Novotel Brisbane Airport

We arrived late at night at the airport and got a taxi to the hotel, it only cost around $8. The hotel is located right across the road from a small shopping centre and the supermarket was open late at night so I could go and buy a few things. The staff was very friendly and gave us a free room upgrade. I was travelling with two kids and we only got to the room, slept and woke up early the next morning to get to our next flight so did not have time to use any of the other facilities.

Dinner service was poor, incorrect order and one meal was no delivered with the rest and have to wait for 10 to 15mins to arrive. We did order special of the day which was prawn bistro soup and was not served with soup spoon but have to help ourselves to look for one. We understand that the restaurant was busy later on but at the time when we ordered it was not busy so not sure what went wrong with our order. Being in the hospitality industry for many years, I believe your F&B staff needs more training, where they introduce themselves and explain about the specials of the day and what is available and not available. Please accept this as constructive and eventhough this was the only issue we had, but I will still use your facilities to stay

The staff were friendly, well dressed and accommodating. Local shops, Woolworths, Dan Murphy's and more only 2 min walk away. Kettle, tea, coffee, hot choc supplied in the room. Could be a little more generous with the milk. The food was wonderful with very generous servings and breakfast is self serve with everything you can think of on offer. Beds very comfy and block-out curtains are great for sleepy jet lagged people. Large TV in the room with all the apps so people can use their own Netflix, Stan etc.

The drains in our room smelt putrid. Don't know what was wrong but I called downstairs within 5 min to ask if someone could address it with a bottle of disinfectant but I am not sure if anyone came as we went out....the smell continued through our 3 day stay. The only other thing was that I wasn't told that you need to access the lift with your room key tag. I was standing in the lift for 5 min trying to press floor 3 and was thinking the lift didn't work. When I told them that I couldn't get the lift to work, I was then told about the room key tag. A note in the lift might help people out there.

Concierge very friendly. Night receptionist very efficient - organised a direct taxi for set price of $15 for early morning departure when shuttle was full.

Having the welcome sign on the TV addressed to Mr Anne Knowles - I would have thought Anne was a fairly obvious female name. I advised the receptionist but it was not changed. No shuttle from airport to hotel. We checked in to hotel, dropped off all our luggage then returned our rental car. We explained to the same receptionist that they would drop us at the airport and asked about shuttle to hotel. She said we would have to take a taxi. Fortunately the other receptionist overheard and advised us of free link shuttle on Skygate.

The location was excellent for an overnight stay after a long International flight. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room spacious, clean, and had disabled facilities in the bathroom. Taxi to and from airport made it easy access.

There was no way of charging my phone as no USB ports available on walls or sockets. I came from another country without an Australian adaptor. The swimming pool was closed for repairs (again in winter). On checkout in the early morning staff at reception were chatting among themselves ignoring me standing there for a while.

I recently stayed at Novotel Brisbane Airport and found it to be a great choice for short term accommodation. The room was clean and comfortable, although the pillows could have been more comfortable. The highlight of my stay was definitely the buffet breakfast - there was a large selection to choose from and I appreciated that kids ate for free with paying adults. The hotel's location near the airport was also convenient for my travel needs. Overall, I would recommend Novotel Brisbane Airport for anyone looking for a comfortable stay near the airport with a great breakfast option.

Hard to get to. Can’t walk to/from airport - hotel shuttle bus costs $8 pp to get to/from airport, taxi $20. No reason to stay there unless you are flying in/out so shuttle bus should be free/included in room rate. Hotel Ibis is cheaper and more convenient to airport but lower quality. Hotel restaurant serves limited range of reasonable food at expensive prices, but that is not unusual for airport hotels. Swimming pool closed - under repair, with no evidence of recent work.

We arrived off a late flight and were welcomed by Cody who was very friendly and engaging. As we had missed dinner due to flight times and not wanting the usual fast food options we ordered room service which was served hot and fresh. Breakfast the next morning was very good with excellent variety and food was of a high standard. Only thing I didn't love was the coffee from the machine but it was a minor thing and I know I could have ordered a barista coffee. Geoff who checked us out was very professional and a great conversationalist. Would definitely stay again if we had a late flight.

The staff need to be commended on their professionalism and general care for their customers. From shuttle/transfer information to room service information. Booked a room and gave incredibly short notice in needing early (10.15am) check in due to painful laser eye surgery and not having planned for such a painful recovery, it was no issue, it was arranged and check in was so seamless! I was so grateful!!!! The rooms were clean, of good size and comfortable beds. We will most definitely stay again.
