Hotel Averroes

The location was good, not far from the city center, 25’ walk from train station. The room was comfy and clean, t RG he shower very good. The hotel has a classic style, not pretentious, and the staff was nice and helpful.

The light in the room was very poor. The bulbs were 40 watts….. I understand the need to save energy, and I respect it, but at night I would have liked to have more light in the room. I don’t keep it on the whole night!

A good three star hotel, located an easy 20 minutes walk from the main historical sites. It’s also on the bus route 3 from the bus and rail station. Bus stop very near hotel and every 20 minutes - we used it to return to station after being ripped off by a taxi coming! There was a good local taberno serving food 5 minutes walk away without the need to go to the centre. The rooms were clean, a good size, nice modern walk in shower and comfortable beds. Woukd have given it 10/10 except for the room safe issue.

We were told we had to pay extra to use the room safe…it should not be listed as included if it costs extra…annoying! Small point but there was just one tiny bin in the bathroom, a bin in the room would have been handy as we prefer not to ask for daily room cleaning when it’s not necessary, but you do need somewhere to put empty drunk bottles etc. We might have used the hotel restaurant if they had a menu available…we asked but no menu appeared to be available.

Breakfast was ok, but not as good as some reviewers indicated. Maybe due to Covid. There should be more clear information sent in advance about parking and driving in the area to avoid unnecessary worry about driving in areas with signs saying entry forbidden except to hotels. The hotel is right next to one such area.

It's a very nice hotel. Rooms may seem a bit dated, but i felt the facilities (lobby etc) and room looked more like a 4 star hotel than a 2 or 3 star. Also close to a supermarket and nice 15min walk to the old town attractions.

The location is excellent, with pedestrian access to all tourist places. Good price/services ratio. I can recommend that hotel to those who want to save money but dislike hostels, like me.

Breakfast had small selection of food: only fried & scrambled eggs can be chosen from hot meal so I can rate it as 6/10.

The room was clean and in excellent conditions. The staff was very attentive. The breakfast was amazing. It's a short walk from the hotel to the Mosque-Cathedral and Alcázar so you can get to the main attractions easily, but the hotel remains pretty quiet.

The hotel is big and it was a bit of a maze to get to my room, but it's not a big deal and you get used to it.

The facilities of the hotel are pretty clean. It also features a cosy "patio" next to the pool where one can relax and enjoy a coffee.

The parking of the Hotel is too little. It takes a lot of manouvering to park the car.

Really nice sized room. Wasn’t expecting to be so big. The room was cleaned after our first night (we stayed 2 nights), that was really nice. It was definitely a really nice place to stay. The pool was such a huge relief in those hot days. I have nothing to complain about

Excellent hotel; staff great; comfortable and good location. Great price. Pool is lovely and very welcome after a day of sightseeing!

It is about a 15 minute walk from the Mezquita-Cathedral.

The hotel staff on reception are absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent and you can walk everywhere.
