Best Western Airport 85 Motel

Staff were beyond helpful. Will definitely stay again when flying into/out of Brisbane. So handy having breakfast included. If you have young kids it's worth the little extra walk down the road to Hercules Park for the playground there. We also liked the restaurants down at Portside wharf. One morning we got the ferry from Brett's wharf into southbank (50mins) and then another day we got the train (30mins) opposite the hotel into the southbank. One evening we got a uber home from centre of city and that was $18. Really easy to get around on all methods of transport.

We asked for a ground level unit but were allocated an upstairs room which was very difficult for over 80 year olds with suitcases.

Clean and comfortable, quite close to the airport and across the road from a train station that will take you Central station in 30mins. The staff (?owners) were very helpful - the woman helped us with our bags up the stairs. Very quiet.

Not really a dislike, but it's not really a place to stay for sightseeing around Brisbane, best just for 1 night before or after going to the airport and onto your next destination (we did it the night before getting on a cruise). The rooms are very small. Was a bit disappointing that we had to pay $10 for my daughter to have breakfast when it was literally just toast and cereal (the adults were free, so it could have been included in the price I feel)

Great price, spacious clean rooms & shared areas, friendly staff & management, lovely well stocked breakfast area, quiet & comfortable. Close to everything we needed; the airport, public transport (is across the road from Doomben train station and bus stop) and was a short Uber ride away from Eagle Junction station when catching the late train (after attending a concert at Suncorp Stadium) or shopping at the DFO. There was also the Gallopers Sports Club, cafe’s and Woolworths a short walk from the property. We didn’t get to use the spa & pool or kids area this visit, but they will be great to try next time on future family trip’s. Extra pluses for there being plenty of hot water with good consistent water pressure and the ease of entry when locking and unlocking our room (no showers cut short or wrangling with the lock every time we come and go).

Breakfast was good, compared with others we have had it was good.

Because we were there over a long weekend there was no room service for 2 days. Also, on the Saturday the room wasn't serviced because the attendant said they couldn't get in the rear door as it was locked. We didn't touch the rear door so if it was locked it was when we arrived. However, the manager did come over on the weekend and clear the rubbish etc. We weren't told when we booked that there was no room service on Sundays and public holidays.

2nd stay here and loved it once again. We also booked for family members and we had 3 rooms altogether. Everyone enjoyed their stay & the convenience of being able to all walk to a 40th, we attended around the corner. Room beautifully clean & had everything you could possibly need. For us a walk in shower & a comfortable bed is a must, & this accom. 100% satisfied us both. Kitchenette was extremely adequate & if you wanted an 'in room mini bar' with very reasonable pricing, you've got it here. Thank you Kellie & John once again, & sure we'll definitely be back, now we have family members, as new 'local home owners'. PS thank you also, for the little later check out to suit our flights back to Sydney, very much appreciated

Check in went well, the receptionist was very friendly and informative. Unfortunatley we didn't have time for breakfast - had to get to the airport early(ish). Handy to supermarket and airport. Freephone with direct line to taxi company outside reception was handy.

Bit of neighbouring noise early in the evening, but it eventually settled down. Over the road from train station, and handy to supermarket and a few eatiries. No complaints, all good thanks. Good wifi.

Very comfy bed. Good sized bathroom and shower pressure. Helpful staff (with late check in) and very timely responses to our requests. Didn't use the pool nor eat in the area, so not sure what was around.

Was next to the dining room, so at breakfast we could hear dishes/cutlery being collected/washed. Wasn't a major problem as we had an early morning start, but if we'd wanted to sleep in, it would've been a bit of nuisance (Room 1).

I had a beautiful, quite spacious room with a very comfortable large double bed plus a single bed. The bathroom was neat & tidy with a decent sized shower. There was plenty of space for my belongings in the wardrobe & other storage spaces. Everything was absolutely lovely. Excellent proximity (walking distance in high heels) to Doomben Racecourse.

There was nothing really not to like. The car parking is not allocated by room nor would there appear to be enough off-street parking for every room if that was important to you, but we had no issues finding an accessible park (in a dual cab ute) & our guests were easily able to park on the street.

Very good communication prior to stay. We were going to arrive after hours and they gave us clear instructions on how to get in. They also provided a light breakfast which we found more than adequate and enjoyed. Our room was upstairs and there was no lift. We are older and were struggling with suitcases but a member of staff came to our rescue as soon as he saw us.
