Grounds are amazing .. small breakfast but satisfying

Room was a little empty... Cold feeling.. but still was good

great quirky design elements that are fresh and lively. The staff are great and helpful. a definite destination holiday with lots of instagrammable spots.

Breakfast service can be improved upon with clearing trollies per area and dedicated cleaners. we had to wait in line for about 15 minutes before a table became available. others waited longer.

Brand new hotel, beautiful pool next to a white sand beach. The rooms were a good size with nice balconies and comfortable beds. The gym was small but well equipped. Location is good, just a short walk to local bars and restaurants.

The hotel lacked The Standard vibe. All the ingredients are there but the atmosphere was flat. The breakfast was also a little disappointing, lots of choice but not necessarily the quality you expect from this brand.

i liked the set up, ambience and decor of the hotel. staff service was also good.

i wish the food was served hot, the soups and porridge was just lukewarm. that changed my mind about dining in the restaurants for other meals.

The rooms were great!! facilities are great!! The gym really amazing and the sauna just great!! Last time I was there, they had movies at night, I think that was an amazing touch, I loved it!! What, I really liked, was that even it was so busy! they manage to accommodate everybody and foremost, they extended the times. one thing that could possibly make the experience better would be. as the waiting time to get a seat is long, maybe offer some coffee, tea or juice? to make the waiting time feel not so long?

We're a couple in our 70s and stayed in a villa with our own pool which was fabulous. We stayed a week and ftom the minute we arrived after 6 weeks of travel we felt relaxed and cosseted. Housekeeping was done on a daily basis, glass bottled water replenished for free and coffee tea etc provided. Breakfast featured international choices, hot and cold etc. If one required something other than on offer it was prepared. The shared pool/bar area was spacious, continuously maintained throughout the day and evenings and access to the beach easy with a security guard posted day and night. All shared facilities were up to standard for such a resort. Tge bar food was great. An Italian restaurant and a Thai restaurant, housed in a heritage cottage, menus feature a variety of well prepared and and presented dishes. All staff were professional, most courteous and obliging with a great sense of humour.Dogs and children were very welcome and in no way impinged on our quite enjoyment. The spa staff were professional and it was a lovely experience, including the sauna. Step out of the resort and enjoy Thai shopping, entertainment and if you wish, meals and pampering. What's not to like?!

The villa with private pool. Location because its within walking distance to restaurants and also the night market. The Lido restaurant and room service was also good. I like that they have a theme for everyweek.

The instagrammers and people who just want to take photos. Ive stayed in many 5 stars hotel and luxe this is the first with so many people busy taking selfies and videos. Be careful you might be in one of their photos. Ah and there were filming when we stayed. some korean artists. The private villa also has it flaws that people can see you from the outside, it doesn’t have total privacy. They should put in the green shade to cover the plants.

It was immaculately clean, the poolside bar and restaurant served good food and allowed me to make adaptions to some dishes, it was right on the beach and walking distance to many bars and restaurants It was quiet in the sense that the rooms were quite insulated and I never once got hassled by the cleaners in the morning Seemed to be European owned which does make a difference

The amount of people posing for photos all the time (don’t they realise how ridiculous they look!). Obviously not the hotels fault as it probably happens everywhere The poolside bar ran out of cider even though I was there for a week drinking it everyday - they didn’t think to order some more in!!

The landscaping, gardens and décor are impeccable, very Instagram-y and you’ll see lots of people taking photos. The pool has shallow areas for children, there are lots of lounge chairs, there’s direct access to the beach. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and the restaurants and bar located within the resort offer good fare although at quite steep prices compared to what you will find elsewhere in the town.

I was there mid-week with not a lot of guests. I can see how it could get crowded at the pool/breakfast area with higher occupancy. A sauna might be a nice addition for a 5-star venue. I’ve seen a lot of criticism of the staff but they were friendly and polite throughout, even if they could’ve been a little more attentive around the pool. I got a Black Friday deal. I wouldn’t have paid regular price.

The Standard completely exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful - it is very large, has huge trees, and is beachfront. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and our waitresses there were always delightful. We didn't explore Hua Hin much but it's the perfect hotel for a few days of pure vacation/relaxation. Amazing!!!!

My stay at the standard was magical, but my only suggestion would be that they improve the lunch and dinner menu at the Western restaurant, as it is just basic Italian food and I would have liked to see some more unique recipes on there.
