Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Hotel Circle/SeaWorld Area

Breakfast was delicious. There was a full variety of hot and cold options that met all of our different tastes. Staff was friendly, especially the front desk. We loved the outside eating area with the fire pits and all of the foliage. Games, like ping pong, large chess, and a big Jenga tower were available. It was very quiet and the beds were comfortable

We did have a little incident involving housekeeping as they threw away a tied up plastic bag we had setting on the kitchen counter that contained a wet, sandy boy's swimming trunks we had just purchased and used once.

Breakfast was hearty, not just pastries which was great. Room and beds were comfortable and spacious . I appreciated the parking lot had a ton of lights and multiple entrances to access with my key card. With a baby that was great not to have to walk around to the front and far at night .

Parking was kind of expensive but there was always parking so at least that wasn't an issue. We asked for towels and they said someone would come and never did even after waiting 2 hours. The next time we called they were honest and said they had no one so my husband went. That was easier to at least know the issue than sit and wait.

Great for families with our room sleeping 6 and a kitchen to be able to store food and do some basic cooking. (full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher and 2 burner stove top). The door sectioning off the living room and kitchen was great and the room (and entire hotel) was very clean. the breakfast was good and the dinners were an added welcome surprise. I had little interaction with the staff, but they were very responsive when calling to ask for more towels, etc. the location is 15-30 mins away from everything within San Diego.

The dinners are not advertised, nor do they tell you about them upon check in. I find this odd.

The room was spacious and clean! Loved the layout and the breakfast was good! And major bonus that they had light cocktail hour/dinner offered a couple of days during the week too! The hotel was very conveniently located near all the major attractions and beaches in San Diego- didn’t have to travel more than 15min. to anything!

The breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have more turkey and chicken breakfast meat options.

So close to Seaworld. 8-9 minute drive. The hotel is the one of the best hotel we’ve stayed in San Diego. The hot breakfast is soooo delicious! with lots of choices and yummy flavors of juices and coffee . The staff are very warm and accommodating. You get free bottled water upon check in. There’s a “manager’s night” at certain days between 5-7pm wherein they offered free wine, light food and other drinks. We appreciate the staff during breakfast who would call out to everyone to announce that the breakfast area will be closing soon and whoever wants to get anything more, are free to do so before they close. Which I feel is very nice and considerate. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen is well stocked. The room is soooo spacious and clean. The hotel has an area to chill complete with play area with ping pong table and other stuff where kids can play and parents/friends can bond together. There’s an area you can do barbecue. A pool. I give it 9.5 out of 10 rating because the only thing that sucks is the $22/day parking.

Minor maintenance needed in the suite: The closest/bathroom door (one sliding door to either close closet or bathroom instead of one door for each) was very difficult to slide. The difficulty is an easy fix by maintenance. The dishwasher needs replacing: no rear wheels on bottom rack, the machine itself kept turning off, and finally, the dishes did not dry. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable, except for the fact that if the room accommodates 4 people, I would think there would be 4 chairs at the kitchen table instead of only 2 chairs. The front desk staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected: more variety than pastries and dry breakfast cereals only. Bacon, French toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, hot oatmeal, bagels, toast, etc. The pool and hot tub area was clean with ample seating and umbrellas. Towels were clean and fresh smelling.

See above re kitchen/eating area and closet/bathroom door. I was a bit disappointed that the on-premises parking was a bit pricey at $22/day. There were no other options to park (i.e. no street parking).

We loved the breakfast, the lobby seating area was excellent, as was the outdoor courtyard. We spent a lot of time in both, and felt very at home there. The reception and breakfast staff could not have been more helpful, especially as we had various queries about parking, disability parking, a friend staying overnight, extra bedding and a lost soft toy!

The location is only convenient for car drivers, despite having Paradiso park very close, it would have been impossible to visit on foot as the footpath ends a long way before the park and the road the hotel is on is constantly busy. There is a bus, but the hotel is only on the single bus route so again is very limiting. We LOVED everything else about the hotel, but if visiting San Diego again we would look for another Homewood branch in the city centre so that we could make some trips on foot.

The hotel is quiet at night so you can get a restful sleep.

The breakfast buffet was not good. Not much selection, powdered eggs were tasteless, only two pastries to choose from and super bland. There should have been pancakes or waffles. The price of the hotel did not represent what the buffet should entail. My refrigerator in my room was dirty. It had an old take out food container in it from a previous quest. The pool and hot tub are small and packed shoulder to shoulder with people in it. Parking spots are super small and some guests took up two spots to avoid getting their car bumped, we ended up parking far away from our room to get a spot.

The staff was fantastic. They were all kind and friendly. The breakfast and happy hour were the best. The design of the hotel was modern yet cozy. The courtyard was relaxing and fun for kids. I loved the trumpet flowers and their fragrance. A/C was very good yet a little noisy. Beds and pillows were comfy.

Parking fee for each car, items at the front market were $$$, smell of weed in hallway, rooms were showing wear and tear.
