Potters Toowoomba Hotel

Bed was ok except for the division between the two mattresses; The room was fine and it was beautiful and clean with the staff being exceptional each day tidying it for us. The only downfall was the narrow non draining Caesar stone sink in the bathroom which continually required wiping down/drying up the spill (unable to wash face in or the basics brushing teeth etc). This could be as simple as having each of the sinks removed and enlarging the square hole and cutting in a bevel to the inner edge of the beautiful Caesar stone and re-installing. The shower - the head or rose was too small and no need to have a hose connected - install an extra large fixed head with small angle adjustment straight down would be an improvement; water difficult to keep inside, sprays out of the containment area wetting the outside floor - this could be remedied by making the containment wall longer - change out the glass sheet for a 3/4 height wall with recess built in perhaps. I know this is all cost and things are built to budget but it would certainly bring the experience to very high for what is already a beautiful little complex.

Staff friendliness everywhere, cleaners, reception, restaurant and a willingness to help. Staff are always your biggest asset, even if your building is dilapidated, they by far, will place your business where it needs to be. The food was great for breakfast as were the chai's. We never experienced a dinner during our stay, perhaps next time. We were unable to mirror our iPhone to the TV to watch our programs eg Netflix, Apple - thought this may have been a simple thing.

I stayed two nights. Warm friendly welcome, excellent service and no complaints about the room at all. Very good location close to the Plaza and the town centre. The restaurant was excellent, apart from the wine. Very good breakfast.

Unfortunately, like many hotels, the sheets and doona are synthetic. In these cases, I usually have to take out the doona and sleep under the doona cover or take a cotton blanket with me. If a little static electricity or excessive heat doesn't bother you, then this is not a problem. I ordered a glass of NZ wine and got the house wine anyway. The other wine I ordered the next night was undrinkable. The per-glass charge for wine was standard for a reasonable-quality wine, so I think they could do much better.

The biggest thing for me in a hotel room is cleanliness and how comfy the bed is. Potters is up there with the best, the bed is incredibly comfortable. The TV included Netflix which I could log into with my own account, there were no complicated apps or configurations required to cast my own Netflix to the TV. Even though I was right next to reception the room was super quiet. The hotel is a very short walk to the shopping centre.

Not a big deal but the restaurant wasn't open on Monday nights. The only other thing that would have been nice would be a vending machine but again not a big deal.

The reception staff were both lovely when we arrive and check us in quick and easy. Restaurant was clean with a lovely atmosphere. Fair priced meals that tasted fantastic with even better staff Location was great and parking was a breeze Rooms were nice and tidy. Rooms are a tad small but functional. No unnecessary furniture so they don't feel cluttered

Water pressure was a bit poor in the bathroom but that's the only big criticism I have for the hotel. We stayed on the ground level which was a bit sheltered so not much natural light but we were there on a pretty miserable day. I would book a room with a city view next for sure but I had to have the ground floor I'd still take it

Staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and caring The room and bathroom were lovely and clean. The reception area and hallways were spacious and beautifully decorated. Although no microwave in room there was one in amenities area along with washing machine and dryer.

Bed was okay although not as comfy as I would hope for. Room was lovely and quiet until childcare started at around 7.30am next door.

Great location, friendly staff, superior finishings in the room, and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was outstanding. The location means that you are walking distance (10 minutes) to the major shopping centre and several quality restaurants. Overall, it was an enjoyable and relaxing overnight stay. This hotel will be my preferred place of stay for all future trips to Toowoomba.

Superior quality furnishings. Balcony for breakfast, quality teabags and Nespresso machine. The class of a girl with the convenience of a motel. Bonus points for a commercial washer dryer which you could use for free with free laundry powder. Easy to park and next to a major shopping centre.

Sad the restaurant wasn’t open for the nights I was there, although this was clear on booking.

Very clean and comfortable, centrally located just near Grand Plaza. Enjoyed our stay. Lady on reception was lovely.

The owner had Foxtel removed from tv so was disappointed not to be able to watch the game. Advertised as a hotel but no bar, room service or breakfast/restaurant on Saturdays and Sundays which was a little unusual although plenty of good options nearby.

A lovely hotel virtually next door to Toowoomba Central Plaza so in a great location as well as easy walk to the main street and all the restaurants, pubs and eateries. The hotel is beautifully clean and well maintained. Staff were very polite and called me up the day before just to check on our bedding configuration (travelling with family members) so we couldn't have asked for better service.

Excellence from start to end. The staff are very welcoming. The room was spacious and spotless. The food in the restaurant was very affordable and of a very high standard. As a person who travels frequently, I would say without hesitation that this is a place to keep in mind.
