The main benefit of the hotel is its shared location with the excellent restaurant. It is delightful to enjoy a meal and have only a few steps to reach your room. The hotel went above and beyond to deliver a piece of luggage I had left to my next hotel on the island.

We stayed at a time with few other guests and the staff was almost never present--we saw only the maid and gardener occasionally. There was no reception staff and we had to carry all our luggage up many flights of narrow steps. Also the room, Vanilla Suite, lacked any sort of place for a couple to sit or eat inside the room. Guests should be advised that the hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or problems with stairs. Fortunately, we are very fit for our age but many older guests could not have managed the steep stairs.

The room was absolutely beautiful as was the property. Lots of thoughtful details, like a bug swatter lol. The bed was big and comfortable, and there was an automatic shade so you could make it dark in the room. The coffee maker was really nice. We had a problem with the hot water but that's because we turned the handle the wrong way, and nevertheless the manager came over on a sunday night to help fix it. The restaurant is closed on sunday (we didn't know this) so we didn't get to try it, but the following day after breakfast (which was delicious-- fruit was so sweet and perfect) we treated ourselves to some of the amazing cocktails and they did not disappoint.

It was a bummer the restaurant wasn't open every night but I understand. Our room was at the top of a lot of stairs so we got a little bootie workout carrying our suitcases up there-- for some people this might be a drawback so if you want to avoid that you might want to request a lower room.

It was beautiful , clean, and lovely.

It was a longer walk to the beach than anticipated. We think you must get a rental car if you stay there.

A truly great hotel in a beautiful setting. Florian and his team made us feel so welcome and were very helpful with any requests. The restaurant downstairs was one of the best meals we had in St Martin. The room was very clean and spacious. We’ll definitely be back.

Nothing bad to say. I would recommend hiring a car as public transport isn’t readily available, but that comment applies to the island in general.

Design, attention to detail, indoor/outdoor spaces, comfortable mattress, well-stocked

The toilet being so far from the bathroom was a bit odd. I would have liked pool &/or beach towels.

Great boutique hotel, minutes from grand case. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, particularly the manager (?) Restaurant superb, worth the prices. Included breakfast was fantastic. Place was spotless.

Stone steps up rooms might be difficult for some but were well maintained so we had no issues. Windows and vents should have screening as mosquitoes were present (although they didn't seem like they were biting!)

The rooms are so lovely. The pool and the in-room spa was delightful. The bed was dreamy. The staff are always helpful, friendly, and responsive, even in the middle of the night. The service was excellent. And the restaurant is amazing.

Outstanding friendliness and helpfulness of staff; comfortable room and bed; breakfast was just amazing and dinner one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Nothing we didn’t like other than leaving. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

One of the best lodgings I have found in over 50 years of travel, and one of the best meals of my life in the restaurant--expensive and worth every cent. The manager, Florian, is top-notch: friendly, effective, and responsive.

The location near Orient Beach & Grand Case was wonderful. Local shopping nearby. Morning breakfast was exceptional. The room and balcony had view of wetland with lots of birds, and the sea.

There was noise from a nearby building project. The hotel itself was lovely.
