Mountain Springs Lake Resort

The location was excellent. The cottage felt like it was separate from the others even though they were all set in groups. The peace and quiet was the best part of the experience.

It snowed a lot after we arrived and our driveway was never plowed while the other guests driveways had been taken care of. We were out in the daytime each day of our stay and still, we had to drive over the same mounds of snow from the constant snowfall. If not for the four wheel drive on my SUV, we would have surely been stuck.

We stayed in one of the king suites. It was immaculate. Beautifully decorated, extremely clean, very spacious and comfortable. The room had everything we needed including coffee. The location was fabulous - beautiful, right near the lake. The next morning we headed over to one of the lake beaches and had it entirely to ourselves. It was so gorgeous and peaceful.

The map was a LITTLE tricky in order to find the cottage at first - luckily my husband is much better with maps and directions than I am, so he figured it out much faster than I would have. The price was a little steeper than our normal nightly budget on a hotel, however I can't complain about it too much because the place truly was stunning and in an excellent location. We really enjoyed our time.

This was our second stay in the Couples Cottage and it was wonderful! There are many 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom Cottages at this resort in addition to several Couples Suites. But there is only ONE Couples Cottage and we are hooked! Immaculate accomodations, jacuzzi tub, spa towels & robes, gas fireplace, complimentary soda, coffee & water. Glassware, silverware, dishes, ice machine. All tucked away in a tiny cottage in the woods. So peaceful and refreshing! Our go to place for a quick getaway!

That we had to check out!

Location was great, close to everything, but tucked away in the quiet. I will definitely return!

We had a tiny leak in what should be the "skylight", where the glass was replaced with wood shutter-like slats. I was able to clean it with a paper towel twice over the course of our weekend stay. It didn't disrupt our stay, but would have been more annoying if we were there longer.

We liked the Hillside Suites and the clean beautiful lake. Also, we liked being able to bring our own kayaks. The fish are always agreeable.

Firstly, we would like an earlier check in so you don’t lose your first day of vacation. Secondly, a later check out would be nice.

The place is cleaner than my own home lol very organized - towels and bed covers smell fresh. Big property, nice scenery and many things to do.

Check in at 4 PM, check out at 10 AM not much flexibility, so this is almost a whole day you paid good price for and can’t enjoy the property. 10 AM to 4 PM is a 6 hour gap! I know Business owners have their reason, but come on…

The suite was immaculate. The property is well cared for and quiet. Shower jets were soothing, the deck was relaxing and jacuzzi was nice. The beach, boating, volleyball, swings, seesaw and horseshoe throw was a pleasant surprise.

The potholes turning into the property. definitely was an eyesore and quite annoying.

We came from NH on a motorcycle and had gotten a late start. When we got there it was around 7:30 and the office was closed. The owner saw us becoming very frustrated & came over to assist us. Very kind man. Continued to check on us through out our stay which unfortunately was too short. Absolutely beautiful grounds, cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in. I’m a clean freak so I actually look for dirt & there was nothing. The corners, inside cupboards & drawers, closets, I was so happy. The morning we left I saw a doe & her fawn walking across one of the meadows, as we were leaving on our motorcycle down the drive just on the edge of the woods watching us was a huge, beautiful buck. Never forget it. Hope we get a chance to go again.

The weather. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire time we were there. The first evening we were there we went to dinner to a local brewery that the owner had recommended but it was extremely busy. Couldn’t go to that restaurant, went across street to a taco place. Nothing fancy at all & that is why I thought it would be good. It was not.

It was beautiful and peaceful. I loved having coffee with the view of the lake. It was private and the suite was gorgeous!

I would have loved if checkout time was a drop later even by an hour but I would come back for another visit.

The cleanliness, the decor and the comfort. I have been here several times and would definitely recommend it to others.

There is Wi-Fi but no streaming service (Netflix) which is unheard of nowadays. Also, the potholes in and around the property needs to be fix. Paving needs to be done.
