The pub is set in such a beautiful area and the best of location for walking, can ditch the car and find many different walks. We stayed in grace and it was a beautiful room with everything you can need. The room is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. Had a great nights sleep - it’s not often I can find somewhere that is as quiet as my home at night! Food in the pub was really good, massive portions and I loved that you could opt for a smaller dinner - this meant I could get through all the courses! Staff were super friendly - highly recommend. It’s been a great find and not far for us to travel to so will be making stays here a regular thing

The village of East Dean is beautiful and the pub is positioned on a pretty village green. On a very cold but bright January visit, the walking was superb. A circular walk directly from the pub over the seven sisters was wonderful in the sunshine. The evening meal in the pub was delicious and the staff were all extremely friendly. Breakfast was great; a delicious choice cooked to order and the staff were charming.

We were in the bedroom ‘Grace’ ,accessed from a door outside the pub. The room was very comfortable, but had no window. It wasn’t until the next morning that we realised there was a stable door opening. Consequently, the room was extremely hot, even on a cold January night, and it was difficult to sleep.

Location was perfect! Set in the centre of a very pretty village overlooking the green. Just a few minutes down to the coast by car at Birling Gap or around a half hour walk by footpath. Free car park just a minute away. Room was quiet, traditionally furnished and very well equipped with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. Front of house staff were friendly and helpful.

EVERYTHING - this is the most amazing place we’ve ever been so far!! where to begin? the staff was most welcoming and lovely, the breakfast was delicious, so was the dinner, the woodburning fireplace, the pub, the surroundings, the cozy cozy rooms, the bathtub… well it is perfect!! stay here if you can, we will for sure come again!!

Lovely, comfortable room with a good mix of historic character and modern features. The Tiger Inn is on the village green in East Dean - a lovely spot with some of the best walks in Southern England on its doorstep. Our room, Grace, opened out directly on to the green (and by extension the pub garden), but we never felt our privacy was compromised, nor were we disturbed by noise.

Lovely room great ,huge bathroom super shower, a very well stocked coffee & tea tray, it had everything you wanted and plenty of it . Super comfy bed ,lovely duck down duvet ,the fan is a great addition although the room has a lovely stable door ,you could have left the top open ,lovely looking out to the village green ,the room has its own access. My husband really enjoyed the craft, local beers .. Very enjoyable breakfast ,great choice .

Great location overlooking the Village green. The room is small but comfortable and the decor is traditional which is sympathetic to the Tiger Inn and the surrounding area. The curtains are heavy and keep out the light so had a good night’s sleep. Particularly liked the fact that the access to the room was not through the pub. Also although overlooking the green and the inn’s restaurant tables there was no late night noise. Adequate breakfast and good, reasonably priced food in the restaurant. The tables outside were ideal for a gin and tonic watching the sunset before tucking in to a good meal. Lots of good walks in the area and I was lucky enough to stay there in one of the few heat waves this year and walked to Birling Gap for a swim. All the staff I dealt with at the inn were very helpful.

Like the room the bathroom was small and just a bit tired for the price tag, but it was clean and functional so no big deal.

This is the second time I have stayed in this comfortable room at The Tiger Inn. The rate I paid was excellent value compared to my stay last July which not surprisingly was more expensive. Loved the peace and quiet on the village green and sitting in the Inn in front of the roaring fire. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. An ideal base for fantastic walks along the coast.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The room was so lovely, really comfortable and cosy and a nice big bathroom. The bed was very comfortable too! Every member of staff we spoke to was so friendly and helpful, making us feel so welcome. We had dinner in the pub in the evening which was excellent, and the breakfast the next day was delicious and so generous!! We even managed to have it outside on the green as the sun was shining. The location for walking is brilliant, you can walk down to Birling gap, to Beachy head, or much longer walks if you fancy. But if you don’t want a long walk, it’s only a 5 minute taxi to Beachy head where you can stroll down to see the lighthouse. We only stayed 1 night for my boyfriends birthday but we could have stayed much longer as it was so relaxing and such a beautiful setting. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Breakfast delicious and exceptional breakfast lady in charge - couldnt do enough for us.

We felt the evening menu choice wasnt that good. Having said that , the fish and chips were excellent
