Park Regis City Quays

Taking the shuttle from the airport was convenient for a fee of $20 that can be arranged at the Exemplar coaches desk at the airport. My check in was quick (I prechecked online) and the staff were lovely. I enjoyed the rooftop pool and the convenience of the location to the main part of Cairns. The little balcony was useful for drying towels and swimwear.

I was awoken by some water dripping onto my face at about 2am one morning. I quickly realised that the air conditioner in room 306B was dripping onto my pillow (and face). I moved to the other side of the bed and slept for the rest of the night, after taking some evidence in photos because all that water on the pillow had dried by the morning. I reported this to staff who were very apologetic and promised to address the issue. Also, plumbling noises can be heard through the walls from other rooms.

I liked that the place was really clean and offered us amenities that we didn't want to have to carry around like soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Every time we passed the main desk the staff always greeted us with a smile and engaged with us. I liked that you had to have a card to access the doors after hours made us feel safe.

I would say there was nothing that was a didn't like. However, I would suggest including more blankets. Sometimes its nice to snuggle on the couch with a blanket but the room only had one that was put away in one of the closets.

Staff were friendly, the place was clean and quiet and the rooms were quite cosy. The pillows were all usable, not hard and none of those double thick or super thin ones you can't sleep on.

They offer a discount if you book through their official website but their booking system was atrocious and booking system crashed several times so I booked through booking.com to avoid it but they still ask you to complete a precheck-in which works as well as their booking system. The hot water in the bathroom also took several minutes to kick in, my partner had it on full hot and just took a freezing shower thinking there was no hot water but it kicked in halfway through mine after. Different times of day didn't produce different results.

Park Regis is a fantastic place to stay overall. The apartment suite is a luxurious home away from home with everything you could want and more. It was spacious, extremely well equipped with a lovely expansive balcony. The desk area, storage room, and kitchen was great. One of my favourite things about this hotel is the reliable level of excellent cleanliness. The beds and rooms always feel so fresh crisp clean and comfortable.

I was a bit surprised that for the more expensive room option there were two issues that could have been improved - the air con was a bit dusty and musty and the bed was two singles pushed together which compromised the comfort that the bed could have provided. Overall these are minor complaints though, still a very nice place to stay.

I have stayed at Park Regis on a previous trip to Cairns, so this time around after a terrible experience at a different hotel, I decided to treat myself to a night here because I knew I could rely on Park Regis for a great experience with impeccable standards of cleanliness, comfort and customer care. The room is like a haven where I could completely relax. The aircon and all facilities work perfectly. Great location, love the balconies and how well thought out every detail and addition is. As always, Park Regis did not let me down.

This room was perfect, zero complaints.

The location is convenient to the waterfront and many shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and even included a washer and dryer.

It's a bit dated looking, especially coming from a newer condo in Melbourne. I woke the first morning there, to the sound of chairs scraping along the floor above me. They know it's a problem, because it's in the contract you sign when you check in. They could easily put some felt pads on the chair legs to alleviate the problem. The shower gel is so watered-down that you have to use lots of it.

Positive side the room had many amenities and provided cutlery and other related item and with great location. On the negative, the front desk staff were not in hotel when we arrived and were informed the same evening (7:30pm when we were in the air of the manner of checking in post-8pm) - frankly we should have been informed earlier

Manner of communication on the check-in process - we were lost when we arrived at the hotel - this could and should have been avoided

Great location in the centre of Cairns near the trown cen trfer anmd the Harbour. Plent of restaurants, bars and shops nearny including the Sauce and Hemmingway breweries which are both excellent for beer and food. Boat and helipcopter de;partufre points flor Great Barrier Reef tours, Cairns Museum and Aquarium were alll withguin 5-10 muinutes walk. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the TV was clear, and the swimming pool was very welcome on hot days. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The signal strangth on the wifi was low, it was prone to cutting out, and would not work at all on my wifi radio.

Location is really good. It is located right in the city centre. The room was large and comfortable. They have both an AC and fan going which kept the space nice and cool. Spacious bathroom with large walk in shower. Did an after hours check in and was gone all day so never really interacted with the staff there.

Room was clean except the bathroom sink. Looks like it had been missed. There is also a step that is about 2 inches high walking into the bathroom. This needs to be highlighted as I stubbed my toe on it several times.

Our stay was perfect! The place was great, clean and exactly what we wanted. Central location so was easy to walk to everything and view from the balcony was beautiful. Dan from Cosie Homes was amazing in helping us organise our activities and hire car working around the clock to make everything happen. Thomas was a great host and communication was very clear.
