Very functionally designed rooms. Minimalist style, but all work and sufficient. Central location is superb. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fresh and good, coffee is tasty, makes a pleasant start for a day. Specially appreciated the included Basel Card (free travel on public transport + discounts in museums, etc.). Parking options - info: 1. Garage: ca 19 CHF, easy and good for cars with limited height 2. Street parking (blue marked area, pay-parking 8-19, excl. Sunday): sometimes very difficult to find close. It cost ca 20 CHF for full day, if you buy at TNW ticket machine. However, you can buy "visitor parking" online for 10 CHF/day, for any pre-selected day. In the hotel you could print the label to place in the window of the car. (Advantage of option 2: can be used at ANY blue parking of any part of the city during validity.

Not far from centre, easily got to by number 11 tram passing the hotel on route get off over the bridge. Received the travel card in hotel for free transport, apparently can just show your hotel confirmation to get on at arrival, but not once did we have to show the pass on all our tram rides. Use of hotels Swiss adapter with a refundable bond.

Curtain to pull across room for privacy from exiting shower but the main door is next to shower, (hoping no room assistants walk in). No kettle in room, but there is a kettle and microwave in reception. Room was to hot at night, couldn't open window.

room is generally clean, and quiet. The staff is very, very, very helpfull.thanks especially for Anca. Great staff! breakfast is a buffet, varied and sufficient. In the restaurant, again, very helpfull staff. All.the beds are good, you can rest well.the entrance hall is beautiful, you can find drinks, snacks and an ironing area there. A good think.

many objects are old and show signs of age, the door, window mechanism,the mechanism of the air conditioning system.the mechanism of the air conditioning system.it can be seen that they have had better days.I reported the problems to the staff, and some were solved immediately. others need more time. The room is very small.the towels are old and worn, but clean.

The hotel is in a great location, situated around a 10 minute simple walk from Basel SBB Railway Station. Check in was straight forward, and we received a free travel pass around the city for the following day during check in which was nice. Rooms are what you expect. Small & basic, but it is perfect is you are planning to explore the city during the day or if you need to put your head down for just one night like ourselves. Shower was powerful and hot, no issues there. Member of staff was very helpful when we realised that Switzerland doesn't use the same plug sockets as most other EU countries and our adaptors wouldn't work. We explained the situation at reception and she kindly borrowed us two in exchange for a deposit (either cash or in our case ID), which was returned when we returned the adaptors. Overall, the stay met expectations and for the price, it was perfect. Stayed in several ibis Budgets, and you know what you are getting and it is perfect for the price bracket.

Very good location, easy to go anywhere to the city. Safe surroundings. It is a comfortable, convenient and clean accommodation. It has a good offer for breakfast. We have been few times in this hotel and it has always showed a good standard of service and cleanness.

The rooms are a bit too narrow, specially for three persons, as we traveled. You need to be very confortable with your travel companion to share these rooms. We were in the third (or fourth) floor and we could hear the noise from the trains in the tracks leaving or arriving to the train station. Not too loud but noticeable. It is better if you are located in upper floors because the noise doesn't get that high.

Very good value for money when staying in typically-expensive Swiss hotels. We stayed in a triple room as three friends for one night, but dividing the price between three people actually makes this hotel very affordable. The room was perfect for everything we needed, beds very comfortable and while small, also functional. Staff were lovely and welcoming, they provided us with luggage storage after checkout. Baselcard is included with the stay, a fantastic card with free public transport and lots of museum discounts which were well-used. Definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Basel!

Bathroom (or lack of) design was unusual, with the shower independent from the sink and mirror. Toilet in an independent room. The shower, sink and mirror are separated from the rest of the room by a curtain, which was fine but meant that water would often spill out when using the shower.

Great value for money, good location, overall quiet, comfortable beds. Nice to have blinds and pull down black out blind as well - nice and dark. The location and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

No light in the WC or at least we couldn’t find it. Finger pull in the shower = hole im the door - water leaks out when shower on and water on the floor. Some historic stains on window frame and walls - easily cleaned up with a wet cloth by us. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. But lots of nudges in corridor to be quiet and luckily we had respectful neighbours.

The hotel was close to the station which is what we needed. It has great links to the city center with the tram (it takes around 5 minutes). The hotel staff were fantastic and super helpful. They also give you Basel cards so you can take the tram for free and you have discounts on local attractions which comes in really handy. The room was ok, had everything that we needed and clean.

The size of the room was particularly small. It can barely fit 2 people let alone 3 (as it was a room with 3 beds). It is ok for 1 night but it can be inconvenient if you stay for more nights. The shower door does not close all the way which means that water from the shower goes out and into your tiny room. They have small EU sockets mainly in one spot in the room which did not fit the usual adapters that they sell at the airports (UK to EU adapter or US to EU adapter). This was extremely inconvenient as we could not use them at all and we were charging our phones from the power bank. I am surprised they did not consider this whilst having so many international travellers!

The room was compact but very clean and had everything one would need for a couple of night’s stay. The location is very close to Basel SBB only 2 stops away. We were given a choice between a room with a view or a quiet room away from the tracks, we opted for ‘no view’ and had a peaceful stay. This was the first budget hotel we’ve stayed in after travelling around Europe using 3 and 4-star accomodation and we’re pleasantly impressed with the room, friendliness of staff, housekeeping service and facilities. We paid for breakfast as this was an optional extra and we were very satisfied with their buffet spread. There is a microwave and a vending machine for snacks, drinks and coffee/chocolate at the lobby if you choose to bring your own food. They also gave us the Basel public transport pass to use during our stay which was of great value for us wanting to do all the touristy things around Basel.

Nothing really, but if I had to pick something it’ll probably be the toilet in the room, as it felt like you are sitting inside a cupboard/cabinet when you’re inside. I guess it’s still better than having a shared bathroom.

Right next to many tram stations. Within walking distance to the city center (approximately 15 minutes). Breakfast was generous and delicious. The staff were very friendly. Whenever I needed to ask them questions or request things, they promptly helped me. They explained everything to me about the Basel card, which is included and grants you many discounts and access to public transport.

They offer tea, but it can be confusing because you have to ask for cups, and I wasn't sure where to fill the electric kettle. The room is small, so the toilet area can feel a bit exposed. Not a problem for couples I guess.
