Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa - Adults Only

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The room was impeccably clean, and the location was perfect, right across the beach. The highlight was definitely the Dune restaurant - the dining experience was simply amazing. I can't wait to come back again!

While I had a generally pleasant stay, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. Firstly, the reserved parking system seemed quite unorganized, causing some inconvenience. Secondly, the loud morning loading of beer barrels disturbed the tranquility of the place, and it would be great if this could be addressed. Lastly, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy and old, but they gave us a new, quieter one when we asked. These improvements would certainly enhance the overall guest experience.

The staff were all extremely efficient and very friendly. We had a problem with a damp smell in the room and it was resolved quickly and without inconveniencing us. The location is excellent and the food good. We loved the spa, pool and steam/sauna which was all immaculately clean and well managed.

Parking is an issue but with patience and perseverance you can find a spot. The interior layout is a bit strange as you have to go through the bar area to and from the swimming pool and sauna. A bit uncomfortable if you’re in a white robe. The menu choice in the restaurant and bar area is limited. The rooms are dated. Bathrooms with shower curtains and old fashioned fittings. We expected a bit more luxury for the price.

The staff, facilties, location, view and food were excellent

The economy room we were in was exceptionally warm (checked that the radiator wasn't on). There was a fan provided in the room, but that barely made much of a difference. We stayed on a fairly mild day in June and had to keep the fan on during the night, so I expect in mid-summer it would be quite uncomfortable.

Breakfast was really good, so much choice, hot and cold. All the staff were friendly, happy and helpful.. Especially Sarah the Maitre d' and Noah our waiter..

Only criticism was that you had to pay extra for a latte.. 😞..

Rooms spacious and pleasant with views of the beach. Staff were very good to excellent... singling out the breakfast team for particular praise. Breakfast food wonderful. Pool facilities were amazing! Softer pillows were promptly provided on request.

Parking a total pain as others have noted. Dune restaurant evening menu was not to our taste, and the dish that we did try was only ok. Cocktail selection in the gorgeous bar was disappointing. Only a few of the well-known classics appeared to be available on the menu. Of the house ones, the two of which we tried, we didn't think much of. The TV in the room was old and small, and the aerial wire needed attention to work.

Fistral Beach was a wonderful hotel. My partner and I really liked the high level of customer service we received. We felt comfortable and accommodated. We rented a private pool for an evening which was lovely. The staff went above and beyond to make it special. The room was huge with an even bigger bathroom with a shower and a bath tub. Breakfast was OK. I had the eggs Benedict and partner had a full English but the dinner is the star of the show! We had Wagyu burgers and triple cooked chips which tasted SO good. I don’t often like hotel dinners but this was one of the best burgers I’ve had. The view from the sea view room was great. Woke up to the sea each morning and could even hear the sea through our closed windows at night (was soothing to me but you may want a room on the opposite side if you prefer silence). The bar staff were also super friendly and accommodating. Overall really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Only issue we had was a little wait when we checked in as there was only one receptionist on duty but he compensated us with a complimentary glass of bubbles each so cannot complain!

The bed was very uncomfortable, too hard and the pillows too, though we did ask for softer ones which we got. The room was very small and we could hear noise from all different directs, like the corridor, the stairs and reception. Also one morning it sounded like a heard of elephants above us which I think was a fitness class. But this didn't ruin our stay we would definitely go back and just upgrade our room.

Excellent room fantastic view, lovely and clean a big 👍up to hospitality staff. All of the staff from the manager who was extremely professional and helpful, bar staff and a special mention to the staff in the Dune restaurant you were fantastic ❤️ . We stayed at the hotel from the 28th June -1st July - so management team check which staff were on duty on those days including yourselves because you all deserve a big 👍.

Parking extremely tight too many cars/large vans trying to park in a very small area🙁 gave me palpitations watching some people trying to park 😱. No safe in the room 🙁 having being a victim of an hotel robbery a fair few years ago makes me very nervous about leaving valuables in our room unless there is a safe - so ended up taking my handbag with me every time I left our room🙈although the manager on duty when we arrived offered for us to use the staff safe didn’t really feel comfortable with that - something to improve on I feel.🙂

The location and sea views are phenomenal, they have everything under one roof. The customer service was outstanding at all times, they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect.

Our spa treatment got reduced from 90 minutes to 60, it appeared that they wanted to fit more treatments in - which was disappointing as we wanted the full 90 minutes - we very specifically requested this and it was changed on the morning during breakfast. However, the staff were really friendly and the treatments we received were amazing the therapist was lovely. There was some hairs left in our bath that were from the previous guest.

We had a lovely sized room but opted not to pay extra for a sea view. There were full sized products to use (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc). The breakfast was brilliant, cooked options to order and tasted great, the staff were so warm and engaging (Luke especially). The spa was ok - the steam room wasn’t working unfortunately. We had a good treatment though. The bar in the evening was really nice fir a night cap. Very relaxed and chilled. Frankie on reception was so welcoming, always saying hello. It was a very friendly hotel with great staff.

It was a tiny bit tired in our room (loose grout in the bathroom).
