Avenues Hostel

Breakfast ingredients are provided, you make your own, which was perfect for me. Cereals, fruit, eggs, bread, milk, juice, tea, coffee. Great start to the day. Bed was comfortable and there was a secure area for me to lock my bike which other hostels in the area did not provide The hot shower after a long few days of cycling & camping set me up for one of the best sleeps of my life there

John , the receptionist, is very helpful. A new staff called Jennifer is extremely helpful, kind and warm - hearted. She even cooked eggs for tenants. She tried very hard to make the hostel cleaner and tidier than before she started to work in the hostel.

This hostel was a great place to stay in SLC! I can't wait to go back. The staff was super helpful and nice. They had two full kitchens and provided breakfast and dinner. I stayed in a private room which was nice but I had been staying in dorm rooms before this for about a month so it was nice to have my own room. The location was a super super residential area not far from a gorgeous view of the city and mountain range from a hill attached to a LDS hospital about 8-10 blocks away. Also a quick scooter ride (or nice solid walk) from downtown and temple square and many parks. I highly recommend!

That i didn't book more nights to stay!

Breadkfast exceeded my expectations. Great and lots of food. Also, coffee available all the time was nice.

The breakfast was great in diversity, and the room we stayed in was really big with a kitchen inside.

We could not find the hairdryer in the room. We could hear the sound from the nearby room very clear, and the alarm ringing for a long time was annoying.

The amount of food items provided for us for breakfast was amazing. I really appreciated the staff's friendliness. There were a couple of small business you could also go for food near by or the super market which came in handy.

Rooms could use some sweeping and dusting.

Front desk was very accommodating when I arrived close to closing time. Bed was very comfortable

Just a fun little place , did not expect breakfast

SLC is lucky to have this classic, ideally situated hostel. Staff could not have been nicer, more accommodating. Bathroom kept clean. Fun to socialize with other travelers. Comfortable, well appointed common area.

AC runs too cold in smaller interior rooms.

Management was very kindhearted and understanding. Plus the bedroom and bathroom were nicely clean. This spot made my tour much easier. Also the vintage piano is to die for!

Towels could have been cleaner, but it's not actually a big deal.
