Palazzo Colonnades

I stayed here in 3 separate one bedroom apartments over the past few months & although individually owned the most dated unit still had comfortable furniture & bed & big bathroom with washer dryer. The best view of the river from the 7th floor, 3rd floor had a view of the pool which was quite lovely. The 5th floor unit overlooked the Tramlines but beautiful sunsets and ocean glimpses kept us mesmerised. The staff are professional & helpful. Karla our housekeeper had a bubbly disposition & was a joy to engage with & obviously good at her job based on the cleanliness of all 3 units whilst there. I rate it highly out if the dozens of serviced apartments on the Gold Coast

Smaller flat screen TVs in some units so if you need a big one ask first

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly, and the facilities they offer are great. We regret not using the pool and jacuzzi, if only we had more time. The property has their own dryer and washing machine, which is amazing to have, very handly. The view is amazing, overseeing the pool and bridge with lights. Very comfortable stay and affordable.

The dishwasher had a bad odour. Even after running it, the smell was still there, and items washed in it smelt like dead rat. The cups had old food like chia seed on them and oily hand stains. TV was very blurry, like resolution was poor and no TV guide. My partner updated and scanned the channels, which made the resolution so much better and added the TV show guide. With the Game room area, we were only able to use the ping pong table because most of the items there were not working.

The hotel was in a great location. The tram was right out the front door and very easy to use. The bed was really comfy. The air con worked really well. Pool area was clean and nice to take a dip. Walking paths along the beach were great, the hotel was only one block away from the beach. Lots of choice in restaurants within walking distance and Surfers shops and entertainment were also within walking distance.

The bathroom was not very clean. Leftover soap in the shower and some mould was also present. The shower flood actually a bit slippy to walk on because of the mould or maybe because it hadn't been cleaned properly. The bathroom flood was dirty, the white floor mat was black on the bottom after our first shower. I actually washed the floor myself. The kitchen floor was dirty and felt sticky to walk on. The front of the fridge had a lot of finger prints on it so it was evident that it hadn't been cleaned properly as well. The toilet brush need to be replaced - it was degusting. Considering the last 2 years with covid I actually expected it to be cleaner. Towels were very thin.

Nicely located right outside of surfers paradise area which makes it quite peaceful yet near to prime location. Tram station also is just few steps outside. Equipped with all great facilities you could think of i.e. swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym, sauna, underground private parking etc. Our room also comes with all the amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, stove, microwave, AC etc. All in all clean and very nice accommodation.

Probably to provide bit more of the mini toiletries such as soap, shampoo etc depending of no of days a guest is staying.

Easy to find. Clean and functional. Right across from.the G:link tram stop (Northcliffe). Pacific Fair only a few stops a way by tram. Direct to SeaWorld by bus as bus stop just a few minutes walk away. Very helpful and friendly staff, requested and was allowed parking in visitor's carpark as unable to get under the underground parking (clearance 2.1m but required 2.2m for lifted 4WD.

Is a little tired so a little refurb would be good. The downside to having tram station right across the road is the constant tram noise till late into the night.

Location was great. Good value for money. Room size was great. Facilities of room and of venue were great. View from balcony was very good, we could see a lot.

Lack of staff onsite causing confusion at check in. Staff finishing at 12pm on weekends is strange. I was called at 11:30am on the day of arrival to tell me I was a late check-in despite my booking not starting until 2pm that day. Advised on call centre call that I had to provide a $200 deposit which was the first I heard of this. We felt a little like the room key was being held hostage until we paid this deposit. When I did manage to speak to a staff member and advise them that this deposit was not mentioned I was told abruptly that it's on Bookings.com info somewhere.....I've checked since then, if it is there it is well hidden.

The location was very good , close to Surfers Central but with quick access South to Pacific Fair etc . Mono rail ran past the apartment . Lounge seating very comfortable . Huge TV . Beds were comfortable . Small balcony facing seaward , was nice . Facilities were excellent and in very good condition : pool , hot tub , gym , sauna and a games room .

Was a bit noisy , you could hear the mono rail but it did not bug us . But there was quite a bit of yelling in the middle of the night .

The location was perfect, with the tram stop directly out the front. 200m walk to the beach and 700m walk to Cavill Ave (main shopping district of Surfers Paradise) The one bedroom apartment was very spacious with a good sized balcony. My after hours checkin process was faultless. A perfect place to stay for families, couples or singles and I felt very safe staying on my own. This property only has 10 floors unlike the majority of high rises in the area.

There was nothing that I didnt like. The day before check out, I was given a form to provide any areas of improvement or faults. I did report the hot plate in kitchen as it seemed faulty but certainly not a complaint.

The room was amazing. Comfortable, homey and beautiful. Everything was so easy to access. The pool and spa were lovely. Even at 8:30 in the morning the water was not freezing and the spa was like a lovely hot bath. It’s got the light rail right outside and it’s only a short walk to all that Surfer’s Paradise has to offer. It’s close to the bus station as well which was a real bonus for us as we came by train and coach.

Honestly, the internet reception was not great. Everything was freezing and it was hard to get a connection. Perhaps a stronger signal in future. I saw there was a rec room and in the brochure it had snooker tables and video games shown but I couldn’t seem to find them.
