Applegum Inn

The room was very clean and airy with a small, ample fridge, table and chairs, luggage shelf and wardrobe with hangers. Bed was very comfortable with clean, ironed, fresh, crisp bed linen and bedside tables. The bathroom was very clean with soft towels and very spacious shower, which actually had a hand rail, a hook to hang your towel on near the shower and a soap holder, which is often not available in more modern motels, so was appreciated. Being able to open the screened windows was great to be able to have fresh air and not air-conditioned all the time. Great location in a leafy and quiet neighborhood with an easy stroll to Queens Park. We will definitely stay again.

Although not an issue for us, the parking for our room is apparently sometimes not available outside the room due to the car park layout so it can be too tight to accommodate the number of cars outside associated rooms. The car can be parked further away from the end room which means it is not outside your own room which is not as convenient but can still be accommodated in the secure motel area. The car park area needed a hose down/sweep to clean it a little but wasn't too bad. No other issues with this lovely motel.

Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff. I found the price very reasonable. It was a quick stay for us, but a good stop along the way to the Fraser coast from inland regional NSW. I have stayed here before and would stay again or recommend it to others.

There was a slightly strange chemical smell in our room but it was not unbearable and the room itself was clean and tidy. The room this time was a little smaller than what I stayed in previously but was the same type of room. These were only just very minor things and did not affect our overall experience which was very positive.

The staff went the extra mile. My husband was having skin cancers removed on his head the morning of our check in and, knowing he wouldn't be up to sitting around in a café waiting for normal check in times, I asked if we would be able to check in a couple of hours early. The staff got back to me immediately and happily accommodated my request at no extra charge. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

Everything about the accommodation itself was great. Unfortunately, two doors down from us were some younger people, one of whom was shouting, screaming etc in the room and out in the car parking area until 1.30am and then again from around 6.00am until she finally left. Consequently we had very little sleep and were utterly exhausted. This is not the fault of Applegum but it did have a negative impact on our stay, which otherwise would have been great.

I can not rate Applegum highly enough. We booked after reading previous reviews and asked for disabled facilities. Within 24 hrs we were contacted and told that they would ensure bathroom accessories would be available for me as well. They accepted my fully registered and qualified Assistance dog when I showed paperwork without question unlike other places. I highly recommend and the facilities were perfect. Thanks so much for a beautiful stay. It was such a relief to be able to turn up knowing I could shower safely and have my assistance dog with me.

A last minute booking needing a twin room. We arrived late, after 10pm and left just after 8am the next morning. A quick and simple process for late night key collection and was grateful that the laundry was still accessible after wearing the same clothes for 2 days 😳 The room was clean with comfortable beds and a good hot shower with great water pressure. Just the thing after a long stressful day 🙏

I was glad my travel companion arrived a little while after me because I needed 10x$1 coins for the laundry

Rooms are all on one level, straight from the carpark, which is great for the mobility impaired.

I received what felt like 00s of messages from Booking.com to say my card wasn't working to take the payment and my bookingwouldbe cancelledunless I updated my card, when I had been told that payment would be taken at the hotel. The card details were fine so there was no reason for this. I called and spoke to the receptionist, who couldn't have been nicer.

Location was ideal as we were attending a nearby skin clinic. Rooms were very clean.

Was disappointed the restaurant was not operational - I booked this motel as website showed it had a restaurant. As we were there for surgery, being able to use the onsite restaurant would have saved us having to leave the motel in search of meals. One night, we had take away delivered at 7.30 - only to discover the only cutlery available was 2 teaspoons. A couple of knives and forks would have been appreciated.

The ease of getting to the location and places in the vacinity, the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff, easy to book and easy to make changes as needed

The only thing I didn’t like was how thin the walls were felt like I could hear the people on the next room (they were my friends so it was okay) but the noise seemed to travel a bit through the walls

Friendly, welcoming Reception manager; older facility but exceptionally neat and clean with a really comfortable bed. It was a short uber trip into Toowoomba city centre. While on busy road, our room was extremely quiet. Breakfast available but we went to a nearby Cafe.

.We were in a unit toward the end of the block furtherest from the road. Our dual cab Ute blocked the car in the very end unit from being able to get out. As it was a family member we swapped car spaces and it worked. I am sure management would have ways of solving this issue.

Location was close to all to see and do in Toowoomba, and quiet enough to hear birdsong. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, and bed comfortable, and the decor, though a little dated, was tasteful and uplifting

Parking was a little snug outside the room, but was partially undercover, so helpful in poor weather.
