Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

Smooth checkin and excellent location. My kids enjoyed the stay.

Maybe bathroom needs a little improvement.

The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. They gave excellent directions on how to get to different locations. They gave us free snacks on Saturday night when we got back from the movies late, which was really nice. They took great care of our luggage before we checked in, and after we checked out so that we could keep enjoying the city. They gave me change at the front desk. There is a Chipotle's on site. The staff gave great recommendations for breakfast both days, both of which were great. The location was great so that we could easily go to Water Tower Place, the 900, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Navy pier, and nearby shops and restaurants.

This Hotel is 1 of 3 that I keep in rotation when I’m in the city. Location is perfect, it’s pretty much within walking distance from everything and you’ll also have a pretty decent view at night, if you’re on the 29th floor or above.

•Nearest parking (if you don’t want to pay the hotel $66) has a fee of $49 for 7 hours-24 hours, which is a bit steep in my opinion but at least it’s valet. •No microwave •Shower is outdated •Check out says 12pm on website but it's 11am and you have to call and let them know you're leaving or you can be charged extra.

The hotel is lovely. The room was huge and comfy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was quiet and I couldn't hear neighbours during my stay

I expected the pool to be at least 4 times bigger but all in all water was warm and clean. There were towels and sunbeds available. If you are coming in summer and it's too hot to walk around the city, the pool is a nice option. The beach is also 10-15 min away from the hotel

Check in: Staff wanted to charge $50 early check in fee when I had a confirmation for $31. Breakfast: Not enough staff to keep up with breakfast area cleanliness. Price: This was higher than quoted on Booking.com. I am currently waiting on an approx $300 refund from what my bill asys and what was charged to my bank account.

Elevators took up to 1/2 hour to arrive during peak hours.

I was disappointed with the extreme waste involving paper plates and plastic beakers, ( no segregation of rubbish) ,otherwise breakfast was fine and it was possible to take away a snack for later in the day.

The use of proper crockery in the dining area otherwise proper separation of different types of trash.

The location was perfect and close to EVERYTHING. The staff was very helpful and patient with my huge group.

I purchased two rooms. The first room was fine. The second room was a gift for a birthday celebration. When we walked in the second room all you could smell was cigarettes. This is a non-smoking facility so it was very disturbing to smell cigarettes. It was such a thick smell you’d think someone was sitting in the room smoking when we walked in. Nevertheless as soon as I made the staff aware, they immediately changed the room for us and solved the issues.

Clean, modern and stylish furnishings, friendly desk staff and valets, breakfast, and after returning home our daughter had left behind a shoe which Aurelia from the housekeeping department was excellent at helping arrange to get shipped to us.

Great location and the staff was very kind and helpful. My mom is elderly and the helped answer questions. 

The elevators took way too long. Waited 12 minutes one time. We stayed on the 25th floor and had to walk down one time because the wait.  This is the reason for the 9 out of 10

The staff was amazing, very friendly! Lobby was busy and they handled it with perfection! Was given various recommendations on eateries and attractions while in Chicago which made planning our day so much easier! Loved it

I'm not a fan of heights and we stayed on the 38th floor
