I liked: ** daring style & decent workmanship ** excellent plumbing ** quite decent facilities, proper gym for example ** bar staff, who are a good laugh ** excellent beds ** excellent plumbing ** Right by a major bus trunk route to AMS, Haarlem, etc ** high calibre managers - some serious staff attitude issues & service quality problems arose, however the management were able to handle my frustration well. Note that I was not offered anything to smooth it over. This is purely conversation.

You're going for "avant garde" --- but translucent WC door with no lock?! Not OK Florian buddy. (Use the general WC on the residential levels and bar instead) ** Guidance notices might be handy for some of the nifty quirks. Heh... ** Staff have some learning to do. The management has this under control however, therefore a rarely exceeded 8 review. Will stay again if the occasion arises.

The location was perfect as there was a bus stop just a few minutes away, which made it easy for us to go to and from the city, and was stress-free when we went to the airport. We loved the aesthetic of the room. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had a very strong water pressure (toilets too), it made us feel like showering under a waterfall. We were able to connect our phone to the TV for Netflix and Disney+, which is very rare in most hotels. Complimentary coffee was great.

We didn't like how 'airy' the pillows were. They were too fluffed up, as if it were filled with air, we struggled to sleep at times as our heads were too much at an angle that we ended up sleeping without the pillows. We wished there were pairs of slippers to walk around the room as it wasn't a carpeted room. I wished their breakfast started at 6am instead of 8am onwards during the weekends, as we had to leave for an early plane, we would've loved to try their breakfast before we left. If you are specific and that you want natural light into your room/you want a scenery, be sure to specify that as we had a view of the restaurant so we had to keep our blinds down which kept our room quite dark but we didn't really care.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you step inside it is stunning! Staff are kind and helpful. Bed was SO COMFORTABLE, I slept so well each night! The shower was very nice also The location for us was fantastic as we were so close to public transport and to the airport. We also arrived early and got to check in early at no extra cost! The woman on the desk when we arrived was extremely helpful!

We didn't enjoy the breakfast that much so we only got it one of the days. The pastries were good but the hot food wasn't great. It would be a great idea for them to have an airport shuttle bus, rather than having to get the public bus.

This hotel is what should be referred to as “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. The outside didn’t look too much but the interior was extremely beautiful and green. Room cleaning was done every day, the only thing was that I took my new towel which was also white but has a different design and bigger that the hotels, when I got back to the hotel I noticed it was gone. The person that cleaned prob thought it was theirs, I notified the reception and they apologized cause it would have been too difficult to find it. There is a bus station 3 min away that goes to the airport in 2 stops (7min) and from there you take the train that goes to Amsterdam central (15min) . Will definitely consider staying here again

The breakfast was perfect. Various types of food. The lobby was amazing. Nicely decorated. Too much advanced technology. Checkin -> checkout -> parking -> all digitalised… we’ll directed. You don’t need any contact with the receptionist or other person. You can order food from room only scanning a QR code. Room was clean … the pillows were super comfortable and the bed as well. The Bar was also well maintained. The guy was very friendly. Modern hotel like this absolutely make your trip comfortable and tension free. I hope to go again …

This hotel's staff are very welcoming, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. The design of the hotel inside and outside show strength, sharp lines, and brings the light from the outside. I particularly like the lighting around the bar, the dining area and the living/communal rooms. The kitchen was completely open, allowing the guests to observe the cook busy preparing the meals. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and I like that they had vegetarian choices. The bedrooms were roomy, I like the glass walls of the shower and toilet, the open organizer right next to the humongous sink with a large mirror and light. I cannot say enough about this hotel. I only wished I could have stayed there for the rest of our time. I love the space for children, the spiral stairs that goes all the way up to the third floor, the plants on the huge pots, the plants on the upper floor done in a semi-circular shape that softens the brightness and adds natural beauty. The bar in the centre is also very attractive. I hope to one day come back here and hope everything would stay the same. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Our bedroom windows overlook the smoking area outdoors. Although people seating outside may not see us inside, I felt that there's a lost of privacy. I definitely will ask for a higher floor or a room that does not have that exposure.

Amsterdam accommodation is very expensive and this is an excellent option if you need an overnight stay close to the airport. Staff sent us details how to catch the bus from the airport and it was very straightforward. Beds very comfy and bedding crisp and fresh.

Scam warning: We received a WhatsApp the day before leaving for Amsterdam from someone claiming to be a representative from The Florian hotel. They offered us a "free transfer" from the airport to the hotel and other services. Please do not respond to this! There are hackers into the Booking.com system and this is the result. Rather call the hotel directly if you are uncertain. We were also sent a request for payment from scammers for the same hotel.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. There was some technical issue with air condition in out room and they did not hesitate to check this at 10.30 PM and solved this very quickly. Room vas very nice, cozy, clean, there was everything you need. Coffee/tea available in room for free (included in price). Breakfast was very tasty. There is bus stop 3min walking from hotel, which is 6min from Schipol airport and from there you can take direct train to AMS centre. Also it is near Keukenhof, which is must see. If we go to AMS again, we will stay in this hotel again.

The location is great if you get the Amsterdam travel ticket. The room was clean, well decorated (as well as the rest of the hotel) and had plenty of desk/self space. The price we paid was quite fair for Amsterdam standards and the hotel lives up to it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room service was a bit "random". Sometimes a towel was missing or there was an extra one and the soaps (hand and bath) were not always replenished. Not a big issue but something to keep in mind. Also, the price for renting a bike was maybe a bit high.

The hotel, and bedrooms, were modern and stylish. The beds were comfortble. The shower was great. The staff were all lovely and friendly. It was the perfect place for our stay, and deinitely in the top 10% of hotels I have stayed in for city breaks.

Very little to find fault with. The buffet breakfast was a bit cold but we did come down for breakfast very late. The bread, the cold meats, cheeses, coffee, cereals, yoghurt etc. were all great. So it was hard to find anything that was not perfect.
