Ibis Kraków Stare Miasto

location is about a 15 min walk from old town and fairly quiet from the pubs and clubs. the hotel has a nice bar with an outside seating area. you can get a pick up for tours and Ubers but if you’re not driving it’s worth noting the pick up is at the back of the hotel in the carpark. the staff didn’t tell us this when we checked in.

the room was constantly hot and the ac was a bit temperamental. the curtains were quite grim and wouldn’t close properly. the building opposite is an office block so overlooked during the day so if you’re changing it’s worth using the bathroom

What I liked the most was the restaurant and the breakfast options. Plenty of choices available and my kids and myself we were very pleased. I also liked the location, it was just steps away from the Kraków main train station as well as it provided easy connection to the Old Town.

I stayed in Ibis hotel in Wałbrzych prior to Kraków and my reservation was based on the experience in the previous city. However the amenities were nothing like Wałbrzych. Ibis in Kraków has outdated rooms and bathrooms (although clean). I also asked for two beds but they gave us a room with one queen bed and one that was like a full size or not even. I had to share the bed with my younger child and my almost 14 year old had to sleep in that small bed which was to short for him and was right under some metal structure so he hit his head in it many times when getting up.

Very convenient location near the railway station, efficent modern hotel, printing for us some important emails, Good breakfast, An excellent bathroom and shower.

Breakfast was very good, room clean and large enough. Staff very friendly. And luggage storage facilities after checking out were very helpful with the tag given for each piece of the bags. We did appreciate this service greatly. Overall very good stay. Thank you.

It’s not a criticism, just a remark to address. The water bottle you provide in the rooms need a bottle opener to open and I guess some travellers don’t carry one with them. We didn’t have one hence we struggled to open the bottles.

Absolutely the best hotel to stay in Krakow. It is right behind the train station, so any trips from Krakow to Wieliczka, Oswiecim or Zakopane was right from the train station there. Breakfast was really good with variety of cereals, cold cuts, fried eggs, hot dogs and vegetables. Variety of hot drinks and juices were also to choose from. Staff was very professional and friendly, making the stay a real vacations. Even though hotel was right at the busy street, you could not hear traffic at all with closed windows - place is air conditioned.

I was very late and arrived by bus only in the morning and it was very nice to let me check in even for the remaining 4 hours. That helped me to feel better before further travelling and I really appreciate it!

In general I didnt expect anything so was pretty happy)) oh, actually it took a while to find the hotel- may be hotel can think about any sigh on the railway entrance or some light box on the street or at least a name of the hotel somewheree hidgher on the building))

The hotel is located very close to the train stations, which is very convenient if you need to commute. Despite the fact that the hotel is situated near the road, the windows close so tightly that you can't hear the street at all.

The room is quite small, and there's nowhere to hang towels to dry, but they are changed daily, which is a big plus in such conditions.

The Ibis chain of hotels has its own room standard and you know what you're getting. Compact comfortable rooms, with a good abundant breakfast. 15-20 minute walk to the old town.

Because we had stayed at another Ibis hotel in another part of Poland, we were aware that one of the covid-19 measures adopted by the hotel is that the room will not be cleaned and the towels will not be changed during your stay unless you specifically ask for it at the reception desk after breakfast! Well, whether it is necessary or not to have your room cleaned daily is up for discussion, however, I firmly believe that it’s part of the holiday experience to return to a clean and spotless room without having to ask for it. In all honesty, I’ve never heard of such a thing and believe that this is simply a brilliant cost-saving measure. For this reason, I’ve given the below-average rating for cleanliness.

The position of the venue really close to the station and city center. Very professional attitude of the reception's and restaurant's personnel .

The rooms are very small and the position of electric sockets is very akward. Basically there is not a single socket close to the bed. The space in the room especially for two persons is really limited . Poor choice of food in the restaurant and prices are quite expensive as well.

The place is perfect as location - 200 m from the train station and from the Cracow University of Technology. Good rooms, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and good lobby facilities for computer work.

The usual Ibis desk in the room was gone and there was a children's bed - perhaps to accommodate refugee families. For families should be just fine. The Internet speed about 20:00 was getting too slow and not useful.
