Sercotel Hotel Europa

Great location close to town and Concha beach. Better view than expected from top floor room, comfortable bed and lovely modern shower room with very good toiletry extras (toothbrush and paste, comb etc). Breakfast extra but very good value for range of cooked and other options. Helpful and welcoming staff.

Didn’t affect us directly but at side of hotel there was a glass door to the breakfast cafe. It was locked but at breakfast and other times we saw people try and enter the cafe or hotel that way, and give up when locked. There should be a sign there as to where main entrance is. Laminate floor in bedroom functional but not what I expected from hotel of this standard

The Apartment gave us full flexibility to relax in a bigger space than just 1 hotel room. Kitchen area good and living room a great size. Location perfect to see all San Seb attractions with majority in our walking distance..Loved the sun on the little balcony so could sit by the windows and about the warmth. Great heating system too.

For 5 days stay would expect a change of towels or a room clean service offer.....or a message to check all is ok. I did ask for more bathroom items and the receptionist was very ameniable to assist. Would also think coffee sachets, biscuits, water or a mini welcome pack in the apartment would be a great welcoming touch.

Fantastic location , just few meters walking distance to La concha , The hotel has a parking lot very close, it is public but there is a place for the people who stay at the hotel, around the hotel there are many restaurants to have breakfast or eat something. super friendly and helpful employees

I think the bathrooms in the rooms need to be remodeled, they work perfectly, but the shower looks old

The hotel is located in very perfect location: 100 meter away for the best city beach in San Sebastia,. 10 minutes walk through beuatihful promenade to city centre and old town. The hotel it self is very quite, you could not hear neither neighboards nor street. In the room was also water boiler and couple of tee and coffe for free, which is bonus point.

Just an advice: the water is drinkable but not tasty so much. I would recommend to buy drinking water. The shopping centre is located around 10 minutes away.

Location was excellent and room comfortable. Staff in the breakfast room were friendly and very efficient at replenishing the varied food selection on offer so everything was fresh. All reception staff were great and extremely helpful.

We would definitely have preferred a room with a walk-in shower (not bath with shower over) but the bathroom was always warm with loads of hot water and the pressure very good. One small negative - standard of the hot drinks available from the 2 machines was disappointing, despite trying various types of coffee never really got a 'decent' drink.

Location was perfect once we had found the place. The staff managed to change our room on our second day (when they could) because our first room was too hot (see AC comments below) and we had a view of a wall. The staff at this place were really good. San Sebastián is fantastic.

We are quite keen on being cool in the hotel when in a hot climate, so Air Conditioning is important and not usually a problem. After all Spain is a hot country and you expect AC. However, on this trip we have had a new experience. The AC at the Hotel Europa was not working and when we enquired, we were told it had been switched off because it was ‘the winter period.’ Actually they told us, the AC had been switched to heating, so if you turned it on, it was heating the room. When i checked it was as they had said! Anyway the staff were really excellent at this place and we didn’t make a fuss.

The hotel staff was amicable, very helpful, and thoughtful. The FOH staff took into mind my room notes and went above and beyond for my comfort, which was much appreciated. The hotel is 4 min walk to the beach which is fantastic. The old town is only 15 minute walk, and the area feels very safe and secure.

The demographic of the hotel occupancy is on the older side, which should be specified on booking.com, especially for younger travellers.

Very small thing only- tea and coffee was available to make in the room but only decaf coffee, why not a selection? There was a theoretical system of booking a breakfast time slot but this wasnt consistent and one morning we weren’t able to eat as we had to wait for a table but didn’t have a chance to get any breakfast before having to leave on a pre arranged tour which was a shame

The hotel has an amazing location in the center almost on the beach front: it's a 1 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the old city center. The room was nice and spacious, we got the corner room with both city and seaview. The bathroom had all the necessary items. The staff on the reception and during breakfast was very nice and friendly. The breakfast has a good variety with loads of pastry, warm and cold options, juices and fruits. The hotel offers the possibility for parking in the nearby garage for 25e/night.

The location is really perfect so close to La Concha beach on a lovely street. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really excellent with a super range of fresh fruit, juices, cheeses, meats, pastries and hot options too. The daily cleaning of the room with fresh towels was really appreciated

We booked six nights accommodation and we were very disappointed when we were initially given a very dark room with a window facing a huge wall. Considering our stay of 6 days we would have liked more thought to be put in to room allocation. However we brought it to their attention and they changed our room to a lovely room with a nice door and external views for the following 5 nights. They responded immediately to us. This made all the difference to our stay.
