The location of the hotel was excellent, as we pretty much walked out our door & down the block & we were in Market Square, which is where lots of shopping/restaurants & (when we were there, Christmas Markets) were! Our Superior Double room was in the historic part of the hotel, and was charming, spacious and well lit. There was a beautiful chandelier over the bed. The lobby/common areas of the hotel were beautiful & comfortable to gather in. Sadly, we didn't have a chance to check out the wellness area, but appreciated that it was there if we had more time! We did have a drink at the hotel bar, which had great drinks, but when I asked for a glass of water, they said they weren't allowed to give it to me!? weird.

Our room was in a weird location - you take the elevator up, but then there are still a few stairs to navigate with luggage & is definitely not handicapped accessible. Our bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, and the shower was very small - it would not have been possible to bend over to shave my legs!

Hotel very close to the main square. Breakfast was really nice. Everything fresh and tasty. The beds comfortable and every where was spotless. The parking while expensive was a bonus as very little parking near by. Staff friendly and helpful.

We were given a double instead of a twin. We returned to check in where they gave us another room. This room was already occupied when we went in. Back to reception where they sorted another twin room. The only downside this took almost an hour and a half and after a very long drive we were tired. The staff were very helpful during this time. Other guests were also having issues with their room cards.

We had a superior room, which was quite small, but situated at the back of the hotel, so was nice and quiet. The underground car park is very useful and saves a trek to the nearest public one. we have stayed at the hotel a few times before and in our opinion it is one of the best in central Bruges. the breakfast is very comprehensive and the quality is excellent.

Noting not to like really. you know it isn't a cheap hotel but you do get what you expect for the price. the reception staff are very efficient and knowledgeable about the city. The car park is possibly a little pricey per 24 hours, but it is very convenient. Just a little tight getting the car in and out of the lift if you have a large vehicle.

Bicycles can be parked in the underground parking garage. Great breakfast. Great location.

The underground parking garage has few electrical wall outlets. On the outlets is printed 'not for car charging'. We charged the bikes using the outlet and got into to trouble with hotel staff, claiming it is not allowed to charge the bike, because it is written on the outlet (which is not the case). For some reason the rule doesn't apply to the manager of the hotel, because this person is charging a car using the disabled parking space just a few steps away from the elevator. Sauna wasn't hot, although I checked at the reception an hour before intended use.

The room was spacious. We changed room as we were above the lobby first where people smoked as it was outside the hotel doors. The room was clean overall although there was a small incident with a pillow case that wasn't. Reception staff excellent and helpful. Breakfast varied and excellent. Staff were helpful. The sauna was good but somewhere to hang your towels would have been useful. In the sport section it would have helped to have some fresh air. Towels available and the sauna was clean overall. There was a steam sauna too but we did not use it. The location is right in the centre and there are many restaurants nearby.

The espresso and capuccino were awful when having breakfast. The sauna was good but somewhere to hang your towels would have been useful. In the sport section it would have helped to have some fresh air.

Room was great. Plenty of closet space. Steam room, sauna, exercise area great. Boxed breakfast was fantastic as we had to leave by 6:30 am. Location awesome. Bar staff were great and ambience wonderful.

Made appointment for massage. Desk staff wrote it in a book. Went for appointment - no-one there. Had to go and find the masseuse!! She had not been told of my appointment. Disappointing. Also, my husband passed away so we had to leave a day early but no offer of a refund was made for the one night and when I asked I was told it was not his decision to make!!! Very disappointed with the response.

The hotel was in a great location. It's a beautiful hotel about four minutes walk from the Belfort Tower. Our room was superb, it was very clean, tidy and roomy. The staff were exceptional, they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. One of the receptionists recommended somewhere cheap with Belgian cuisine for us to eat, (which we were grateful for). We had included breakfast as part of our stay and we were so glad that we did. The range of food was excellent, there was everything from cereals, continental breakfasts and English breakfasts too. The staff were very attentive at breakfast time, even giving us bags to take away any pastries if we wanted to. If you choose to stay at here, make sure that you have a drink in the amazing bar. Overall, staying at the Grand Hotel Casselburgh made our stay in Bruges even better.

Nothing.

Beautiful, classically elegant hotel just a couple of minutes from Market Square and the fish market. The bar prices were eye-watering but still worth paying to sit in the gorgeous lounge rooms before an evening pre-dinner stroll. Great buffet breakfasts that kept us going for hours!

Our modern room was clean and quiet, with just enough character not to feel the poor relation to the 'posh' rooms in the original building. The bed was on the firm side and I didn't like the waterproof undersheet, which gave me a couple of hot nights before I rebelled and removed it on the third. Weirdly, no bath robes nor selection of teas in the room (two black tea bags only), which was disappointing. The chambermaid changed all our towels every day despite our adopting the modern rule of hanging them up to save washing.

Breakfast: absolutely superb, loads of choice all excellent Location, excellent, quiet street but next to the main squares, our room overlooking a canal Restaurant, lovely room, big and spacious, No evening meals offered but we were eating out anyway Staff on reception were extra friendly and helpful with all our queries. Bar staff were super, and the bar prices and service second to none Chocolates and a card for my daughter's birthday in the room were a nice touch.

Housekeeping: poor, no cleaning of the room, beds not made, towels suppled, no replenishment of toiletries, mini bar not replenished despite asking for this.

Stunningly decorated and with Christmas on top it was beautiful. Our room was in the modern section and this was fine, good size room, lovely bathroom, no complaints at all. Spotlessly clean.

Minor but could have become an issue if time was crucial. Receptionist booked a taxi and advised the driver would come in to the foyer and collect us. Not her fault but he didn’t, he took another family that were outside without checking the booking. We stood outside for 30 mins before getting another one that we hailed ourselves. Just be aware if you have a train to catch. Stand outside and watch.
