Nice, clean, friendly people, way down to village is easy to take, good breakfast, meal in the evening as buffet is also nice. Everywhere somebody to help if necessary.

Beautiful large room with a balcony looking out at panorama of the mountains in Engelberg. Location was easily walkable from station and to gorgeous konditerei's, supermarkets for snacks and plenty of coffee shops/ restaurants nearby. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening which had lovely views over the town and the food was plentiful and a great buffet. The hotel seemed to be very family oriented with old school glamour. There was a quieter dining area for older children and smaller groups of adults as well as a large dining room where the buffet was which catered for larger groups. As well as the stunning location, genuinely of note were the Staff at the Terrace. They are a credit to the hotel management and all staff we met were warm, helpful and demonstrated high standards of customer service and care about their guests which really shone through. We really felt looked after and welcome throughout our stay. Thanks so much to Hotel Terrace team, especially the assistant manager receptionist who welcomed us guided us where to go to make the most of our short stay. We'd love to return for longer next time.

Nice view over watching whole town area. 5 mins walk to the train station. Although hotel is at higher ground, was surprised they have 2 connecting lift via a cave tunnel right up to the hotel. - 9°C and is feeling really warm in the room.

Can hear people talking from the next room. Either the wall is thin or the guest from the other room is talking too loud

We were updated to a better room in the newly renovated 'residence' as there were not many guests at the hotel. The terrace and location is lovely. Elevator into the city center. Feel of an old 'Grand Hotel' for an affordable price. Friendly staff

The hotel is clean but a bit dated - however quite atmospheric. The road up to the hotel is very narrow and windy up to the hotel. Dinner is a buffet - which was really good as well as good value (40 CHF including wine) but it would be nicer to have a sit-down meal with a set menu (less stressful)

Restaurant is not serving a la carte in the evening and the hotel is very old need some update. specially the corridor between the rooms. very dark and not very cosy.

We love everything abt the hotel. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Location was perfect, 10 mins walk from Train stn, 5 mins from Coop and the village. We love how the elevator brought us from the street up to their doorstep. The breakfast was fantastic too. We got the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the beautiful landscape.

Hotel Terrace is in an excellent location with the lift down right into the centre of Engelberg. Our room was a bit dated but perfectly clean, the hotel and staff were very nice and the breakfast was particularly great. The on-site sauna was closed but we could go to the Titlis resort and use their wellness area for free.

Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable, and the pillows were much too flat for my liking.

We were awestruck with the balcony view in our room. Location is exceptional. They have a tunnel system from the basement to hotel. Several restaurants nearby. Good value for money. Breakfast is too good, lots of varieties. The staffs were friendly. They were kind enough and allowed me to choose a room from 2 options.

They should have mentioned how to reach hotel. there is a lift from village to hotel I didn't know and had to walk the mountain hills with luggage

Corrally, the receptionist was exceptional. She was very friendly and highly professional and got us smoothly through a problem with our COVID certificates. The location is ideal. The free parking is convenient and appreciated, and the breakfast was very good.

Nothing significant. I would have liked having a refrigerator in the room.
