Vila Gale Collection Palácio dos Arcos

The breakfast was very good. The location and the gardens were great. The hotel is beautiful and very pleasant to stay with a family. The personnel was very friendly.

Dinner was quite bad and not a positive value for money, avoid eating at the hotel restaurant.

I am a frequent visitor to this wonderful hotel and I can say with confidence that this traditional Portuguese hotel is very well modernized and it combines history with modernity. great view. lovely breakfast. polite staff. The hotel's excellent location allows for jogging and walking along the promenade. close the best beaches.

The staff that works at this hotel is wonderful. Sofía and Joao are lovely, they did everything to make our breakfasts very pleasant and we had everything we needed. They took wonderful care of our little girl. Breakfast is very good and the service is perfect. The cleanliness of this hotel in every corner is unbeatable. Congratulations to the cleaning team because they do a very hard and excellent job. . We loved the facilities, the room and the bed was very confortable. The children's areas are very well maintained. The chocolates that leave you every day with a poem in the room are a beautiful detail. If you want to relax it is an ideal place.

The temperature of the pools is too cold, we do not use them for this reason. I would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea.

It's the second time I stayed at Vila Galé in Paço de Arcos, and it's the second time my family and I enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The staff is welcoming, kind, and helpful. We had a problem with the toilet and it was immediately fixed. Thank you for that! We had half board and we really liked the service in the restaurant even if the waiting time between courses was a bit too long. The waiters are very dedicated to clients, and I would like to thank some of them who were extremely kind and made a very good impression (even with my daughter, who is extremely suspicious!): Sofia, you are the best! Thank you for the lovely desserts at our daughter's anniversary! Also, thank you, Eduardo, Pedro e Tiago! We'll be back 😊

There's nothing I can think of unpleasant or less agreeable.

staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable and the room was big. Everything in the bathroom worked as it should (not always the case!) Lovely garden to walk around in. Close to railway station where we could get trains to Lisbon or Cascais with very cheap fares.Good restaurants close by.

The only problem was that the sauna was not working (probably can't blame the hotel for that) and I do like to have regular sauna while on holidays. However, he plus side was that the hotel compensated by giving us a free evening dinner. Much appreciated.

The bedroom was spacious with a lovely balcony. The pool area was very nice with comfortable sunloungers. There was beautiful fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and fresh bread for breakfast. The chef cooked omelettes of your choice on request. We had lunch and wine there. They were a very good standard and very reasonably priced. Every member of staff was helpful & courteous. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There is a small indoor pool and gym. The grounds are lovely. It was very quiet in March which suited us.

The coffee and grilled food was lukewarm for breakfast. The old part of the hotel is beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are modern. We had to take two separate lifts to our room, which didn’t bother us at all, but some people might find that cumbersome.

Beautiful property, lovely grounds and facilities. Room very spacious and immaculately clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The actual location - I hadn’t quite recognised that the village was so small and not particularly a nice beach area there, so lots of ubers to nearby beaches! We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but whilst breakfast buffet was vast the breakfast and lunch food all tasted very bland. I expect/Hope dinner would have been better, as the menu did look good.

The room was well appointed, with a generous balcony with a sea view - albeit through trees. The pool area was exceptional, with a handy bar serving drinks and snacks. The breakfast was superb in the range and quality of offerings available. The staff were nearly all very friendly and helpful at all times. The aircon in the room was superb.

For some travellers, it should be noted that the hotel has been built in stages. Therefore, for us, there were stairs and multiple lifts required to access our room from the main entrance or from breakfast.

Helpful staff, going out of their way to help us with everything. Good breakfast and lots of choices including eggs cooked by a chef in front of you. Nice outdoor pool and great kids pool area (water a bit cold but refreshing!). Nice selection of good restaurants very close by.

Noise from the road however you didn't hear this in your room, only from the main hotel. All hotels in this coast area are across the main road from the beach, it's normal for the area.

The staff, hotel facilities and location could not have been better! A beautiful place. You could walk out of the hotel, cross the road and turn right or left and walk 10/15 minutes to lovely beaches in both directions. The pools and pool areas (indoor and outdoor) were fabulous. There was even a small gym. The breakfast was very nice. The room was huge and had a lovely balcony with a sea view (we were on the third floor). There was a small supermarket a 5 minute stroll from the hotel. A taxi (booked through Free Now) from the hotel to Lisbon airport only cost €19.

Everything was exceptional!
