The location is brilliant - you’re a short walk from all the main sites in Thurso - river walk, beach, town centre etc. The room was super clean and was refreshed every day of my stay. No breakfast is provided but the inn downstairs does great food.

T H E N O I S E! Beware if you go to bed early you’re right beside / on top of a very noisy and busy pub. Think rock / metal / indie ballads and naff dance tunes full volume till midnight. Then folk leaving and having to shout at each other as they’re all deaf due to the loud music…

Beds far too soft, not a good nights sleep. Vertical blinds let light in and woke us up early, maybe curtains, especially for summer. No shower shelf for toiletries, everything had to go on shower floor (and no shampoo provided)

Large room and comfy bed. The bonus for us was heated floor in bathroom. Central location and free parking. Below the room is pub and restaurant very handy for breakfast or dinner or drink.

Lady who show us the rooms was not friendly at all( bad first impression). Other staff in restaurant as its one business where nice to deal with.

I thought the staff were really friendly and accommodating. It was also in an excellent location (centre of Thurso). Nice and clean and cosy. I would definitely stay again.

I was a bit disappointed with the food (burger and chips).

The hotel is very centrally situated with good access to the town centre. The en-suite single room was small, but spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and quality toiletries in the bathroom. The busy restaurant serves a good selection of well prepared meals.

I was disappointed that I was unable to access wi-fi in the hotel, although others residents did. My ipad was not at fault, as the ipad connection worked elsewhere.

The property was very modern and comfortable and facilities were great. The security around the property was great and staff were lovely

Our room was directly above a bar and was quite loud with music until about 1am so struggled to get over to sleep for a short while.

A comfortable, no frills stop on the NC500. Really good food and vibe in the restaurant at Y’Not, and the Sizzling and Sharing platters were really popular. Good breakfast choices, including Eggs Balmoral (with haggis). The accommodation is very reasonably priced also and represents excellent value for money. Especially suitable for younger travellers looking for a “trendier” stop along the NC500.

There is a bar/music venue underneath the Inn, which wasn’t a problem for our stay (a Wednesday evening), but could potentially be a problem (in terms of noise levels) for a weekend stay.

Room was right size for a single room, bright big window, and had adequate comforts. Bed was comfy.

Couldn't seem to manage to get the shower cooler than hot. One of the ceiling lights was out.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant menu. Room tidied, tea/coffee replenished daily

A polite request for noisy neighbours (adjoining bar or other room guests?) to turn the volume down after 11pm ;-)
