Bidaia Boutique Hotel

Very nice and friendly staff , they do everything to make you happy and give you all the information about beautiful San Sebastián . . From messaging you all the attractions nearby to reserving an airport taxi for your early flight in the morning. Very beautiful hotel with spacious rooms … the hotel is in walking distance to the central area and beaches but if you don’t feel like waking you can take a bus ( bus station is 2’ away ) … their breakfast is yummy and very good price … If we come back to San Sebastián, we definitely reserve Bidaia Boutique Hotel again ..

Everything was good

Light, airy room. Huge, comfortable bed and excellent shower in the bathroom. Friendly staff particularly Marco who checked us in. He was enthusiastic and a delight to deal with. He recommended the food at the hotel so we had lunch on the terrace. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and good value. The building itself is beautiful and set in the Gros district which had plenty to offer in addition to Central San Sebastián.

A pet hate of mine is glass doors on bathrooms. Why do hotels do that? I was disappointed with the attention to detail by the cleaning team. When we arrived there was a stain on the wall by the bathroom which wasn't cleaned up during our stay. There was a hair clip left on the carpet I assume from a previous guest. There was a kettle and tea in the room and on one of the four days we spent there, biscuits were left along with the tea. Why only one day? It seemed odd. The above are small points which didn't spoil our stay but, when you are staying in a 'boutique " hotel and paying a not inconsiderable price, attention to detail counts.

This is a wonderful place to stay in order to explore San Sebastian. More than recommended. Very nice and friendly welcome at the reception for the check in/out. They gave us many interesting informations to explore San Sebastian and the surroundings, which we actually loved. Very efficient and friendly staff at the bar/restaurant. Relaxed while cosy atmosphere created by the interior design. Large, super clean and comfortable room. Soundproof windows protecting from traffic noise. The city center is a few minutes away and very easy to reach by car. Extraordinary good value for money.

Nothing at all.

The family room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is prepared on order, and very good ("yogourt with fruits" means really yogourt with cut seasonal fruits !!) Very friendly staff.

The room temperature setting couldn't be changed on the air conditionner. The air was blowing directly on 2 of the beds, where it was too cold to sleep! (we used the other beds, which were not directly under the A/C.) Also, the hotel is situated near railways, and it was very noisy so impossible to sleep with windows open..

Everything, receptionist Nora was a delight, helpful, chatty,very natural, a wonderful host. The decor is warm with a nice blend of old worldly charm and modern clean features. The room and bathroom were massive, lots of room amazing high ceiling with wow wooden beams. Breakfast was scrummy, best coffee and service in Spain. Servers were all happy and smiling. Food fresh and healthy. We would recommend very highly.

Nothing, everything was just perfect.

We booked the family room and traveled with our 17 month old twins. The room was lovely and spacious, the staff were helpful and thoughtful and the area was nice not right in the heart of everything but only a 15 minute walk which we didn’t mind.

The room does back onto train tracks and there was a train that ran though not very frequently. If you’re a family that needs complete silence then this may be an issue, but it wasn’t a problem for us and we would book the family room we stayed in again.

The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in of the many hotels I have been in over the last 2 months. The room was spacious and the setting of the old building, quite beautiful with a lovely outlook. And it had a japanese toilet!!

It’s not very central. While it is not far away from the main areas, it was still a walk of between 1-3km, depending on where you wanted to go. It didn’t have any bathroom accessories such as shower cap/vanity kit.

spacious, clean, comfortable room with WONDERFUL bed, and the warm hospitality the stuff demonstrated. bathroom is well planned and has good space as well. the room had big windows, automated curtain / blind and air conditioning. the architecture is very charming, atmosphere of an old house is well kept but it also feels modern with updated facilities. it’s on the rather big road but the house is off from the street, it’s peaceful and quiet in the room. it is not in the middle of busy part of the town but it is very close with the bicycle which you can rent for free at the hotel. 5mins ride to zurriola beach, around 10 to la concha, as well as the old town. One of the most comfortable room I ever stayed, I would love to come back.

The hotel is situated around 20 minutes walk from the old town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of tips on where to find great pinxtos. The superior room with balcony was very comfortable and quiet. Great shower pressure and comfortable, large bed. Room has a small mini-bar. The hotel has nice front and rear patios where you can enjoy a drink.

Telmo was exceptionally helpful and such a great guy. The hotel was convenient for the beach and in a nice area, well served with local buses.

Everything was so good that it's impossible to fault the hotel or the staff. However be aware that the Basque area is sometimes also known as the Green Coast. We were there in mid September, you may need a brolly for part of the time.
