Residence Inn by Marriott Akron Fairlawn

We didn't join in breakfast. We liked the size and amenities of the hotel and the friendliness of staff.

There were a few minor things in the room that weren't ideal. The garbage disposal wasn't working. A few lightbulbs were out. But the biggest issue was in the design of the shower; the door opened in so it was impossible to turn on the water without either getting all the way in (and blasting oneself with cold or hot water) or contorting to turn on the water (which then blasted out onto the floor.) The fan in the shower was also VERY LOUD, so loud it was extremely disruptive to the other person in the room (i.e. if that person was asleep).

We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. It was a very clean and well-kept facility. The kids enjoyed the pool. It was wonderful to have a full-size refrigerator. Two suggestions- have more trashcans, have better lighting in the kitchen area. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The staff was extremely helpful. They were very busy as the hotel was full, but always took time out to help or help solve a problem. The hotel was very quiet despite being very full.

Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. There is a small 'store' at the main desk with snacks and wine.

The air conditioning worked well, but we turned it off at night because the fan was so loud. There was no way to adjust the fan other than to turn it on or off. The fan in the bathroom was also loud, so if you turn the light on at night, you will wake up your partner. I always travel with a nightlight, but there was no outlet in the bathroom (toilet/shower).

The design and ambience of the the studio is very comforting and efficient... a lot of light and spaciousness. The Lobby's ambience is very inviting ...as is the Exterior, allowing for a move to different surroundings and scenery. The staff is warm, accessible, informative and always willing to help.

There is a water leakage problem with the shower due to the door being misaligned and not closing securely. Maintenance has minimized it ... but it continues to leak leaving the bathroom floor very wet and slippery.

The breakfasz was excellent. The room size and the amenities were excellent.

The outside night lights lit up the room zoo much. My wife needs darkness to help her sleep. The room brightness hindered her sleeping.

Need more variety with the breakfast. Turkey sausage was the only meat option.

I liked the location, the market place where you can get food and alcohol and just have them charge it to you room

The room initially smelled liked urine but that scent went away.

very clean, comfortable and close to highway.

no changing ports for phone or kindle, I forgot my plug adapter. My husband and I have stayed at several hotels this year and this was the first one that did not have a place to plug in a phone cord.

Disappointed the Pool was not open during my stay I guess they had some kind of issue But it was OK

Comfort, mattress and pillows are excellent. Room layout, excellent. Kitchen facilities.

Overall the room was very clean, but the kitchen accessories.
