Hotel Torre de Sila

Hotel Torre de Sila is perfectly located a short drive from the motorway and just on the edge of the centre of town - meaning everything is really accessible and yet the place is a haven of tranquility! Perfect!

Parking is 'on street', but once parked the cars are overlooked by the hotel and by many of the rooms. A nice secure area in any case, but not the same as having secure parking.

Value for money. Breakfast was cold meats, cakes, cheese, orange juice and coffee. Something warm like scrambled egg or tortilla would have been good. Was quite well placed for us.

We weren't informed that the restaurant was closed and as it was festival week we found it difficult to get an evening meal so made do with tapas which after a days cycling wasn't ideal.

Very good location and comfortable room.

The fact that the booking was mis-recorded by the hotel. Our booking was for 29/10/23 but they had recorded the booking as for 29/12/23 despite the fact that we had paid for the booking in advance. This caused a delay when we arrived at the hotel.

Location is central, easy to find and with good parking Room was comfortable and very clean

Lighting in the corridor : delayed action automatic switches meant you had to walk halfway down a totally dark passage waving your arms madly before a meagre light was turned on!

Very clean and quiet! It has 24 hours desk which was the main reason we stopped there as we arrived very late.

There is a caffettiera for a quick small breakfast but it had little options and not fresh croissants.

Breakfast was not available, restaurant closed during our stay

Not very much, the view from our bedroom was just of the back of buildings but not much that could be done about that as we were in a city

The hotel and guest rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The location is next to the coach terminal, with public parking directly outside the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly, and changed our initial room for a non-smoking room. There was a good buffet breakfast, and several restaurants nearby for dinner.

We have no complaints; the hotel is fine for an overnight stay when traveling.

Breakfast was good, hotel was very clean, bathroom was spacious.

Mattrass could be replaced. Wifi was very slow. No secure parking (needed to park on the street, but public parking is free).

Clean, way to find, very helpful staff, great breakfast, free public parking, walking distance to food choices in the area.

In general, I liked everything ....

The bartender is the same as the receptionist. This causes you to wait too long at reception and at the bar.
