Hotel Faubourg Montreal Centre-Ville Downtown

People at the reception was very kind and helpful, even though the last day it was very crowded. The same with people at breakfast, they tried their best to attend all of our needs. The room was quite spacious, nonetheless it was too dark and that made everything feel a bit smaller and not too clean.

According to our experience at the Hotel, the bathroom could have been cleaner. You can notice that they clean everything after one's check out, but specifically the bath floor had fungus marks. On the other hand, breakfast was very crowded that you can hardly find a sit. So I'll suggest to go breakfast early in the morning to have a comfortable experience. Or the Hotel should invest in get a bigger place for that.

The hotel was at where we would like to stay, really close to the old port, and some of its attractions, so we could go around by walking, which was great. The hotel was comfortable and we had a upgrade getting a bigger room (which we really appreciated as we were in 6 people for this stay) with two separate rooms plus the living area, I just think the walls could be painted a lighter color I just found it a bit dark. The attendants we had contact with during checking in and out were nice and friendly. Another good point to the hotel is that they offer breakfast included in the stay with good options.

It has nothing to do with the hotel but I think it`s sad (although no one has bothered us) that there were a considerable amount of people just wandering around in the area, some homeless I would guess, some doing drugs. Unfortunately a situation more commom everywhere nowadays.

Service was too good. Friendly staff. Three best things: 1. Staff was super polite and friendly 2. Brilliant breakfast menu 3. They kept the bags after my checkout so safely with bagtags and a washroom to freshen up.

The carpets and sofa sets of the room and living room. ( Room#816) The sofa sets are way old and so were the carpets. It made the room look old and dingy and made it look a bit dirty. And to make it aesthetic, you can fix the ceiling of the balcony. Room was very comfortable with all amenities but if you can fix the carpet and sofa it will be perfect.

The front desk staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping staff was good, but seemed unorganized. The first full day they did not clean the room so we got extra towels from front desk thinking there was no regular housekeeping. Next day we were at breakfast when they came into the room and finished it in the 10-15 mins we were gone. I can say they are honest since we had phone and laptop and other stuff lying around. Rooms were a decent size. The breakfast was pretty good with hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, fruit, bagels and other items. Elevators worked well and the wait was minimal. Location was great for Chinatown, Old Montreal and we walked around and felt pretty safe even after dark.

The room had a kitchenette, but that comprised of a full size refrigerator, microwave, sink and empty cabinets and drawers. Plates and silverware were available on demand. It would have been helpful if there were a few plates and glasses and silverware in each room (paper cups were provided). Also, the room showed its age. There was a hook on the back of the bathroom door, but was not there any more, so not much space to hang wet towels. The room was not very bright, even with all the lights on.

Great location, in the heart of downtown. Breakfast had all the basic options - bread/bagels, butter, jam, peanut butter, eggs/omlet, hash browns, waffle & syrup, fruits, oatmeal, corn flakes, yogurt, coffee, tea, chocolate milk, juice. The studio with queen bed was spacious, had 2 TVs, sofa, balcony, microwave, fridge , coffee maker. Kitchenette had lots of storage cabinets but no pans/ pots. Any cutlery was available on request. Toiletries- shampoo, conditioner, body wash ,soap were provided. Hair dryer was available

Vegetarian breakfast.option was just hash browns. The breakfast area was way too small for the hotel capacity of around 400+ rooms being fully booked. Guests blowing their noses at the breakfast table was an appetite killer. Wait time during checkout was long and Barbara at the counter wasn't a pleasant person. Lighting in the bedroom should be brighter

Awesome location. Great people, amazing room size and amenities. Large kitchenette. It was a comfortable experience and I really liked the design of the hotel. I was on the 7th floor and had a balcony too. I was a beautiful view of the metropolitan part of the city and in walking distance to many places, like Chinatown and even Old Montreal was not too far by car. It was awesome 👌🏾

Complimentary breakfast was not the best. It was so American pre-packaged. I went to a nice place that gave me the Montréal breakfast experience I looked forward too, but the complimentary Keurig coffee with the room was not bad at all.

Hotel was right near many attraction of downtown Montreal. Hotel we're clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast served in the morning was a great change to traditional breakfast served at other hotels.

Booking . Com offered a 15$ room upgrade. If its offered to you, take the upgrade directly from the email of the hotel and dont take it from booking. Booking . Com will rip you off by taking the current daily price of the room and adding 15$ to the room instead of adding 15$ to the original price of the room that you had previously. Calling the support of booking will do no good. I had to call the hotel directly to get this fixed. Hotel was great. Booking really disappointed me

Central.. walking distance from all that you need to see. One of the few hotels with room balconies. Exceptional staff.. especially Danny at reception and his helper (forget his name). Good for the price. Exceptionally clean room. Exceptionally warm. I forget the nomenclature for the type of room stayed in. It had a separate lounge area which I found useful for working in. TAKE NOTE: the Airport Bus (747) stops right outside. They run 24/7. Every six minutes during the day, every 30 mins throughout the night. I had to get an early flight and this was sorted by the exceptional bus service (saved $100 on having to use taxis). The busses only accept coins ($11 each way).. not card payment. Card payment machine at airport.. plus, there is a free standing machine for card payment directly outside the hotel, although it is wacko.. it states that it is for parking!. You enter 747 as the parking space number and it will issue a ticket with 747 on it (s”the ticket is emblazoned with ‘parking space’ information). Had Danny not explained how this worked, I would have been utterly flummoxed. Nonetheless, I showed my ‘parking’ bus ticket to the bus driver and he let me on.

There was a mark on the floor of room 820. Wasn’t really a problem.. though my fear was that I would be charged for room damage (although from what it seems, this hasn’t happened). If you do notice this type of thing, goes without saying you should photograph it at the start of your stay and state that it wasn’t you that damaged the room.

The location, friendly staff, included breakfast, room size, kitchenette and price are all a huge part of what my daughter and I really liked about our stay here. It could have been a little bit cleaner (more vacuuming needed in our room) but overall, it wasn’t bad. I would definitely stay here again (and likely will) and would recommend it to others who are looking for an affordable yet comfortable place to stay! The view out of our window looked into a little courtyard which was nice.

It could have been vacuumed a little more carefully and the counter wiped down a little better but it wasn’t too bad in either respect.

Nice layout for the room, lots of space for our luggages, to sit, etc. The beds were really comfortable. Location is perfect, you're only a few minutes walk from Chinatown, Old Montreal, Downtown, a Metro station, etc.

My mother mentioned she missed a nice comfy chair for reading. The bathtub was chipped in the bottom. There was apparently no cleaning/changing of towels, but I don't recall being told about it. Usual instructions about towels were posted in the bathroom and we had a sign to hook outside if we DIDNT want room service. That's fairly minor though and easily fixed with a phone call to reception.
