Hotel Habitel Select

Great location, attentive staff, clean and spacious room.

Property was fine. Getting the shuttle to the airport was a little confusing. We got downstairs at 10:15 for the 10:30 Shuttle. The staff person at the door told us that the white van waiting in front was not the airport shuttle and that it had not yet arrived. We waited in the lobby by the door and when I looked out again she told me we had missed it and that it had gone to the other Habitel location. We had to run to the other property and about to the driver to wait for us. After we boarded, the airport shuttle proceeded BACK to the first location (where we could have waited all along)! It would be better to announce the arrival of the shuttle in the lobby every time it is ready to leave.

Large room, very comfortable bed. The on-site restaurant was excellent, with service to match - we enjoyed a very good dinner on our layover. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Breakfast starts at 6:00 and also excellent - great for an early morning flight. Hotel is a quick two minute drive in the free shuttle, which was very easy to find (instructions provided at booking). Returning to the airport, the shuttle leaves on the hour and half past, 24 hours a day. Very convenient for a layover at El Dorado airport. Met all of our expectations.

The airplane noise was loud. I could tell that there was some soundproofing on the windows as the sound was muted, but it was still very loud. However, this is unavoidable for an airport hotel and was expected when we booked. The planes seem to stop around midnight for a few hours.

My honest opinion about the hotel. Excellent internet, I have never received such courteous and pleasant service in any hotel. A large and clean pool, quiet and calm in all parts of the hotel, clean and blue sea 10 meters away. All types of sports you want, football, volleyball, chess, aerobic exercise in the pool, 9 risbi, diving equipment and all for free! Good food, fair prices, strong water flow in the shower, TV with all channels, I recommend 100 percent that you are going to enjoy every moment. To improve, buy new ping pong sticks😅. Last thing - the guy name ADAL made my vacation. Every time I wanted to play any kind of sport he was so happy to play with me. But he needs to improve his chess skills 😉 Thank you guys for a beautiful vacation

Breakfast is awesome!!!

It seems like there are different treatment depending of the guests of the hotel despite of the order of arrival to front desk. Pilots and crew seem to have a priority. Prices at the restaurant do not include 8% tax in the final price which is a lack of information for you as guest, make better decisions. Bedroom has a lack of good and comfortable lighting options: you have to turn the toilet lights on from the outside (entrance to the bedroom), you don't have the option of turning the lights off from bed so you have to stand up to do so. Poor facilities in the toilet: no hairdryer.

Shuttle bus service is a highlight. I did check out early and I was nicely surprised with a packed breakfast :) before 6am I think. My first encounter with a "granadilla" after many years overseas. It was a very nice touch. Room was clean and very comfortable. This is the 2nd time I have been at your hotel overnight . Now my brother has also stayed overnight. I'll likely be there again soon. Almost all excellent. However I got sick after having lunch at your restaurant :(. I was offered DR service but they took too long that after 3h wait I decided to cancel it.

The property was modern, clean and very good value. Very comfortable, big beds. The staff was polite. We actually stayed at Habitel Prime on this visit due to Select being overbooked I think. Both properties look amazing.

The only hiccup while staying at Prime was at the restaurant when we dined there late at night. Our food was a little late for my taste and when we got our drinks well after we received our food. Could have been due to the fact that the restaurant was soon closing. Other than that, everything was great.

Excellent restaurant. Made possibly the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Staff were extremely professional. A great location for air travellers. The airport shuttle very prompt and the greeters at the airport made this a very easy transition to / from the airport to the hotel. Wish more Canadian hotels had this efficiency.

We forgot our I pad in the room and did not discover this error until on board our flight back to Mexico. We are finding it extremely difficult to contact the front desk of the hotel with our issue. A better direct phone / contact would be appreciated vis a vis automated call transfers wasting our long distance calling from Mexico made to no avail.

I've stayed at this hotel 4 times and use it as an overnight base for when I land in Colombia and have onward travel as immigration and bag collecting can sometimes be very long and un-predictable so I usually book onward travel for the next day. It's really convinient and an excellent choice for this purpose. The rooms are quiet and have particularly comfortable beds. The breakfast is really nice and has variety. They provide a free transfer from the airport is very easy and convinient. They provide everything you might need. Also they allow you to store bags between visits, which is a useful service which I've used previously. The WiFi is good here and I've used it for work purposes.

The only thing is that check is ALWAYS takes much longer than you would expect. I think they just need to find a more efficient way to check people in. I've stayed in hotels all over Colombia and this isn't the norm. Check in always feels a bit painful at this hotel, which is annoying as it's usually after you've just had a long flight and you're desperate to take a shower and go to sleep. Overall this is a minor gripe, but as a frequent guest, I wish they would sort this out.

Near the airport, comfortable beds and great breakfast. Very good choice for a stop over. Shuttle service to the airport went smoothly.

Restaurant's value for money. Shuttle from the airport to the hotel was pretty chaotically organized. We had just missed a shuttle, hence were the first ones to arrive for the next one and still almost didn't get seats despite a 45 min wait. However, the staff squeezed us in somehow in the end. Communication only in Spanish possible.

Very close to El Dorado airport, they offer a free shuttle 24/7 from the airport to the hotel and back, with pickups every 30 minutes. The shuttle will pick you up at Door 5 (2nd floor) with a previous arrangement. Additionally, they kindly pack a traveler's breakfast for you when you leave early in the morning at no additional cost.

Check in process took some time due to amount of people arriving and leaving at time. When you coming tired it's dissapoiting wait for so long!
