Complimentary beer and wine from 5-7pm is a great bonus. Also, complimentary water and coffee available 24h. The bikes are also a good plus, the e-bike (for rent) is amazing! Friendly staff made me feel like home

We love Santa Monica so we chose Ambrose Hotel for the second time. Best location, safe and convenient with plenty of underground parking. Overall a great hotel.

1. Shower pressure could be better but I understand there is a drought in LA 2. Guests from a wedding party also lived at the hotel and were making a lot of noise after midnight. I had a room facing the courtyard which is why it was quite noisy. 3. Does not offer daily room cleaning service. Need to request a room cleaning the night before. I know it's hard to fill room cleaning jobs nowadays, but for a hotel that charges 300-500 per night, it should be a basic amenity. 4. Booking.com charged me 500 per night but had I booked it directly with the hotel a few days before our arrival, I would've probably only paid 300.

Handy Car Parking Facilities at a good price, handy having hot drinks available all day in the reception area, no kettle in room but one is available on request. Staff super friendly and helpful, every interaction with all the staff was good. They service the rooms every 3 days but happy to take rubbish and change towels or get the room cleaned more frequently if required. Nice sized room and comfy bed. Nice toiletries and a good sized gym. Really handy for a work trip and great fast WIFI

The only thing would be it’s right next to a Hospital so you do hear ambulances go by. my room was right at the front so might have been that but it didn’t disturb my sleep as I’m a deep sleeper but just something to take into consideration if you’re a light sleeper might want to ask for a room at the back of the hotel instead.

I recently stayed at Ambrose Hotel and had a wonderful experience! The staff at the reception desk were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel also provided free bicycle rentals and shuttle service, which was a nice touch and made getting around town a breeze. The room was also fantastic - it was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the gym was well-equipped and provided a great workout experience. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in LA. The exceptional service and amenities truly made my trip unforgettable.

The room and bathroom was large. Quiet location, with the window closed. Good Wi-Fi access. Free aperitif and Tesla service are a good idea. Nice ambience, secure underground parking. Very good location.

At check-in we were told that the Ambrose Hotel is a "Green Hotel" and therefore the rooms are cleaned only every three days. However, we can tell the staff when we need fresh towels. A little disappointing for the rather high price. On booking.com we chose Traditional Studio with king size bed, 30m2 with patio/veranda and walk-in shower. Unfortunately, the pictures and description from booking.com did not match the room we received (Traditional Studio). We had a bathtub instead of walk-in-shower and a super small balcony where barely two chairs fit. At the reception we were told that the pictures from booking.com are not correct.

Very nice room, not too big hotel in which you feel really nice, close to the beach (around 25 min walk), good cosmetics in bathroom, sustainable policy, we were happy to stay there.

Small things to improve, we have family room for 4 people, but only two glasses, two bottles of water, two bathrobes in it. Room service once per 3 days that is fine, but no equipment to dry your towels. After 2 days they just started stinking. The reception staff should be more friendly when you check in as usually in 4 stars hotels. We were explained all details about the hotel in 1 minute quick speech :)

The energy here is very chill yet they meet all your needs

There's not much that I don't like. You're paying a mandatory $25 fee daily basically for coffee and alcohol. If you don't drink cheap wine or pretty good beer everyday you're wasting some money.

The hotel feels like a great independent style hotel, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was fresh and clean with plenty of soaps in the bathroom and the minibar was decently priced. The complimentary local beer and wine between 6 and 8pm was a lovely touch as well. The gym was good too with extra water and towels as you needed. And the town car was really helpful for a quick trip into the town centre.

For a family we could have done with more storage space in the room. There could have been more food options available, i.e. fresh/light food available 24hrs a day, would have been really useful to us.

This hotel has a very nice classy ambiance. The rooms are Comfy and clean. And the hang out spaces are pretty cozy. We loved our stay here it is conveniently located close to everything. Happy hour was a nice surprise when when we arrived serving local beer and wine. We also loved that the hotel has complimentary bikes that we used to cruise around. They also provide free electric car charging and they have a complimentary shuttle service to drop and pick you up within 3 miles of the property. I will also add the hotel is run by great staff. They are helpful and committed to making your stay great. We had a small issue with noise from our room and the immediately moved us. They also were helpful with recommendations for restaurants too. The staff at breakfast were attentive too. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And we will definitely be back.

When they say it’s a Boutique hotel, they ain’t lying. It’s a beautifully decked out premises with good sized rooms. The location, away from all the tourist hubbub, meant the place was sedate and relaxing. The staff were always on hand and helpful.

If I had to say anything negative about the place, it’s not about the hotel itself, but it’s location among lots of medical centres where lots of ambulances (and their sirens going off) get despatched. So, a little extra noise that maybe you don’t expect, but this isn’t a massive tragedy and shouldn’t put you off staying here. It IS a very nice hotel.
