Sorell Hotel Sonnental

A nice, typical hotel of Swiss quality: Sparkling clean room and bathroom, very convenient shower, nice bed, not to soft not to hard matress, simple but beautiful room decoration and furniture. I had a standard room on the 2nd floor and it had everything needed. Restaurant was spacious, buffet breakfast was good and with good quality products (not the cheap type of salamis and cheeses some hotels offer). Staff was polite and efficient. Parking was free and convenient in the hotel premises. Reception staff was polite and helpful both when checked-in and out. Keep up the good work! Thank you for the nice stay!

It is very reasonably priced in my opinion compared to the prices of some others we had looked at before booking. The hotel itself has exceeded our expectations. Every staff member we have encountered has been wonderful and helpful. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable - the beds are the perfect softness and the pillows and bedding is very lovely to sleep on. It is a nice and quiet area so even with the windows open we had a great sleep. The temperature is very warm at the moment (June) and the room got a little too warm for us so we asked for a fan at reception and they kindly brought one to our room. Amazing customer service. The breakfast is lovely with a wide variety of tea, coffee and fruit juices, fresh fruit, continental and cooked breakfast items along with patries, breads meats and cheeses. Perfect choice for a buffet breakfast. We have eaten at the hotel restaurant in the evening whilst staying here and the food is also delicious and high quality. We have travelled from England to Zurich to watch a concert at The Hall which is not too far away (around a 7 min walk from the hotel) which is a fantastic location if you need somewhere close by to stay after a concert. We went on a tour of Zurich on our first day here and were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find our way back to the hotel. The public transport networks here are very easy to use and destinations are well displayed throughout the journey. (The tram you need to take from Zurich to Stettbach Station which is the closest to the hotel - around a 10 min walk away - is the solid black number 7 tram and ride it to the very last stop.. there are other number 7's with other colours and letters infront so be careful not to get the wrong one) I would highly recommend staying here and if there was ever another opportunity to return to Zurich in the future we would certainly be staying here again.

The only thing I could comment on would be that there is no aircon in the room we stayed in, but once we had a fan in our room it was fine.

My 2nd time there: all good like the first time. Sparkling clean room and bathroom, nice furniture, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, etc. Rich breakfast, really enjoyed the pancakes with the marple syrup! Parking (free) also very convenient. The hotel is very well kept in every detail; keep up the good job you are doing there :-)

Last time I was there (3 years ago?) the hotel had spa facilities but had no time to use them. This time I managed to arrive earlier to enjoy and relax but, alas, the spa facilities are not offered any more. I hope someday the will start them again.

Great location if you travel by car - close enough to the main highway and Zurich city center. The Zoo is only 5 km away by car and there are also excellent connections with public transport. Around the hotel building there are many parking places for free. The double room was comfortable, very clean, big bathroom full with amenities. The personnel is very kind and helpful. Every morning abundant breakfast is offered to the guests. The restaurant offers interesting menu for lunch and dinner too.

Amazing hotel in great location just outside Zurich. Easy, free parking, with short walk to train station then 6 minute ride to Zurich opera house station with no other stops. Kids jumped right on the cool dragon playground, restaurant was welcoming even though we arrived late for dinner. Included hotel breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Hotel staff was incredibly helpful, hotel room was roomy (three beds and space to spare). Hotel front desk can sell 24h train tickets to make travel to Zurich easy. WE LOVED OUR STAY!!!!!

The staff at Sorell Hotel Sonnental were very friendly and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable space to relax. The facilities were modern and up to date, providing all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

I didn't like that the hotel was a bit far from some popular tourist attractions, making it somewhat inconvenient for sightseeing. Additionally, while the beds were comfortable, they could have been slightly more so for an even better night's sleep.

The property is 5 min walking distance from Stettbach train station from where Zurich HB is only 9 min away. Very convenient to stay close to Zurich and enjoy a nice hotel at more reasonable price.

Like most hotels in Switzerland, this hotel has no air conditioning or any ceiling fan. This summer is exceptionally hot and humid, causing sleeping discomfort. However the hotel staff brought a pedestal fan which helped a lot. All the hotel staff are exceptional to keep the guests comfortable.

On the first day we got a small room for a single person (we order a room for two persons). But the next day the lovely person in the reception desk named Sebastian fixed the problem and upgrade the room. We would like to note the excellent service and attention from all the staff and especially from Sebastian, that he was very professional and kind. Sebastian gave us very good touring tips. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Room was very comfortable. We recommend the Sorell hotel Sonnental with all our heart

I've stayed here several times due to the Hotel's ideal proximity to The Hall concert venue. The Hotel is within walking distance of the Stettbach train station, so we always arrive using public transportation, even though they have ample parking spaces. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean and had nice amenities. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable so we slept well. Breakfast is varied, and the staff make sure there is always plenty available to guests. Check-in and check-out is fast and the Staff are SO welcoming and kind!

I have no criticisms.

Clean room and a nice bed. Coffee machine and bottles of water in the room complimentary. Showerroom has all needed accessories and Ritual parfume. Location with a good tram connection. Bar and restaurent very nice. Good breakfast.

Smells strange in corridors, noisy neighbours fighting in the night were heard even through the earplugs so good isolation is not a fact. Wellness is many years closed. Didn't expect that.
