Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.location was brilliant.hotel was very clean

Our room was small for 2 people and a dog. Ceiling was very low felt a bit claustrophobic. No space to hang clothes only a small cupboard with 4 hangers as no room for any more because of the ironing board. No place to put suitcases so climbing over everything.

A beautiful, old worldly hotel. The service was amazing and the breakfast was great. We were not able to get into our room, however, until two after the check in time. We sat in the bar and had a drink or two in a lovely bar. It was disappointing not to be able to freshen up in our room but the Office Manager gave us free breakfast, a late checkout and waived the fee for our room service. It was not ideal to be two hours late getting to our room but the hotel made every attempt to make this up for us and did this professionally and respectfully.

Only the delay in check in.

We had one of the modern rooms on the ground floor, to the back of the building. It was well designed to give as much as possible to guests in a compact space. The bathroom and wardrobe area was especially genius using sliding units and foldable doors. Bed was comfy - great black out curtains for a perfect nice sleep. The main area of the hotel was as expected from a period hotel. Very classy and nicely decorated. The bar area was exceptionally nice, good design features. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. A varied buffet with unusual offerings in the cold buffet. Whilst slightly more expensive than average, it was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and polite. Great location near the town and Richmond Park.

Great location, near the Park, and easy walking to restaurants and buses. Comfy large bed and good shower. Great buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Onsite parking.

Parking is an extra charge. Room had limited storage and hanging for clothes, with just one small wardrobe. No chest of drawers and no hanging for suit hangers and long dresses (we were staying for a wedding,) The room was hot and airless. Essential to put the ac on all the time, but not an easy system to understand.

All staff were exceptional, attentive and friendly throughout our visit, from welcoming us on arrival to dining in the restaurant. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks in the restaurant, bar and terrace and all food and drinks were of a high standard. The location was fabulous and completely picturesque, like having the countryside in London. The park is a minute walk away and the station is fairly nearby.

We paid around £55 for breakfast for two people which I feel is overpriced. The breakfast buffet is around £20 per person but teas and coffees are not included. In addition to this, a service charge is charged on everything. This is fine but I don't think it should be charged on single items. The room is also quite small and slightly underwhelming in comparison to the other facilities and exterior.

For a Superior Double Room, the room was very small. We had to ask the hotel staff to collect an electric radiator and an ironing board because we did not have enough room to hang up our clothes or move around our room. We wonder what we would have got if we had not booked a “Superior Room”. Also by not booking direct with the hotel like others in our group we had to pay an extra £15 per day for car parking and roughly £44 for breakfast for the two of us. having booked three rooms this was costly.

Location is fantastic next to the park and wonderful views of the river. lounge and breakfast area was really clean and modern. The hilltop room was extremely comfortable with the soft pillows and duvets. Everything was clean lovely selection of tea/coffee (jasmine tea aswell). Breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. The lamb was really a picture, fine dining! wireless charging point in the room, large tv A modern room and Elemis toiletries! This was really luxurious and we had a peaceful sleep.

only one thing the ironing board is broken- iron was fine

Second stay here for our 1st wedding anniversary after staying here on our wedding night. It's a wonderful hotel, with lovely staff, rooms, bar and restaurant. The breakfast spread and quality is particularly good and the location for the park is simply unbeatable.

We paid for a deluxe room and perhaps were lured in by the name; we should have looked at their range more carefully. The room was fairly small, including a strange fold-out bathroom using a sliding partition and had a striking view...of the car park.

Great location for me attending a wedding at Pembroke lodge. If you go into Richmond it'll be a stiff walk up the hill to get back to the hotel. Breakfast buffet was really good. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

I booked through this web site so breakfast and parking were additional costs. The room / bathroom set up was odd. It requires sliding a wardrobe door and toilet doors to be adjusted to enclose bathroom & toilet.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like valued guests, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we were given an upgrade a spacious suite. The breakfast was first class with a great choice of everything you could with for. The location was perfect as we were attending a family wedding at Pembroke lodge in Richmond park a short distance away.

Not a single thing, everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we left.
