Suite had a squeaking bed and not very firm at all. The room was small to be called even a junior suite, it was smaller than any average hotel room in the US or Europe. The prices in the restaurant menu outside of lunch time is astronomical compared to Colombian prices. The prices were in dollars with meals 25-30 dollars and soft drinks 4-5 dollars, which is crazy overpriced compared to any local restaurant.

The service at this hotel is outstanding. We don't get treated like this in the United States. There were some errors with my arrival, and they handled it like pros. The showers are hot, the coffee is delicious and the bed made me realize I need a new one at home. It's in a nice location, close to dining and entertainment. I booked another stay for my return to Medellin if that tells you anything

I wish I could find something I didn't like about this place. Maybe the birds in the morning were too loud?

The staff was so friendly here! The communication was great! House keeping was great! Lobby staff was great! The kitchen staff was great! Even coming in at the early hrs of the morning...It was safe! Lobby staff has door locked that made me very happy with security as well. Overall...The hotel is amazing and I definitely recommend anybody that would like to stay there. I had absolutely no problems.

Nothing. Well the bathrooms was small but I didn't complain because the stay was excellent

Staff are really friendly, they mostly don't speak in English but they do their best to help you. The location is in a safe neighborhood, and there is no noise if you keep the window close. The bed is really clean and comfortable

The pillow wasn't the best!! breakfast! it would be great if they added more options to their menu

The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating! The hotel and rooms are incredibly clean. Also, location is in a very nice, quiet part of Laureles but only blocks away from the fun stuff! Would definitely recommend to any one looking to enjoy a beautiful part of Medellin.

Nice small hotel in a good location. Friendly staff and a very nice hang out/spa area on the top floor. We would recommend booking the "Junior Suite" - we booked a normal rum but could upgrade on the spot. Luggage storage was also possible after checkout.

Everything clean, organized, great location, great breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. And most important thing for me, the employees are so welcoming and helpful. I recommend this as the best place to stay in Laureles Medellin
