That you could hear everything in the hallway and unfortunately, one night a staff member was talking loudly with other clients pass 10h30 for more than 10 minutes and another night, clients who sounded drunk woke us up at 2 in the morning using the vendor machine... had to tell them...the wall and door, really not soundproofed..recommend not to be in front of the pool... surprising for a 4 stars hotel not soundproof Another small detail there is no hook for coats or towels or bathing suits to dry.. Would be helpful to put.

The location was great, the pool was lovely, the bed was very big & comfortable, the bathrobes & slippers were a nice touch. The hotel was beautiful. The staff were nice, especially the night porter he was funny.

Because the toilets were so close to the lobby there was a smell as you walk in the lobby/past the reception, but it wasn’t a big deal. The room we stayed in had a big pillar blocking the TV. I stayed on the right side & couldn’t see the TV from where I was, I had to roll over to the far left side of the bed. But again, this wasn’t a big deal because we weren’t there to watch TV. For someone who would watch more TV than us, this would be a problem.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel and room were very clean. The room was nice and the beds comfortable. Very good breakfast with many things to choose from. Very good location, just 10 minutes walking from historic centre. A great choice if you are looking for a good hotel near the historic centre.

The only negative I can find is the sound proofing, a little bit to be fair though. We could hear the people of the room next to us. Not very loud and clear, but we could hear some voices. But not it wasn't much loud and it was not disturbing, at least not for us.

I loved how central it was to everything! We were able to walk to each destination on our plan with ease. The best thing was how friendly and helpful the staff were! They add to the relaxing environment at this hotel! The pool was a bonus, it added something to do in the morning before heading out for the day. We had breakfast on our last day and regretted not getting it everyday, the selection was great!

The only thing that was slightly annoying was the road works happening right in front of the hotel at the time of our stay. I understand this is something out of their control though!

One of the best stays I’ve had, lovely room with a large comfy bed and terrace, and just a short walk into the town, all at a very reasonable price. The staff, however, were what made the stay so memorable. One staff member in particular, Jerry, was the most welcoming and helpful concierge I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He is full of local knowledge, not just of places to visit on our trip, but even where to park for free and where the cheapest petrol stations are. I would not look elsewhere on our next visit to Bruges, and hope to be welcomed by Jerry on our next stay!

Excellent room size (deluxe double), hugeand comfortable bed. Drcondary glazing meant the room was peaceful. Air-con worked well, keeping a good temperature for a comfortable night's sleep. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice bar area. Easy walking access into the centre. A nice extra having the pool - although everyone wanted to use it at the same time so it was a bit crowded (and some people just in the pool having a chat, taking up space making it difficult for others to actually swim. Was more like a communal bath than a swimming pool!)

We booked a deluxe room, and I wouldn't say the bathroom was in anyway deluxe. A bath that was so small it was no use to anyone, and then just made for an awkward shower over it, with the limited space crowded further by the taps and soap dispenser. There was enough space to have a good walk in shower which would have been much better. The shower screen was useless and it seemed impossible not to flood the bathroom when showering not matter how careful we were. The hairdryer over-heated and stopped working after 30 seconds, i had to keep waiting for it to cool down and start again.

Rooms were really super clean and modern, airco was good, nice balcony, comfortable bed and there was a lot of variety for the breakfast (one of the largest variety I've seen so far in a hotel). Swimming pool was a nice addition. Location is good for both the city center and train station.

Room was very small for the large bed and only matched the room in decoration, not in size. The decorative walls were very sharp at the corners, and with the large bed we often scratched ourselves when heading to the bathroom. Bathroom was very modern, but shower did not close properly and there was no door separating the bathroom/toilet from the bedroom (30cm away from toilet, I also do not think there is room for a door) - this was also annoying since there is a direct line of sigh from the toilet to the balcony on the other side (so you have to completely close the drapes when in the bathroom). Room facilities mentioned a private bath, but we only had a shower - so I strongly recommend putting it in the note when ordering a room.

We arrived just before 11pm and the reception staff were so full of energy and nice. We were directed to our room then came down for a drink at the bar for a well earned beer. The bar was open until 1am so no rush to leave. There was a chess set in the reception area so we had a couple of games which was a nice touch. Lots of information on the screens about Bruges and the weather etc. Lots of leaflets on things to do too. There was a small fitness centre and pool so we made use of that. The pool was great after a busy day of walking. Our room was very spacious and had nice blackout curtains. We were given a complimentary bottle of red wine every day which was nice and chocolates on arrival. The hotel was full so it shows it must be popular. The location was close to the centre and a bus stop right outside. It’s also within walking distance to the train station (about 20 mins) All in all a great stay and we would recommend.

The light in the bathroom was a bit high but luckily my fiancé is tall.

I cannot remember a better hotel. This place is amazing. Very friendly and professional staff, Morgan checked us in and was so helpful. The foyer is an oasis of calm and very comfortable. We stayed in a family room and it was fantastic. So big, so clean, rituals products., tea and coffee making, mini bar if needed. Comfy beds. Slippers and nice robes! The BEST breakfast - 20 per adult and 10 per child and worth more than every cent. The pool was clean and refreshing after a day sightseeing. Towels are provided and showers with rituals products there too. The tap water is drinkable and very good. When I saw the photos of the road when booking I though it might be a bit noisy but the road is not busy at all, plus you do not hear any noise. It was so quiet. It is a not far from the centre like 5 minutes to the busier streets and 8 minutes to the square. Perfect as it is much quieter. If you walk to the station we recommend walking through the lovely park at the back of the hotel. We would go back to Bruges tomorrow just to stay at the Grand Hotel Normandy!
