Hotel Mainare Playa

Nice clean hotel with very good amenities, in particular the pool area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size and the balcony was lovely for chilling in the afternoon

If you there for the nightlife and watersport activities, this hotel may be a little far away as it’s about a 30 minute walk to the bars and clubs

Clean, convenient, friendly staff

Cleaners left balcony door open which anyone could jump over balcony and get in. Smoking area in morning is just outside on the steps, I feel the closed off seating area by pool could be used instead of the hotel just having smokers out the front before 10am

The rooms are huge with plenty of room even with an extra bed. The pool gets the sun all day. Happy hour 5-6pm.

We had a room with front sea view on an upper floor. This was very nice. The rooms are quite big and the terrace is fantastic. The hotel has nearly direct acces to the "paseo maritimo", the location is very good to go out for diner or to get to the beach.

Great hotel to stay. Delicious breakfasts, good location and beautiful window view. All the staff is nice, friendly and helpful. It's especially heartwarming that the receptionist, Lana, went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable by sharing insights about the local culture and recommending nice places to visit. The room was always cleaned good. Short way to the beach and plenty of bars and cafes near the sea to enjoy. Excellent transport connection. Easy to get to nearby cities, Malaga and airport by train. If the taxi is needed - the staff also helps with ordering. We enjoyed our stay a lot :)

The location is very good, just cross the road, and you have a nice place at the beach. A lot of restaurants around and quite place, far way from the "Drunk English party people". The place it is just 20 min from the Malaga. Very big room and good beds. Very clean and great sower. The swimming pool was very clean and super nice to spend the afternoon there with a great cocktail from the pool bar with a great deal "Happy hours" 2 drinks, and you pay 1. We loved ;-) The stuffs, very helpful and friendly. I will for sure be back.

The location is great, the beachfront is a 2 minute walk (if that!) along with all of the beachfront restaurants. There’s a corner shop less than 30 second walk also. Daily room service was great, staff friendly and spoke English.

We were on the second to top floor, which was a pain as the two lifts were small and took a while to use. The corridors are also v hot (no aircon) when waiting for the lift.

The closeness to the beach and the size of the rooms. The staff helped whenever they could and they were very friendly. Our aunt was staying next door to us and found ants in the bathroom, but the staff immediately came and fixed that. She was very impressed with the speediness of their help

The wifi was really bad and spotty at the best of times. Also there was only one socket in the entire room and was awkward trying to charge both phones at the same time.

fantastic location! great view! near loads of bars and restaurants and shops! very Spanish feel with a mix of English speaking! the pool was very calming and had sun all day! The rooms were big and clean! The bar man was very nice and made excellent cocktails! overall the stay was very pleasant

It is a non smoking hotel which they don’t broadcast when booking! you are not allowed to smoke on your own balcony however you are allowed to smoke at the pool, the front door of the hotel, or anywhere else that is not your room or balcony. i could never understand this as it doenst make sense how you can’t smoke in your own private balcony but could bother other people(children including) while smoking right beside them at the pool!

Location was great short walk to the beach where you will find a good selection of restaurants & bars a nice walk to the centre of Fuengirola which takes about 45mins along the coast or a bus stop close to the hotel will take about 15-20 mins.

One small negative would be no tea/coffee making Facilities in the rooms although they do have a coffee machine on the ground floor which is payable.
