Hotel Estelar La Fontana

The building was truly an architectural marvel, with multiple plazas to walk through, several large outdoor courtyards, and a seamless blend into modernity while still maintaining a “historical” feel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was complete and delicious.

The elevator from the main lobby to the rooms was tiny and could barely fit my wife and I and our luggage at the same time.

The best. Waitress and waiters were excellent. They did not use the word no.

Requested repair for our TV with gentelman at front desk, and did not get it done, had to ask a second time

We stayed for 9 nights. The experience was truly wonderful. A lovely hotel with attentive and professional staff. A great location and with good security. Felt very safe in this hotel. The room was a nice size with wonderful mahogany, I think, solid wooden fixtures. A walk in shower but I would have preferred a shower to include a handset and a flexible hose. The room can get cold at night as no heating but I did see a member of staff transporting some portable electric radiators. We especially looked forward to the breakfast in the restaurant with the lovely staff many of whom worked in the same venue which serves as an Italian restaurant from around midday, I think. There is also a gym, sauna, massage and hairdresser on site. The staff in the hotel all wear smart uniforms and this adds to the feel that we were in a special hotel. When we approached the staff we found that nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The restaurant could be serving international food rather than just Italian.

The room was really big and the bed huge and comfortable. The hotel is very nice and we had food at the sushi bar. Both the price and quality for the room and food were very good for the price we paid. Would stay again, and also the taxi service offered by the hotel came in handy when it was raining and it was impossible to get a taxi or uber on the street.

The bathroom was a bit old and the shower door did not really close. Also the electricity went off a couple of times but fortunately only for like 3 minute intervals, so it was not too bothersome. Other than that great experience.

The entire complex had the feel of an Italian piazza with a Cafe, Italian Restaurant, health & beauty boutique, along with a bar and casual eating area adjacent to reception. The rooms themselves were very spacious and well equipped whilst the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The included breakfast was also a combination of local and continental offerings and helped start off the day perfectly. Considering the price per night, my stay at the Hotel Estelar La Fontana was one of the most pleasurable hotel stays I have experienced in my travels.

There was nothing that I did not like.

The location is excellent. The place looks great, excellent lobby space, clean rooms. We requested a change of room since the one assigned looked dated and some of the furniture was in bad shape. We were assigned to another area that was much better. The breakfast buffet was excellent!! The staff was very friendly. Transportation to and from the hotel was excellent and the drivers were very friendly and willing to please.

Our room didn't have a hair blower. We requested one and it took them two days to provide it. One of our friends had requested laundry service and it wasn't delivered as promised. Little details that could have been avoided. We all thought it had to do with understaffing due to the COVID pandemic.

Good location. Very nice setting. The snall café is very nice and with good simple food. We rather eat breakfast there and pay than at the buffet which was included.

Breakfast buffet bad. Room was old not well kept. Needs a renewal of rooms. The reception staff not very friendly. I think we didn't get the type and quality of room we paid for.

The rooms were spacious (we were in one with a king bed, my mother in law stayed at one with a queen and it was significantly smaller, but still comfortable for 1 person). Great breakfast. Amazing Spa!! (great for couples or solo travelers). If you’re looking for a hotel near clubs/parties, then you should stay in a different area (like Zona T or Parque 93) but if you want something more relaxing then this is a great choice!!

The strict dress code for the restaurant during breakfast. One day it got warmer and my husb wore shorts and they didn’t let him in the restaurant, he had to go back to the room and change. I was allowed in wearing sweatpants.

I like the layout, I always felt like I was arriving home. The staff was extremely professional and we felt very welcomed.

while the breakfast had many delicious options, dinner was and the food from room service fell extremely short. I really didn’t like the food and the rest of the time I decided to eat out. The food could use some improvement.

The staff, the facilities, the location, the hotel's architecture; all were great! I particularly want to mention Camilo at the bar, and Johanna at the front desk. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience was top notch. I cannot express how great the entire staff was. There was never a request I had that could not be met. As far as the facilities are concerned, the hotel is simply beautiful. It has a very warm ambiance and classic feel. The building looks like it came out of medieval Italy or Spain and adds to the special character of the place. Lastly, if you are like me and like explore your surroundings, the immediate area is very walkable and relatively safe. There is a large mall (Unicentro) located diagonally and many stores, bars, and restaurants are all within a few minutes walk. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The bed in our 2 bedroom master suite had a wood frame in the main bedroom and it made a lot of noise with the slightest of movements. I could also hear footsteps from above and at times, voices from the adjacent rooms; however, this is to be expected from a property of this age. The noise was not enough to deter me from going back. I would like to see better bed frames though.
