Cascade Wellness Resort

Service has meaningfully improved since new ownership. The position is amazing. Will be even better once the construction in the area will be settled

The food was good. And the people nice and friendly. Lovely place to relax - the view and location beautiful and very special.

There were not enough parasols for sun beds and the fight for a sun bed was ridiculous considering the size of the property. Buy more parasols. Cleaners came in without knocking three times and interrupted us! And prior to midday checkout. Overly keen to clean rooms when guests are in the bedrooms.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. We booked the apartments which were spacious, clean and comfortable, with separate kitchen and lounge area in each. The staff at the resort are brilliant. (Mario, in particular at the bar restaurant took great care of our family group). Food was delicious

There were no available booking slots at the spa for any treatments. (advise to book in advance to not be disappointed).

Great facilities and really lovely room. Loved the spa and pools. The restaurants were great. Fantastic breakfast. Attentive staff.

The spa was closed for a private booking on the only full day I had at the hotel and this had not been mentioned to me at any stage in my booking or check-in. Although the facility opened again at 3pm this was not fair given the spa had been the main reason for booking this hotel. Staff at the spa were very heavy-handed about the way they tackled this -three of them marched up to me to insist I leave as if I was going to have to be evicted forcibly. I had entered the spa through a door that had been left open by accident. However, reception staff were very helpful when I spoke to them about it.

The resort was located in a quiet and serene part of Lagos, with plenty of trails for trekking in the surrounding area. The rooms were clean and spacious, with all the amenities you could need. The staff were friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure you had a great stay. The breakfast and food were excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. For example, when my husband forgot his six shirts in the room, they immediately packed them up and sent them to us overnight to Lisbon. We were so grateful for their thoughtfulness and helpfulness.

Beautiful location. Truly recommend! We soemd some awesome days overthere. If you choose to go to the pool in the spa area, there aren’t any children allowed so you can enjoy silence. Also there is a really really beautiful beach, 5 minutes walk, Praia do Canavial, which makes mornings spent at the beach and afternoons by the pool a great combination. Also the breakfast has a wide selection, with plenty healthy options.

A little bit far from Lagos old town. We always took an Uber, but it just aint’t expensive at all, 3-4euros/drive. But given the quiet surroundings, it is a nice trade!

Everything you could need was supplied in the apartment. Really loved that there was fresh water and coffee topped up daily! The pool was immaculate, garden fab, plenty of parking space in the garage. The bed was huge and comfy. Lovely place, great staff. Very helpful when the air conditioner blew the electrics and gave us a temporary ac unit as they couldn’t get it fixed during our stay.

The shower wasn’t great. The bath was a jacuzzi bath, quite deep, so it was difficult enough to get into and out of to take a shower and the water pressure in the shower was fairly weak.

We stayed in a one bedroom Apt which was very well laid out. The qualities of the build and fittings were of high standard. The daily house keeping staff were very friendly and stocked up on my coffee pods which was a lovely treat each day as well. Towels were provided at the three different beautiful pools and it was quiet and restful which was exactly what we wanted as a couple. I am not sure how quiet it would have been in high season with families but am grateful for the peaceful surroundings to help us relax and rejuvenate. We did not have a car and we enjoyed our walks to Lagos for dinner (about 30 mins walk), walks to the local mini market (10 mins) for breakfast treats back at our Apt and lunch...we did self catering which was wonderful as we were able to experience Portuguese life buying their food and enjoying their hospitality and cuisine. The front desk staff were always very accommodating if we needed any information and were always aiming to make our stay as best as possible.

We had a very relaxing week away. The staff were fantastic, they booked restaurants for us, went through maps with us. And were always very helpful especially Irina and Maria. Our apartment felt like hotel rooms which is lovely because you don't feel like your missing out. The washing machine dryer was very handy. Everything was very clean. The pool with the sand is a fantastic facility for kids. We walked to town for dinner and got a taxi back. Breakfast was delicious. You can get delivery of groceries, pharmacy supplies and local dishes to your apartment with uber also. Handy if your without a car. The cliff walks are lovely.

The spa pool should allow children under 2 for 1 hour a day from October to May, seeing as they find it hard to regulate their own temperature. A swing for babies in the playground would be great.

The rooms were spacious, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was big with separate bath and shower. There was a big window dividing the bathroom from the bedroom. The window didn't look out onto any special view, just the bedroom and a large patio, which wasn't private. So don't see the point of the window. There is a blind that closes over the window for privacy if preferred. The towels were big and fluffy. Bathrobes were very comfortable. The staff are super helpful and efficient. Even though the resort was full, with many young families, the breakfast area was cleaned continuously so wait times for a table were very short. The breakfast itself was amazing. A few buffet tables groaned with the freshest of foods and the fruits were fresh, ripe and exquisitely delicious. There was such a feeling of plenty.

We were there in the heat of summer. We were given two 1 liter bottles of water., very common in Portuguese hotels. There was a Nespresso machine with 2 pods pp. Once those were finished, you had to pay to replenish both the water and the coffee pods. I felt that cheapened the experience and advised so on check out
