Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, an IHG Hotel

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the temperature of the room was good, the rooms were quiet and the staff was polite. I forgot a toothbrush and toothpaste and they gave me one right away. The hotel also texted me every day to see if we needed anything, which we did not, but it was a nice gesture.

Everything was top-notch about the stay except one little thing. The room we had, which was 1013, does not have a good seal around the door so hallway light shines in on all four sides at night. So if you’re sensitive to light and need a very dark room this would bother you. But maybe if you’re sensitive to light you’re also used to wearing eye covers and it wouldn’t bother you.

This hotel is beautiful and I go out of my way to stay at a Hotel Monaco. As usual it was stunning and the room was comfy.

Coffee was cold when we got it at around 7:30 am. I only mention it because it was a $300+ stay for one night, but I get it- things do happen. It was a Wed evening and it was very quiet so I am surprised the price was $300. The construction was a right pain especially because it was immediately outside the side entrance and they had to close the restaurant due to the work being done.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable. Within walking distance to City Creek and Eccles Theater. Dog was welcome.

Small room. Room I booked on Booking.com was 2 queen beds. Reservation showed one queen bed. Unsure what the disconnect is between online room description and what is actually reserved.

loved the room and staff, they were all so helpful and saw that my every need was met. I also LOVED the jacuzzi tub! The gentlemen at the valet parking were SO awesome!

I had issues with the phone in my room. I couldn't figure out how to get it to come through with the hand set, it would only function on speaker mode. Also, the button that showed it would go to valet went to the front desk instead. I would have liked to have coffee in the room that I could make myself. Also would have appreciated free Wi-Fi in the room given the cost.

One of the best properties. High quality and great rooms.

Parking options

Hotel was beautiful room was clean however my flight was delayed and did not get to stay at hotel as long as planned. Was woken up to the glass recycling dump early in morning since outside of my room window.

Since we had such a severe delay we arrived in a we and only stayed less than 8 hours. I asked at check in to downgrade to a cheaper room since we were not able to stay as planned and that was not and that was not accommodated. I was told that would not be an option so I overpaid significantly for a room that was not able to be enjoyed or use other amenities at hotel.

The downtown location was great. We got sort-of upgraded to a good, corner room with a great location within the hotel, however the bed was a downgrade from one queen-sized bed to a pair of full sized beds in a larger room. Mind you, the corner room we ended up in was nice. While not a wheelchair-accessible shower, it was a handicap accessible tub/shower and a tall toilet. It was nice. We loved the overall look and feel of the hotel (oval moldings on the doors, other original 1924 features, felt rather art deco, very cool).

The two-full bed room gave my wife room to roll around in while in her wheelchair, but the beds were not very comfortable, they were too small (full instead of queen), and the setup was only marginally better than the small, queen-sized bed room with the handicap, wheelchair shower. We also hated the size of the room fridge. There was hardly enough room to store leftovers from dinner. Oh, and the non-office style chair in the room was rather uncomfortable. The hotel should play up their 1924 origins and go for a hotel trapped in time feel.

The staff was very accommodating & provided great service. Room & amenities were great. Had a good view of downtown.

Got in too late to enjoy the restaurant. Wish it was open later. Also, there was no mini or honor bar in the room as it mentioned it had.

Very beautiful, with lots of charm. Beds are comfortable and clean.

There was an issue with our hot water but the hotel was very receptive to our needs and went the extra mile to ensure we had a good stay, even going so far as the manager giving a hand written apology note and complimentary snacks as a treat for the inconvenience. Also they monetarily compensated the room for the inconvenience. Very great hotel stay.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. We love it. We chose a roomy corner bedroom, plenty of space, great bathroom, great shower.

The host at the hotel restaurant was stand offish, unfriendly and unhelpful. We did not have a reservation, but it was only 2 of us and even with the social distancing and spaced out tables, there looked like a possible place for us. He didn't even offer us a later time to come back. I did not play the "we're guests of the hotel" card because it shouldn't matter. Anyway, I was disappointed. But, we found a great restaurant a few blocks away and the host/manager there could not have been nicer. What a difference.
