Staybridge Suites The Hague - Parliament, an IHG Hotel

A beautiful hotel located in the perfect place! The views from the hotel were gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and our room was great - couldn’t have asked for more. Breakfast was included in the price (which was already very affordable) and there was a big range of food available. There was even a social event on the day that we arrived, which they do three times a week, where they were offering free drinks and snacks for an hour. Plus free hot drinks all day and cheap Heineken on tap!

There was nothing I didn’t like! The only little improvement would maybe be to have non-dairy milk available throughout the day (not just breakfast) to go with the 24/7 complimentary coffee and tea downstairs 😊

The comfort and tranquility of our room made our stay enjoyable. Having a well-equipped kitchenette is always a plus, and it's great that they provided basic necessities like towels, dishwashing soap etc. The coffee making machine with capsules was convenient for our caffeine fix! The bijou breakfast room offered a wide array of delicious choices to cater to various tastes and preferences. Freshly baked croissants, brown bread and pancakes as well as a selection of cold cuts and an availability of omelettes satisfied those looking for a hot and filling option. The laundry area can be described as a "dream" as it made it easy for us to do our laundry during our stay. The added convenience of being able to purchase washing tablets from the Hotel “pantry” saved us from any last-minute trips to the store. Having also access to coffee machines at the lobby for a caffeine boost at any time was a lovely perk to have during our stay. The Hotel's location was absolutely perfect! Being just a five-minute walk from the Mauritshuis Museum and Het Paleis, where you could enjoy an exhibition of M.C. Escher's work, made it incredibly convenient for us. Having also shops and restaurants within a ten-minute walk from the Hotel was ideal for dining out and indulging in some local shopping!! The view of a beautiful small lake with ducks and the Binnenhof (Parliament) right opposite the Hotel was delightful. It's wonderful that local artists also displayed their artwork along the banks of the lake during weekends, adding an artistic touch to the location. The Hotel staff, both at the Reception, the Breakfast area made a positive impact on our stay. We also appreciated the warm smiles and friendly greetings from the housecleaning team, especially the ones with an Asian background, who added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the Hotel.

The building was gorgeous. Spectacular view from the front as well. It was easily accessible from the station (I walked but there is also a direct tram). The lobby is beautiful, and my suite on the ground floor was spacious and well-equipped with a full kitchen. Only a little bit of noise from the adjoining street in the late evening. The bed and pillows were comfy. Staff were very smiley and helpful; I appreciated this a lot. The breakfast was good with a mixture of hot and cold food on offer. The 24/7 coffee/tea machine in the bar was also a great addition. I saw an advert for drinks in the lobby three times a week and thought that was a lovely initiative. Didn't use the small gym but had a look, definitely will use it next time. Great place to explore the rest of the Hague from.

The location is superb and the included breakfast was very good. Staff really friendly and accommodating. There are a couple of extra 'sitting room' areas which are available all day - really handy. Coffee/tea on tap any time (which is a real bonus when the location is so central). Although the space was quite small it was nice that the bedroom and sitting areas were separated.

Minor point but if you have a longer stay (we were a week) then if you want room service within that time you need to request it. Also, a quirky point, there was a leak from the atrium roof every time it rained (almost every day in our case) and each time the bucket came out to catch the rain. This was in an awkward place where everyone needed to walk during breakfast. It was hilarious but actually quite a nuisance too. Our stay was a week and it wasn't fixed in that time. Don't let these point put you off - we will definitely stay again.

the location is absolutely excellent. right in the heart of the city. just minutes away from central station. very calm and quiet at night. great for families.

the only this is that there is no ramp for easy access for strollers. parking is also terrible. the parking lot they offer was actually full every day so I would count on it being of any use.

Situated just across a lake teeming with flocks of ducks and seagulls, this hotel is quiet and beautiful, while still in the heart of the city. The breakfast is nothing short of extraordinary, with a variety that changes daily. A nice touch is the availability of coffee (very good!) and tea throughout the day. Just pop downstairs and enjoy a cup with a view or return to your room. Additionally, the in-room kitchen is well-equipped and even features a dishwasher. In every aspect, this experience was top-notch, leaving me with the hope of returning soon.

I wish there were slippers in the room. Got some thick socks in the city, but the floors are not heated. It's a minor consideration worth keeping in mind if you are cold-sensitive.

The location was good - straight across from the Binnenhoff and close to the old town and plenty of restaurants. We walked to the train station with our suitcases and we didn't find that too bad. However if you prefer you can catch a tram that comes basically straight in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the coffee machines were great based on what you want. The little kichenette was helpful travelling with a toddler. And the rooms were a great size for European standards. (we had One Bedroom Suite King Bed with Sofa Bed). Overall would recommend and we found the price was great.

Not a big deal for us but there is no room cleaning on the weekends. Breakfast could have a slightly more variety on a daily basis.

The room was cozy, but big enough for two for five nights. The kitchen amenities were nice, the bathroom was big and clean. The mattress was nice and firm, although a tiny bit too firm (I have back issues, so this is more important for me as it would be for other people). The breakfast was also really nice, and the free coffee was good!

The window faced directly into a corridor, so we couldn't leave the curtains open — so we needed artificial lights all day. Additionally, the windows couldn't be opened, so there had to be an air conditioner / ventilation machine going at all times. This was a bit noisy at night, and the cold air stream came out right above the bed, which caused a bit of a sore throat.

Very good breakfast (but limited seats for the size of the hotel). The coffee and tea is available around the clock - and that's a wonderful surprise when you're back from a daytrip. The hotel is close to everything - walking distance from museums and good restaurant. The market close to the reception has a good assortments of snacks and stuff you can need, for a reasonable price. Staff is kind and professional, always willing to help.

Not much to say - the only two points to mention are: (1) the limited seats for breakfast (but you can go down, get what you want and take to your room if you want), (2) our room faced the backstreet, that is really narrow and you get stuck almost touching the other building across the street. The issue was not so much in terms of privacy, as these are office buildings and were empty most of the time we were in the room. But with no open area, you have no sun. And for this reason the room was really dark and depressing.

Comfortable rooms with enough sitting opportunities, storing possibilities and a separate bedroom with ensuite. A nice and quiet breakfast area to start your day. Free coffee, tea and fresh flavoured water during your stay. Beautiful building and very friendly staff. The location of the hotel was excellent as a starting point for exploring the city, close to the beautiful Hofvijver and Binnenhof of The Hague.

Some of the switches and sockets were a little bit loose. The tab in the ensuite was too. The drainage point from the shower area was very smelly, as if it hadn't been used for some time. Other than that were the sounds from behind the building at night that sometimes interrupted the silence.
