Manly Hotel

A very comfortable and large older style ensuite room on first floor of the hotel, very central location close to Manly Harbour and a number of bar and dining options. Very comfortable bed. The management team very helpful. Ample on-site can parking at the rear of the hotel.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, so no dining facilities. However, that is only an issue during daytime construction hours - very peaceful in the evening and at night ! TV reception was OK in the evening but on most channels was problematic in the morning.

We were nervous about staying at the hotel as we had heard reports it wasn't going to be a great stay, being it was a pub and it was loud and dingy. We were actually pleasantly surprised. The photos did not on the site were not an accurate portrayal of the rooms as they were much better the expected in person. Room 15 was clean and well kept, with nice mattresses, pillows and enough towels for everyone in the room. The bar staff even delivered us food from the bar when we went down and ordered, which was definitely not expected! Coming home at midnight from an engagement party we could hear the music blaring so was gearing up for a very sleepless night, however quickly realised that was from across the road and once in our room, other than our frisky neighbours, there was no noise to be heard. Thank you for the pleasant surprise, we have already recommended it to our local friends, as they were the ones that were nervous for us!

The outlook of the room was ho-hum, staring at a dirty aircon unit that kept flapping around and dead plants weren't appealing, but honestly the least of our worries. I would also suggest getting rid of the green cushions and green throw on the beds, they make me feel uneasy because most of the time I don't know if they could actually be washed, the white linen at least leaves you assured that if anything it's had a good bleach. I'd also have a look at the aircon unit as it was a tiny bit rattly.

I found the staff really friendly and helpful, particularly being positioned as far away from the bar so I could get a good nights sleep. The bar being open so late with such friendly staff meant I could grab a drink AFTER I got back from dancing classes- was a perfect end to a wonderful day. I mainly stopped here because I wanted an early start to NSW the following day, but I thought the location and service so good I decided I will come back another day to enjoy the location.

Booking through Bookings.com made it very difficult to contact the Manly Hotel about changing when I was going to arrive and this was very frustrating for me. There seemed to be no way I could contact the Manly Hotel about issues that arose after my initial booking.

staff were super friendly and accessible. I was warned about the noise (my first night stay was a Saturday) but once I was in my room, I heard nothing. Cleaning staff had done an amazing job, couldn’t find a fault. Was concerned about 2 beds being pushed together to create a “king” but couldn’t tell once I was in those comfy sheets.

friendly staff, spacious room with lots of storage, all solid wood closets, superking size bed, very comfortable. Lights, fans and music can all be controlled from the bedside console.

A biccie to go with the cup of tea would be nice. And a 2nd bedside lamp.

I had an exceptional experience, the room was beautiful extremely clean big bed and close to the water. The hotel below was closed and in full renovation, this was not mentioned at time of booking!

As far as hotel accommodation goes the Manley Hotel was a perfect stay. The room was very clean – bathroom facilities spotless and very well equipped. The ambience of the décor and style was very fitting for this type of accommodation

Nothing not to like - we had a room with balcony and view – this allowed for breeze and fresh air which was lovely given the location of being on the bay – the hotel is very close to other eateries – coffee shops and wine bars with live music with is always a bonus

Exceptions staff and extrememly accommodating. I didn't arrive until midnight on my first night and had to book an additional night on the move whilst driving down to Brisbane and they were more than happy to help. Love the daily room servicing and exceptional atmosphere of the whole venue. Restaurant was exceptional

Good value for money, the staff are very helpful and kind, also the room is spacious and clean, just 3mins walk to the seaside and 6 mins walk to the Train station. IGA store 1mins away, you can by all sorts of things there.

Just a bit noisy during the evening, but just shut the window will do the job

The room was clean quiet and functional. A nice large bathroom, the bed was comfortable and the A/C worked great. There was no noise at all from downstairs. Really good value and the staff we interacted were friendly and helpful. Able to take drinks from the bar up to the room. There is a nice balcony to sit on and look out over the bay.
