Wow! A superb experience and a wonderful place for my first visit to Sevilla. The hotel is in the narrow cobbled streets of the Santa Cruz district-the area with the cathedral, the royal palace and several other key tourist sites. The closest of these is Pilate's House, a ducal palace with beautiful courtyards and gardens. The man at reception spoke for or five different languages-Spanish, English, French, Italian...He was So friendly and helpful. He gave me city maps and lots of useful information*about what see and where to eat. He showed me on the maps which sites were 5 minutes' walk away, then 10 minutes, 20 and so on. I could also buy tourist bus tickets at the hotel if required. The hotel has real character and class. It must have been a private villa once, with a grand covered inner courtyard and lots of period furniture and features. My suite was fantastic-very spacious, a huge and comfortable double bed, air con, a big bath/shower room...even a private roof balcony! I slept very well as there was little or no overnight noise. There was free tea and coffee on-the-go from noon till 10.00 pm and lots of comfy chairs in the hall to relax with a cuppa. Breakfast was superb too. The hotel has a very sensible policy that guests hand their room keys to reception every time they go out, thus avoiding any lost key dramas. I really felt at home. I can't wait to stay at this hotel again... *PS Sevilla city has made itself very tech-friendly, with bar codes galore giving visitors access to lots of information at hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions.

It's seems hard to criticise the staff for anything after such a great stay, but... The kitchen/breakfast room chairs were not very comfortable-hard wood with no cushion or soft surface to sit on. I wonder if they had closed the roof terrace? I'm sure there was one and the views from up there must be quite something.

A small hotel in the historical centre of Seville with an amazing athmosphere. Outstanding service by the staff, especially helping us eith the suitcases the air carrier supplied after us. They always had a smile and some good words and also good advices as where to go what to see or even where to eat. Very good breakfast to start the day, really good coffee. Clean up to the maximum, and super comfortable bed that offered us best sleep after walking around in city. Really in wlaking distance to all attractions, but also just to explore Seville an amazingly nice city. No question next time we are here this is the hotel to stay in.

That after a time we had to leave.

It is an older historic building who’s has been keep up very well. The room was smaller than expected but had a very nice bathroom and everything looked clean. The breakfast had cereal, breads, pastries, Juices, boiled eggs, yogurt and a great Nespresso coffee maker for cappuccinos and more. Loved the hot milk for your coffees. The staff was incredible. They helped with everything. They even put out some breakfast early when we had to leave early. All in all I would recommend this hotel. Easy walk to the Old town and to the Alcazar Palace and Cathedral and Tower.

The pillows could of been better.

Set in the old town area of Seville the hotel is superbly located for visiting all the historic sites. The immediate area has an abundance of bars and restaurants just a few steps away. The hotel is very much in the traditional Andalusian style, set around and internal courtyard, or patio. The decor and finishes are equally traditional with wrought iron balconies, tiled floors and plants everywhere. The staff are pleasant and very helpful while quietly going about their work. The best hotel on our three-centre trip!

Nothing springs to mind!

Location, Location, Location. hotel Abanico was a cute, charming place to stay in. The staff was friendly, respectful, and helpful. The streets in Seville are barrow. Keep that in mind and don’t blame the place. The price was great. Don’t expect a flashy, modern, blah blah chain hotel. The hotel was very close to everything. About 10-15 minutes to Real Alcazar, La Giralda. Seville is a lovely place to visit. I will stay back here when I get the chance to visit more of Sevilla.

The government has set controls of usage of ACs that started in August 2022, and will last until November 2023. The AC was working properly mostly in the morning, afternoon, but turned off or controlled to match the nice outdoors temperature. The room felt hot after a long day in the summer weather of Seville, but guess what, open the windows: problem solved.

Hotel Abanico was a pleasure from start to finish - gorgeous building and our room was lovely - really classical and stylish, very different to a boring modern hotel, and with a beautiful Spanish courtyard. And it's in a lovely location too, right in the heart of old Seville, everything is close by the Alcázar and Cathedral are very close, as are many bars and shops (but it is family friendly) and there is wonderful bakery (Panypiu) just a few minutes walk which I would highly recommend.

The hotel is centrally located to visit as much as possible in Seville. Lovely décor to match the location within the Old Town. Free tea/coffee nearly all day long. Room was large enough for the three of us.

Wifi was totally disaster. I had to go out of our room and stay in the common area or reception area in order to make use of wifi. This may be due to the location of our room being on the second floor (room 203). Breakfast could be better.

We could not praise the staff more highly for their friendly and helpful attention. Nothing was too much trouble. The building was an architectural masterpiece and it was a joy to sit and read in the peaceful calm of the central court.

It was sad that due to the nature of the building's design it was not possible to have a view from the window. On the upside, as a consequence, there was no noise disturbance. On reflection we wished we had spent more time in the hotel but the demands of time and the many Seville attractions kept us away.

This is a delightful small hotel in the old city. About 20 mins walk from the cathedral, through interesting streets with lots of eateries. It is slightly off the beaten track, which is a plus. Very quiet at night. The building is as declared, an old house with some steep stairs but with a lift. Décor to match, which we liked very much. Good breakfast @10 euros available, with free coffee at almost any hour. No other meals.

Really, no problems apart from a taxi strike on departure!

Location to all the sites, well within a few minutes walking distance. Free coffee all day in the breakfast buffet area. Plenty of tapas bars and restaurants close by. Our twin room was actually large enough to walk around in, instead of just being a shoe box. Nice walk-in shower and proper large bath towels. The interactive information screen by reception is a nice touch. Would recommend..
