SpringHill Suites by Marriott Old Montreal

The location was fabulous. The breakfast was just okay. We ended up going out for crepes and pastries which was close by. The room was comfortable but could use an update. Everything was in walking distance which was great. Cirque du soleil was very close so we purchased tickets and went in afternoon. Would stay here again.

There were only 2 elevators and one broke down on Friday so that slowed things down when trying to leave hotel. We took the stairs a few times to avoid the wait.

Parking is too tight especially when there are cars parked in the driveway going up/down the parking area.

Location is fantastic! Close to Metro, bus, restaurants, old port. Easy to get around anywhere in the city -- from Atwater Market to Jean-Talon market conveniently on the Metro line close to the hotel. Notre Dame is right around the corner as well as fast food, nice restaurants and convenience stores.

Breakfast was good, but not fantastic. I know that covid has changed the way food is shared in these locations, but I had higher hopes for breakfast, especially in a city like Montreal. Instead breakfast was just good, solid food, nothing creative or overly special. (breakfast was a B+ experience). Also room was a bit small for a "king suite" and with no real view to speak of.

Perfect location, 3 minutes to Notre Dame, 5 minutes to the Archeology Museum and Old Port is just around the corner. You can literally park your car in the garage and explore the city by foot. We actually did it. We walked as far as Kondiaronk Belvedere by foot from the hotel, making many stops along the way: Chinatown, Berlin Wall, Underground City, Barbie Expo, McGill, Schwartz’s Deli, the famous bagel…… Continental breakfast is decent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is neat with good sizing and setting. I really like the washbasin to be in a separate space from the toilet and bathtub. I really like the design to have the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser bottles fixated on the tub wall too. It declutters the shower caddy area. Overall very good value. I’m glad I made the right choice.

Parking space is a little bit tight but understand it’s in downtown. Attached parking garage is already a plus.

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and I appreciate that breakfast cost is included in the base room price.

The on-site parking garage is extremely tight and it is a self-park facility. We had a hard time navigating our minivan on the tight ramps and narrow parking spots, which are adjacent to concrete columns. The swimming pool was L-shaped and quite small; too small for laps.

Location of the hotel is excellent. It's tucked into a quiet alley, so you have no "view" but in the heart of Vieux Montreal. Many restaurants very close by and lots of shops and private art galleries to browse through. Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee good. The suite had two beds, a sofa bed (if needed) with microwave oven and a small frig. Coffee maker was also in the kitchenette. There was only the 2 of us, so plenty of room.

Only downside of the kitchenette was there wasn't any dishes or cutlery available so if you had a family to feed it could be a problem.

Location, staff, cleanliness.

Breakfast was not particularly good. Seemed to be out of items: Pancakes, but no syrup, few choices, etc. I picked this hotel because it had a spa. I left my phone number but no one called me back. I went to the spa, but the doors were all locked. There was a sign- up sheet for spa services, but again, no one contacted me. It was pretty disappointing considering that was the reason that I choose this location at this price point.

great location. There are plenty of space in the room. Bed are comfortable. Room's arrangement make you feel in a studio.

The room size was great, and the location of the hotel is extremely central to everything. The underground parking was also very convenient. The general layout of the hotel was also very nice, and their covid protocols were good.

I was not impressed with some of the room amenities. The TV was quite small, and the picture was very dark and unable to be adjusted. Our room view was directly across from and very close to an office building, so there wasn't privacy with the curtains open. It was also right beside the elevators, so it was quite noisy. The breakfast was also not very good. There was a 30 minute long line to be served due to the covid protocols which is understandable, but there also wasn't enough seating even if we did want to sit and have it.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a full array of choices. Location was perfect for walking around Old Montreal.

Missed some of the bathroom amenities, including hand lotion. Additional Keurig cups for coffee AND tea. Oversized comforter/blanket and a welcome bottle of water would have been appreciated. Wasn't aware of the additional fees and taxes placed on hotel parking.
