Hotel Maraboe

Great value for money on the edge of the old town. Really comfortable beds, big bathroom, and enough room for the three of us. Probably the best continental breakfast we've ever had - plenty of choice and delicious pastries! Good check-in with clear access information, WiFi, etc. Amanda was really helpful and accommodating. There is also space for storing luggage for a few hours once you've checked out, which was really nice.

In our room, the shower needs a new seal/door, as water ends up all over the floor and doesn't drain very well. Also, while there were tea and coffee making facilities, there were no stir sticks or sugar/sugar substitutes to make it with.

The location is amazing, minutes from the shopping and old town. Take advantage of secure parking (€20per night) it’s well worth it and is in a locked garage. The hotel is contemporary and well kept.. staff are amazing and helpful. Room is average size, but has coffee and tea making facilities. Large shower which is very nice. Bed is comfortable. We had a room at the back which was quiet but very hot, the weather was over 30 degrees..thank you for the fan which was waiting for us in the room. Breakfast was continental style and had everything you need. Loads of eateries around, definitely will return.

Nothing really

The breakfast is great - authentic and delicious with fresh rolls, meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, and specialty coffee. I have celiac disease and the hotel was able to accommodate for gluten-free at breakfast by supplying gluten-free rolls. It was lovely. The hotel is also in an excellent location - a short walk away from the city centre and everything you’d need. It is very well maintained with a gorgeous interior.

If the windows were left open at night it was a bit loud as our room faced a city street. Shower was also a little outdated.

Good location, nice breakfast. The rooms look new and are very clean, even the bathroom. I had also made a special request which they fulfilled perfectly.

We arrived before 2pm, which was not planned, so we just wanted to drop off our luggage, but there was nobody at the reception, we rang the bell multiple times, and nobody picked up the phone when we tried calling. Luckily a person from the cleaning staff saw us and opened the luggage room for us. But there is nothing else to complain about, it was a very nice stay.

Liked location, cleanliness, the room had all essentials. Staff were nice and friendly as well as accomodating. Thank you!

We requested a quiet room, but l got a room with the windows facing the road which was busy and the noise of the traffic was heard through the day and would wake us up early in the morning. We have also requested a twin room, but had the room which was more like a double- two single beds put together and we were unable to separate them due to furnishing in the room (side tables attached to the wall).

The hotel room was a large space with great bathtub and lots of hot water. The hotel has an elevator, great breakfast, and is charming. My triple room comfortably slept a 3rd person and was pet friendly. The location is perfect for walking the pedestrian area and next to the fantastic Saturday Market. I loved the 1920s charm of the hotel.

The hotel reception closed at 21:00 (9 PM) and they lock the door. You must check in before and remember the door code or you are locked out. It is good for safety but please arrange your arrival time in advance if you are going to be late.

A lovely hotel close to the historic centre (about 10 minute walk). Private parking undercover (20 Euro per night). Staff were friendly and informative. The beds were super comfy and everything was spotless. The breakfast was extra 15 euro pp, lovely bread rolls/continental breakfast. Perfect for people who prefer smaller hotels.

Out of control of hotel, but there were a few people late at night that were quite loud in the street, not a massive problem though.

The location was perfect for walking into the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and sufficiently spacious.

We came on a day that was extremely hot. One of our rooms had an electric fan provided, we should have asked for another. When driving to the hotel, follow your directions to the carpark carefully, due to one way systems if you miss the turning to Lane you will have to go a full circle to come back round again.

Very friendly reception by our hostess, good room, comfy bed. Really good breakfast. A pleasant hotel in a very convenient location in central Bruges. Parking was just behind the hotel in a covered garage for a very reasonable fee.

There is a good sized gym in the basement, sadly a few of the machines need a bit of maintenance. It feels churlish to make this comment as the staff worked so hard to make our stay comfortable, yet if all the machines worked, you can have a full workout which is needed given all the culinary delights of Bruges :)

Highly recommend this comfy, locally own and ran Hotel. As soon as we checked-in, it was a superb experience. When we come back to Bruges in the future, we will be staying again. The room was huge, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Amazing sized bathroom with two sinks.

The Wi-Fi network was unusable; however, we were not there to sit around and be online all day :) Once you walk to the main square right outside the Hotel, you will find very fast internet at all restaurants.
