The location is great as many, like my partner and I, would like to enjoy Weymouth beach front and that’s exactly where we were positioned… the location couldn’t have been better. The staff were all great and helpful where needed. The highlight of my stay, alongside the comfort of our room, was prior to the booking I had arranged Roses & Prosecco to be presented in the room for my parter to arrive to which went down an absolute treat in which I have to thank Steve for his help over the phone to make sure my stay went as planned! The bedroom was spacious and we loved the walk-in wardrobe. Would absolutely recommend, and will more than likely stay again in the near future!

Value for money! Although I had a brilliant stay, with very little amounts to say on the negative side of things, I do a fair bit of travelling within the UK and have stayed in equally as nice places for a reduced price than what we paid for our room… I felt as though the selection for breakfast could’ve been a little more advanced & possibly a slight knock to the price overall and I wouldn’t be able to fault it at all!

Starting with the concept to the whole idea of what this place offers it is just amazing. The owner is very open to discuss with the guests and offer the best options from food to taxis or even best hiking routes. The bedrooms actually look much better live than on the pictures. The bathroom amenities are quality and do not miss to go through the little yellow book it is guide and a small bit of history about the place. I would say it was above our expectations and once again well done for the owner for the whole concept. Great job and if we are back to Weymouth this is where we would like to stay.

There nothing we did not like.

We loved the decor and book theme throughout the hotel, great way to make it stand out. You can tell Steve has put a lot of effort into renovating it into a gorgeous hotel. He’s also in the middle of setting up an aircon system in the rooms which will be a massive bonus once up and running. Very comfortable large bed and clean en-suite with lovely shower. Breakfast was a nice light way to start the day, really enjoyed the barista coffee! Worth mentioning that we stayed in a room that faced onto the Wetherspoons and didn’t have any issues falling asleep as there are double sound proof windows blocking out any noise. I usually sleep with earbuds in but didn’t on this occasion and got to sleep very easily, I was only awoken in the morning (7am so not bad!) by barrel deliveries. We’ll definitely be back - hoping to book a room with a sea view next time :)

Steve was a wonderful host, and the hotel is lovely with very nice decor. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean, a very nice touch indeed. The hotel is in a wonderful place with everything within touching distance with some lovely places to visit. The breakfast was nice, along with the service from a great host that was always smiling and very polite.

The hotel is lovely and has so much going for it. The only grumble I could have is the price of the room, but you also need to remember you are paying for the location and experience.

The property has been thoroughly & tastefully renovated. Resulting in a wonderful Relaxing place to stay in a Fantastic Location. Steve & Sally could not of been more helpful. we will definitely be back. Leigh & Ness.

As with all other properties in good locations in Weymouth, Parking can be difficult.

Steve was an amazing host and extremely thoughtful. My husband and I were on our anniversary trip and casually mentioned it to him. Steve took note of that and sent an anniversary surprise to our hotel room - it was so unexpected and thoughtful. At breakfast the first day, I mentioned I liked a lot of sugar in my tea and Steve ensured we had loads on the table for the remaining 2 days! You can't beat that type of customer service. I will definitely go back to Chapter One Hotels if I'm ever in Weymouth.

Nothing, it was marvelous

We had an excellent stay at Chapter One, decor is very tasteful and we loved the book theme. Location was perfect for us, short walking distance from most of the eateries. Lovely view of the beach from our room & breakfast table, we enjoyed the continental breakfast, good choice of drinks & food, all nicely presented. The room was a good size, and very comfortable, good quality linen on the beds. Steve and his staff were all very welcoming, and friendly.

No negatives.

Immaculate & recently refurbished hotel with a real homey touch and artistic difference. The hotel is novel/cinema themed , rooms are all named after famous books. Woke up to an amazing smell of freshly baked croissants and coffee - all served in a super pretty 'library'-breakfast room. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, directed us to best sunset spot and dinner places around!

you need to check in before 10pm, no 24-hr reception + the breakfast is only italian style, ie coffee and bakery, other options available nearby outside the hotel

The room was lovely even though we had no view (we booked knowing this) and very spacious. The owner is extremely attentive and offered suggestions on places to visit, restaurant, and bars. Loved the theme, where the guests are the story, with each room being named after a famous book and the book was on the table for us to read!!!

Only complaint was the 10.30 check out!! Would've liked to have stayed longer but appreciate they need to turn the rooms around for the next guests

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and we were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The décor was stunning and the impeccable attention to detail throughout the hotel made it well worth its price. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Italian breakfast they served. It was a delightful way to start the day. It was evident that the hotel took pride in offering an authentic and enjoyable breakfast experience for its guests.
