Hostal La Fosca

The room had a very nice design I really enjoyed, nothing too much but well done. Breakfast was wonderful. I enjoyed the people around me and their way of serving guests. It was a nice experience and left a good and welcoming impression. The location was perfect - you could run nearly naked directly from bed to the sea. Going out the house first is the beach you see. There was also a nice balcony with a roof to sit and enjoy the storm outside when it was raining. Definitely recommended as silent and a good place for nonseason. They also sell the local wine what I enjoyed a lot.

The water pressure in the shower was very week.

the placement is wonderful, the staff more than friendly. The bonus advantage is that the drinks, icecreams, etc are directly put into the room account so our daughters could order something to drink or icecreams when we we walking and we didn't have to have any money on us while on the beach. The breakfast provide a lot of choice of different food - sweet and salty, a selection of fruit juices and teas - everything is very tasty. The private parking is very big and in a pine forest so there is plenty of shadow and the cars don't get too hot - very important when it's sunny!

The bathrooms are tiny and the shower curtain has a tendency to stick to your back. Also the water is everywhere while taking a shower so great care must be taken to provide for additional rugs to remove the water from the bathroom. But it didn't disturb us a lot.

The location, staff, breakfasts were all excellent 👌 . I love how easy it is to go for an early morning swim in such deliciously cool aquamarine water. Parking is easy and under cool pines. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great with many of the ingredients produced locally by the hostal's own company.

I got bitten a few times by mosquitos one night, but there was a member of staff available in the early hours of the morning who supplied me with a very successful fly spray.

Location fantastic, right on the beach. Nice staff and good restaurant. Bed a bit hard and no aircon so the sleep was not perfect. Overall very good value. We can recomend.

As I said no aircon is hard when you try to sleep. The hotel is only 2 stars so that is what you can expext. It did have a fan.

Wow! Just Wow! The view and location are a dream and the food in the resturant is brilliant. I was very impressed by the environmental awareness and everything over all. The rooms are clean and in good order. This is very much a hostel and not a hotel. If the rooms were updated this place would be perfection.

Rooms could use updating

rooms are clean and basic ...the shower and toilet are clean but the shower is basic but adequate the location is perfect just in front of the beach so very easy access. the breakfast is very good, coffee excellent and that is a plus because coffee in most hotel restaurants these days is terrible out of those awful automated machines where as the coffee at hostel la Fosca is authentic which makes a welcome change

the shower tray is quite small making it virtually impossible to shower without getting water all over the floor because there is just a shower curtain which sticks to you when showering but its not a dramatic problem it is just slightly irritating. We had a room with a balcony which was nice but it just needs a shade from the sun like the other balcony rooms which all had wall mounted shaders that retract and this was the only room that did not have it but the shape of the balcony was unconventional so just a parasol next to the table would suffice

The location is amazing, right on the beach. We could fall asleep with the sound of the waves. There was free parking near the hotel which was very convenient. In the room we had towels, the basic toiletries and lots of plugs. The buffet breakfast was good but it lacked seasonal fruits, yoghurt and the cereal selection was a bit poor. The food for dinner was also good, and as a guest we got a 10% discount. All in all it's good value for money, if you don't spend a lot of time in the room, because the location is spectacular.

We stayed in a room without balcony and we only had a small window in our room which only opened half way. This made the room a bit warm at times. The bathroom didn't have any ventilation either which didn't help because all the steam after a shower went into the room. The rooms weren't very "modern" and a little bit of a touch up wouldn't hurt.

Great location right on the beach, simple rooms, clean and tidy. Breakfast, included in the price, was very good, plenty of choice. Easy to walk along the coast to beautiful coves and beaches or in to Palamós, car is not needed for a short stay.

As others have said, the showers are tiny and dated, but adequate and kept spotlessly clean

Provided bed for the dog and and food bowl. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Beautiful view from the restaurant of the sea.

Essential but perfectly located hostel right on the beach. Good, crucial facilities, delicious breakfast included in the room rate and a very nice restaurant for lunch and dinner.

The beds could be more comfortable.
