The rooms were very spacious and kept clean throughout. Cleaning staff were super on it and very helpful. The views from the rooms were lovely (had a limited sea view). the hotel is in quiet and relaxing part of retamar. Great connections with Bus between Almeria center and airport!

We didn't like that our room water bottles were not stocked up on daily basis, but instead is only provided on arrival. We also were surprised that the hotel doesnt provide kettle and complimentary teas/coffee in the room, especially as that is very unusual to not have nowadays, (I appreciate we have breakfast and coffee is free there but not everyone can drink all the drinks at once) - HOWEVER, despite this i would still recommend this hotel and return to it in the future.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, amazing pools, nice spa, small gym and comfy rooms/beds. I very much enjoyed my stay. The reception team was very friendly, the breakfast and the three pools were very nice. I also enjoyed my massage. The gym is small but functional. There is live music every night and some mostly non-intrusive entertainment throughout the day like petanque, dance lessons, water gymnastics, yoga etc.

I didn't enjoy the bingo by the pool at 5 p.m. every day. Very annoying, very loud. The service and offer at the snack bar was a little inconsistent. The guy didn't speak any English and every time I ordered a soft drink I got a different size (for the same prize). The food was similar, the same dish looked very different depending on who was doing the cooking. Not bad overall but just a little bit annoying.

The staff were fabulously helpful. We had a redirected flight from Malaga and ended up here because we didn't have much choice. We booked at very short notice, and took a cab and arrived at after midnight tired. The staff were very helpful, very friendly, and made our check-in super easy. The hotel is clean, spacious, and very modern. The rooms are a very good size, and the sea view rooms stare over the lit up pools and make for very nice accommodation. The beds are fantastic, massive and comfy. I only scored the location down because we were supposed to be on Malaga. In all fairness, we didn't see any Almeria as we headed off in the morning to our holiday destination.

The fact they didn't have food options after midnight wasn't brilliant as we were all very hungry.

Massive room, comfortable bed, nice quality bedding, good shower. Breakfast is good. Dinner is good as well, apart from deserts which were all the same. The swimming pool area is nice. Sea is great, but has pebble stones beach - if you wish to swim worth taking the swim shoes.

Dinner 8pm-9:30pm, which felt a bit late. Cocktails are rubbish - 8 euros for virgin pina colada, which was just ice cubes, pineapple juice and about a tablespoon of coconut cream. Must have half board, as nothing in the area.

Great hotel, esp for families. Room was big and comfortable and always clean. Restaurant was clean and spacious and the choices were quite extensive, esp at breakfast. Pool areas were particularly excellent - 4 pools on different levels with lots of space for loungers etc; great pools for kids at either end. The kids club was also great and very active. Nice quiet beach just a few hundred metres away too!

Small improvements would be welcome. Didn’t spoil the stay in any way but would have been nice - e.g. a bin in the bedroom (only had a very small one in bathroom); better Wi-Fi; free parking rather than €15 a day; opening the Arrozante restaurant for dinner more often so that there is an alternative on site. Also noted the pools were quite slippy at the shallow end, which was a little dangerous for kids - but hopefully could be addressed easily.

Very friendly staff, beautiful sea view, rich breakfast buffet. We got there during a "rush-hour" of check-ins and were quite surprised that we had to queue, but within a minute someone came over to explain the situation (Spanish film awards were taking place that night and the hotel was full of film industry people). When we got to the check-in counter we were told we were upgraded to a suite, which was so nice our daughter refused to leave the next day.

Nothing really.

- The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. - Very big room with a comfortable bed, very clean, large bathroom, good hot water, view over pool & coast - Good breakfast choice at the buffet - Easy bus ride to airport or Almeria - Right on the coast so easy access to nice coastal path for walks and runs

- More transparent information on when swimming pools are open would have been good. Friday and Sunday only the smaller shallow pool was open. - There was no heated pool - it was broken but there was no clear information on this. These things happen but good to let the guests know on checking in. It was a cold, windy time of year! - The snack bar is eye-wateringly expensive! But luckily there are places in walking distance in the town you can go for a drink with free tapa.

It is a lovely hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views, we were only there the night and went out to see friends, but I'm sure it would have been even better if we had used all the facilities

There was a terrible dust storm come over from Africa, not the hotels fault, but we had no internet, it kept dropping out, so it meant that I couldn't work, which I needed to do. There didn't seem anything they could do about that. Also, there was no list of contact numbers to call, so we struggled to get room service, I couldn't call the front desk as I didn't have their number and ended up coming down to reception 2-3 times to get things sorted out, which was frustrating and could have been sorted with contact details being available in the room for room service, etc.

A great hotel! The location was perfect. The breakfast was amazing. The amenities of the hotel are great. the pool fantastic. The kids club super fun. A great place for families.

The only thing I can think of that the hotel can improve is the labeling of the food at the breakfast. They would have the labels in the wrong places versus the food that it was related to. But again, I had to think hard about it. Everything was amazing.

superb location for me to explore Cabo de gata - clean - super room and breakfast had everything I needed for this time of year and purpose of visit

nothing for me but could see the fact that 3 pools were out of bounds - snack bar closed etc might bother others. if you’re going to a Spanish hotel ‘out of season’ expect certain things which are reflected in the price - which was very good value. I’ve also seen remarks giving negative about lack of kettles and tea and coffee in rooms - having been coming for 20 years to hotels here I can’t recall a single hotel that has that.
