The inn is right next to the Bay of Fundy. You can sit in the front yard and watch the Tidal Bore. The innkeeper is very knowledgeable to the area and offers suggestions of things to do and places to see. It was like having a history and cultural lesson of Canada to listen to him. Two bald eagles next in a large chestnut tree in the front yard. It was amazing to see abs listen to them.

The rooms are upstairs and not air conditioned. It was unusually warm and humid during our stay so it was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping.

Maitland was a hidden gem. Slightly away from the busy Truro, within a short distance from Burntcoat, with its own history of shipbuilding, up close to the tidal bore and magnificent viewing of the tide extremes, a up close view of eagles and not too far from Halifax.

The breakfast was delicious at Cresthaven but there is only one limited place to eat out close by. Otherwise you have to go to Truro. But knowing that we just planned ahead to enjoy this special place.

Stunning location on a bluff at the mouth of the Shubencadie River on Cobequid Bay. The bed and breakfast is small with just three rooms located. Plan to spend some time hanging out by the wood fire in the very comfortable common room or outside on the porch overlooking the bay. A pair of eagles hangs out in trees on the property and we saw lots of other birds and wildlife including a fox on the beach below. Our host Warren was very helpful with tips on things to see plus he cooks a delicious gourmet breakfast in the morning. Great coffee and the best wifi of anywhere on our 10 day trip.

We liked everything about this place and hope to return someday.

Quaint small town with beautiful home on water. Saw bald eagle as we arrived. Warren the host was wonderful and engaging when asked questions. Beautiful porch with Adirondack chairs, spent time watching shore birds thru binoculars. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, wonderful value.

Local food wasn't great, ate at Mudslide, a charming place walking distance away.

Fantastic location overlooking the Bay of Plenty. our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished with good beds and linen. Bathroom was large and equipped with a good bath and shower. Warren was exceptionally helpful and cooked up a great breakfast in the morning. The resident bald eagle at the front of the house was a special surprise as it flew off a n the evening and just added a little magic to this great guesthouse.

Great views, comfortable room, central location and Warren was an excellent host. He gave us lots of information about the area as well as the history of Maitland. Breakfasts were delicious!

We liked everything about the property. There is only one place to eat dinner in Maitland so it is important not to arrive too late. Casual dining with very friendly staff.

The location is quite unique, just few feets from the water. One can watch the tide bore from the room window(!). There is no similar setting anywhere like that. Hosts are wonderful - waited for us though we arrive very later. The breakfast was excellent.

Cresthaven by the Sea is a pretty high-bank oceanfront property, overlooking the tidal flats. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made for each guest. A walk to the tiny village gives guests access to a general store and a cafe. Fun place to spend a night.

Fabulous location right where the Bay of Fundy meets the Shubenacadie River. Great view of tides from porch or room. Delicious breakfast, helpful and personable owners, comfortable bed, big bathroom.

Not much in the way of anything but pub food in the immediate vicinity, but we knew that when we booked.
