Angel Townhouse

The room was very nice and was well set up for a comfortable stay. The instructions for access were easy to follow. The jacuzzi bath is a nice touch.

The accommodation insisted on payment by bank transfer only (they don't take card payment) and also sent me a lot of WhatsApp messages asking for various pieces of information before my stay, including asking for information I had already provided through the Booking.com website.

Nice room, well furnished, warm and very clean. Quiet location and interestingly, there is plenty of free parking nearby after 1.30pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. Good shower. The Ginger & Mint Bar below was delightful and the breakfast was just superb.

Booking & communication a bit of a faff, as you have to pay separately by bank transfer and communicate via WhatsApp as no staff on site. Likewise the breakfast. Spa bath in the bedroom is a total waste of space & energy.

The location was great.Very quiet and perfect for our needs. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom and jacuzzi were great. It was very reasonable for London I would recommend this property and would stay again in cooler weather!

There was no air-conditioning and a fan wasn't available ( I requested one in advance). Since the room was on the second floor, it was unbearably hot.Fortunately we borrowed a fan from a friend. Admittedly, the temperature while we were there was exceptional, but with high temperatures becoming more common, the property would definitely benefit from a fan. It would also be nice to have some bedside lamps for reading.

Lovely room, great location, great acess

As its heart of London, walls a little thin so can hear everything next door if others there, fine with ear plugs though and would still use again and recommend!

What a curious place! Not on a main road, it is nestled in residential streets above a unoccupied pub. There is just a door which we were given instruction for key codes to get into the building and into our room. So no reception and we never saw any staff etc. But saying all that, it was a lovely room, stunning bathroom, all clean with tea/coffee making facilities. The location was just a short walk off Islington High Street and 5/10 mins from either Angel or Highbury tube stations. The High Street is a vibrant and bustling place with so many varieties of bars and clubs. It was an excellent place to stay. We will be going back.

There was no TV signal. All we could watch on TV was if we logged into an app, ie BBC iPlayer or such like. Even then the wifi kept dropping out. Not a big issue at all as we were out most of the time!!

It was a beautiful clean room, modern look and great decor. Loved the interior design so on trend. Had a kettle and tea making facilities. The jacuzzi was a perfect way to use this stay as a rest and recoup. As a busy mum and carer. Its important to take time out for yourself. Thankyou

As someone with back issues, I would have loved the key to the little balcony. It would have saved me from going in and out, for air. Being able to sit outside with my cuppa tea would have made the stay 100% perfect.

the location is great. It’s a beautiful room, great bathroom and shower. the owner was very responsive.

the quiet hours are 12-8 and the people above me used their jacuzzi or tub or something with a lot of water at 11:30. very thin walls, very noisy. the pigeons outside the window are undeterred by the spikes set up. so they were loud at sun up. Finally the mattress was not the worst and not the best. This is a me problem, but for some strange reason I assumed it was a hotel. Not sure why I thought this. it’s like a hotel without a front desk. No kitchenette etc. I guess that’s why I thought it was a hotel.

The style and comfort of the property were great, it was easy to access and location was good granted we know the area and have a son leaving around the corner. Value for money overall is excellent with a caveat.

Everything is managed through WhatsApp, there are no services on site, which was not an issue as far as getting into the property. However, you also need to request everything like breakfast or even cleaning of the room, which is Ok for a night but we had no cleaning of the room for 4 nights because we didn’t understand it had to be requested.

The decor was beautiful. Very stylish. The bath in the room was great and you could rotate the telly to view while soaking. Communication was excellent and video of how to get in useful.

The weather was boiling and the fan was not a substitute for aircon!!! My room was up two flights of stairs with my heavy case so I struggled. I found the bed very uncomfortable (soft) and hated the static and hot polyester bedding. I also could not get good Internet and couldn't work the bath and some other things. I was told that someone would have been on chat 24/7 but for me it wasn't a priority to use spa bath. Make sure you ask questions as they arise for a better stay!

Great location, clean room and good bath and shower. Decor was good. Above a nice café serving great coffee and juices. The linen and cushions were clean and tidy and felt nice. VERY keen price for the area. Contact with hosts excellent and friendly via whatsapp

Facilities a little tired with bath having been regrouted a number of times. Bed quite stiff The door to the balcony I couldn't work out how to open - wanted to dry an item of clothing in the sun. The TV appears just for show - there is no reception or subscription - I guess you could sign in on your own account but you'd have to make sure you deleted it when you leave.
